The performance of my Dolphin S100 was fine up until a few weeks ago when it stopped covering the whole pool and started going to one corner and… Read more

"getting stuck" going backwards and forwards for short distances. I took it to my pool shop and was told it was one month out of its 2 year warranty. However, Maytronics covered the repairs under warranty which was a pleasant surprise. I give the product 4 stars because when it's working it does a good job, and I appreciate that the repairs were covered by warranty even though technically they could have refused this. But it's not great that there were issues after only 2 years and 1 month.

Cleaner does a reasonable job but continually misses the same areas of the pool. The app is a PITA to use. Everytime you log in you are sent an email… Read more

code and need to enter that into the app just to login to get the cleaner out of the pool or anything else that’s required. Most annoying and frustrating. The filter basket is good and easy to clean, the robot always turns the same way so tangles the power cord quickly, the amount of suction is a little poor and generates a cloud of fine dirt as it goes. For the cost of this cleaner I expected more.

Great Pool cleaner that does the job – Scrubs the waterline, climbs the steps and ledge. Leaves the pool immaculate. Easy to clean. I have a 7x4 Concrete pool and I opted for the wonder brush. Bought for $999 on a boxing day special Show details

Dolphin cleaner not worth money spent – Brought this unit from Clark rubber Cannington just over 3 years ago after trialling the unit instore. Worked great for the first year. After that… Read more

needed to reset clean start for every use and it would only go for an hour then needed restart again. Cleaned basket at every stop but no change. After 3 year with 6 months no use for winter no communication from controller and stopped working completely. Took to store for repair and told motor seized and all internal parts need replacing. $1000 to fix. Would not waste that money again on an overpriced cleaner that only just lasts through warranty period. Main debris type was sand and small leaves which the cleaner handled well for first year or so then after that took about 3 cycles to remove what was done in one. Cord tied itself in knots and had to untangle so cleaner could reach other end of pool. Would not recommend this cleaner to anyone thinking of purchasing.

This is the first reasonably priced pool surface skimmer that you don't have to pull out of the pool to recharge, the latter burden preventing me… Read more

from buying one until now. Dolphin's (or Maytronic's) pool skimmer is set and forget except for having to empty the leaf collection basket when it is full. The unit skims off leaves and other floating debris very efficiently. Once debris is captured it does not leak out even when the unit reverses (unlike some other cheaper brands. It follows a random path around the pool but given a couple of days it cleans the whole surface, including any debris stuck to the side of the pool at the waterline. The best thing is that it manages its own power. The whole top surface of the skimmer is a solar panel used to keep the internal battery charged. Upon the sun rising in the morning, the skimmer starts its work. You can vary its behaviour by programming it but the smart option is to program it to work for 20mins and then rest for an hour to recharge unless their is sufficient sunshine to keep on working on sunpower alone. When that sunpower becomes insufficient, it rests for an hour and automatically finds for itself any unshaded part of the pool to rest in to maximise charging rate. We have used it now for 2 months and it works very well. It captures a lot of debris before it sinks to the bottom. Come winter with less sunshine, its efficiency may drop but I think it would still be very useful, just "resting" more of the time. At $850, it is not cheap but appears to be made with quality. If you care about a clean water surface, it is an asset. It is turned on and off via a Bluetooth connection and can be manually steered that way but this appears to be unnecessary - its random path appears to cover a regularly shaped pool (square, rectangle or kidney) quite well. Its only weakness I think is the claimed ability to avoid a cable to a bottom cleaner is valid only if the cable is not moving (ie, the robot is off) - our experience is that it cannot always avoid becoming trapped in a moving cable.
