Excellent build quality and firm ride, impressive off road capability and handling. I have purchased Pajero in 2015 brand new, used it for few years and overall it proved to be a good choice. Engine pickup was slow however, but I enjoyed every ride.

The ASX is our "family car". It's a solid build which continues to serve us well after several years. We did have an issue with the touch screen being unresponsive but this was repaired at no cost by Mitsubishi (apparently a known problem).

Very disappointing experience with Mitsubishi Motors Australia regarding warranty support for my 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. The gear selector trim… Read more
began peeling within approximately 2–3 years under normal use. The issue was raised early through the authorised dealer network and dealership documentation referenced deterioration/failure of the adhesive and material fatigue. An adjacent trim component was accepted and repaired under warranty, however Mitsubishi declined the gear selector claim as “external influence.”
Despite repeated follow-up, months of delays, an incorrect repair appointment, and escalation through the Office of Fair Trading, Mitsubishi maintained their position without identifying any actual misuse or specific external cause.
The most disappointing aspect has been the customer service and lack of accountability throughout the process. I purchased a new vehicle and maintained servicing through the authorised Mitsubishi network specifically for peace of mind regarding warranty support and customer care.
Unfortunately, this experience has significantly reduced my confidence in both the Mitsubishi brand and their warranty process.
Would not consider purchasing any vehicle under Mitsubishi for their false "warranty" - as in practicality they are not honouring this warranty.
For the money, it's a great car – I bought a demo model in 2018. 5 years later with 50,000 km on the odo, I haven't had any issues at all. For the price, the features it has, and its… Read more
reliability, you really can't go past it. A couple of things to note: - have the tyre pressure up to 38 instead of the recommended 36 - it helped the drive quite a bit (a tyre place put me onto this). - use the B (brake) on the CVT auto to help slow down the car so you don't chew through the front brake pads (a tip from a dealer).

Bought a new Mitsubishi Triton GLS Premium equivalent last year and ran into an issue that shouldn’t happen on a new vehicle. The plastic panel… Read more
around the driver’s seat controls plastic trim sticks out noticeably (around 1 cm). Because of this, it caught on my clothing or maybe shoes when getting out. In my case, it snagged during normal use and the panel came loose and broke.
I’ve never seen seat trim designed like this. trim should sits recessed, so there’s nothing to catch on.
The bigger issue is the response — the dealer declined to repair it. For a vehicle that’s only a year old, interior parts should not fail from everyday use.
The Triton itself is fine to drive, but this design choice and the lack of support after the issue occurred is disappointing.
2017 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Exceed Bought my Pajero Sport new back in 2017, and it’s now ticked over 140,000 kays. Honestly, it’s been rock solid.… Read more
I service it myself every December — it’s that easy. Anyone who can handle a screwdriver and a spanner will have no trouble doing it. You’ll never need a workshop with this car; it’s built simple and smart.
Only issue I’ve ever had was a small leak in one of the intercooler hoses around 120,000 km — replaced both just to be safe. Still on the original front rotors, barely touched the rear brakes, and the engine doesn’t use a drop of oil.
It’s done plenty of towing and weekend hunting trips off-road, and it’s handled everything with ease. I don’t flog it through mud holes — just use it properly — and it’s never missed a beat.
What cracks me up is the online ratings. My car’s got nothing but 4-plus-star reviews from owners, yet somehow ends up with an overall 3.9. Meanwhile, Jeep — the king of breakdowns — scores almost the same. Go figure.
Verdict: Super reliable, tough, and easy to maintain. Would buy the same car again tomorrow. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wanted a PHEV, spent many months going over different models and the Eclipse Cross (EC) kept coming up as the best value for money. End of model… Read more
runout pricing made it compelling so purchased new in September 2025 (Dec 24 build, the very last).
Good points: hybrid system is extremely well sorted, ICE motor cuts in and out as needed almost unnoticed. Charges from "empty" to full in about 5 hours from standard 10amp socket. AWD+electric motors mean it's handily quick away from a stand still without being a rocket. About 45km real world range in EV mode is sufficient for daily driving, of course more would be nice. Frugal in hybrid mode, 45 litre tank + full battery gives about 650km real world range for highway driving. Higher SUV stance means easy to get in and out, roomy comfortable interior. Dash and instruments are a little old-school but look good, are functional and well laid out. Reasonable boot space with rear seat up, lots with it folded. Great ride and comfort, handles well. Adaptive cruise control works well. Doesn't have attention monitoring (yay!).
Not so good: suspension is a bit soft but not too bad, doesn't have latest safety features such as autonomous braking or lane keeping, but does have warnings (I actually think that's a plus). Cross traffic alert sometimes goes off when sitting at traffic lights, hands–free tailgate opening can be finicky. Regen braking level is forgotten when cruise control used or taken out of drive, it has to be reset when going back into drive. No spare wheel, though roadside assist comes with the warranty. Can only set charging start/stop time (up to 5 different sessions), can't set % charge. Connect app only works over a few metres via WiFi, but it's good for setting charge schedule and turning on climate control before entering the car. Just make sure you go into settings and select the car's WiFi network first. My phone seems to connect to any other available network in preference.
Overall extremely pleased with the car, it does everything I want it to in comfort. Servicing and insurance costs are reasonable, fuel cost is negligible. City driving is great, highway with 3 or 4 adults is also very comfortable. Built–in navigation (Tom Tom) is good, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also available (wired is standard but easily upgraded to wireless, and wireless charging, with cheap aftermarket items).
Response to some other reviews: It was claimed the EC was banned from import, it wasn't. Mitsubishi decided to end production in 2024 rather than update to meet 2025 ADR requirements for autonomous braking. Final run–out cars were sold until early 2026. It had a 5 star ANCAP rating when tested in 2017 (but would not get 5 stars in 2025).
Someone said it has a 35 litre tank, that's wrong. The ICE models are 60 or 63 litre, PHEVS 45 litre.
