riding. This catastrophic failure caused him to flip over the handlebars and hit his head against a stationary car. ​It was a terrifying situation. When I went back to the store to report this major safety defect, I expected support. Instead, the staff were incredibly rude, refused to take any responsibility, and showed zero empathy for the fact that a child was injured due to their product. ​To sell a bike that breaks in 48 hours is bad enough; to treat a long-term customer with such disrespect when safety is involved is unforgivable. I will never buy from 99 Bikes again. Parents, please be careful trusting this store with your family's safety.

I have returned the cycle and received the funds in my account.

A little pricey – I asked my son in-law (a club member) to buy me a valve key from your Castle Hill store, after the club members discount, he was charger $18 for a plastic one, a Topeka valve tool (TVTD1). bike I wanted in an XL frame, spent the next 10 minutes searching the computer to tell me "a medium" bike was not in stock!!!(?)

I don't blame him, he should never of been on the shop floor in the first place and obviously the training at this branch leaves a lot to be desired. I walked out after a feeling like we didn't matter, which was the exact opposite of my first experience, so lift your game 99 bikes and I will look for my bikes at a store that will offer me a level of service all customers should receive.

Fantastic customer service – Jordan at 99 bikes, Castle Hill, is one of the best sales people I have ever had to deal with. He constantly went out of his way to source products for me and find various options to suit my needs. Professionalism, period – I approach 99 Bikes with some issues with my noble but ageing Cosmic Mavic Aero wheels and indexing issues. The bike mechanics gave me the best advise, the indexing issue was just a derailleur hanger a bit bent and new sets of bearing brought my nobles wheel to a "brand new" feeling. If any is looking going the Castle Hill store I would say stay away. the owner could not give a crap about people who are waiting and standing out in the sun and not once any one came out to ask if we were ok or offered water . . boy was riding the bike, as a result he had a fall and was injured. We took the bike for repairs under warranty and left it at their store for repairs. After few days we got it back after being repaired. However paddle popped out again after few days of use once again.

This time the service manager said that a new part has to be procured from head office and replaced, once that arrives they will repair and get back to us to return the repaired bike. So far so good.

However after sometime when we followed up, we were told this bike is beyond repairs and we need to buy another bike from them at discounted price.

Since it was under warranty we hoped for a replacement or refund of money, strangely they started blaming us and started to allege that we tampered with the paddle and damaged it so the warranty is void?!?

We objected as we did nothing of the sort that their service manager started was alleging - it was a white lie. We just hoped for replacement of bike with another one or refund of money. Yet their service bloke told us he could do nothing as they are only retailers and the company that supplies these bikes has closed their doors. He then started showing attitude and physically handed over the bike to us. (He had already threatened us on phone though that if we did not visit the store to collect the bike immediately they will start charging us storage charges as some kind of penalty) -

Looks like they do have a dodgy supply as part of their inventory as a result almost 1/3rd of their clients get cheated one way or another...
