Worst Customer Service Ever – I bought a set of pads for my Sons Otto E Bike which he purchased online, his rear brakes were wearing quickly. mechanic, without even looking at the fault, stated "We don't work on those bikes, company policy." I thought the company policy would be more like that on the website, "At 99 Bikes we are the experts in Electric Bikes and E-Bike Serving. We have all the tools and technology to service your Electric bike to the manufacturer’s standards." Never going back.
Extremely poor customer service – Spent $219 in store on two tyres and four tubes for my son’s bike had the rims in my hand ask them to put the two tubes and two tyres on and he’s very kind gentleman upstairs in the bike service department said I can’t do it we close at 4pm and it is 3:45 pm I’ll give him credit he did say leave it with me and I’ll do it tomorrow and I kindly replied don’t worry about it it’s only gonna take me 10 minutes I’ll do it when I get home Show details
Biggest piece of crap bike, terrible customer service – I brought a bike for my 3 year old son for Christmas from 99 Bikes and had an all round terrible experience. bike had been hidding in the back of the car until Christmas day. When he unwraped the gift there was already rust on some of the bolts, the bell was broken and the training wheel coming off.
Third, when we returned the bike and asked for a refund or exchange, they rejected our request and said the bike was still able to be fixed in it's current condition. Despite my repeated request for an exchange or refund they refused. Did a dubious job of fixing it and sent us on our way.
Since then we have had REPEATED and ONGOING issues with the product. It is, in plain language, a piece of crap.
If you're thinking of getting a kids bike I implore you to avoid this dealer.

This is THE place to go to service your bike – Stanmore 99 Bikes isn't my local bike store, but it's the one I am willing to travel 45mins across Sydney because their mechanics are fantastic - have all the technical knowledge and ability and really quick! They have top level customer service - doesn't matter how big or small the job is, or how cheap or expensive the bike is. I have zero hesitations recommending them because they go above and beyond, every time.
Great Service to Customer with a Disability – Was in urgent need of replacement tubes for my electric wheelchair. I was able to order online and when I rang the store to arrange pickup the staff member, after I advised him that I was in a wheelchair, was more than happy to deliver to me in my car where I was parked across the road in the McDonald's carpark
Very helpful service – Richard the Sales Rep was incredibly helpful assisting me to identify the best possible bike rack for my car: 2 bike holder plus an additional 2 bike holder. Overcharged – Attended Annandale 99 Bikes earlier today. Purchased Chain Lube and CO2 cartridges. After paying I was told the receipt would be emailed to me. Now, at home, having a cursory look at the receipt I see that I was charged for 5 CO2 cartridges, when I purchased and took only 4 I.e. Great service helping with my daughter's first peddle powered bike – Really pleased with service from Nicholas who helped my 4 year old choose her first peddle powered bike. She was super excited and Nicholas looked genuinely stoked to be part of her big moment. He found a great fitting bike and didn't pressure us to buy anything we didn't need (but did suggest streamers might, which was a good call). Gave us good advice on training wheels too. Good Customer service – The team at Stanmore are always attentive and helpful with my basic enquiries about bike maintenance such as brakes, fitting bell, putting and taking off wheels, smart trainers, cleaning…there’s lots of intricacies such as these within cycling that us amateurs need help with. Brilliant workshop service – I took my Trek bike in after having problems with my rear derailleur, which another bike shop had problems adjusting. I had booked a service, but as it was only the derailleur that needed adjusting, I was only charged for that, with no fitting charge for a new chain. Fantastic Service – I had my bike serviced but there was still a residual problem. I took the bike in to get looked fixed, they reviewed the problem, sourced and installed new disk break pads which eliminated the problem. The thing that blew me away was they did it for no charge! Excellent help from Ben – Ben provides outstanding customer service. He was very patient to explain me how to use a pump air for my bike. Unfortunately the first one I bought there had a fabric defect but Ben did his best to fix the problem. I recomend Ben for his calm and positive attitude. Show details

Poor customer service and communication – I ordered a basket for my bike at the 99 Bikes store in Stanmore and paid a deposit, waited 2 weeks, no call that the item has been received and can be picked up. who does that. I was offered to order it again and wait another 2 weeks or get my deposit back. Needless to say that I ask for my money to be refunded which I got but it took almost half an hour for the sales rep to go back into the computer and hand back my deposit. To order the basket was an ordeal (took just as long to order and pay the deposit as getting the deposit back) as well so overall I was very unhappy with the lack of service and communication which is a shame as this is my local bike shop and I would love to support them. After they sent me an email asking about my shopping experience and I answered how unhappy I was and why. However haven't heard anything back from 99 Bikes, it doesn't seem they are really interested in improving their services.
Staff too busy talking to each other – I went into 99 cycles today with $1000 for a bike burning a hole in my pocket. Online prices with great service – I went into 99 Bikes after finding out they had the same prices in store as online, I was able to pickup and not have to wait for delivery.
Worst Service Ever! – Before Christmas I bought a Knog Blinder rear light from the Stanmore store. On the first ride it malfunctioned by switching off when the bike hit the slightest bump. The store would not give me an immediate exchange like other retailers but said they had to send it back to the supplier to see if it could be fixed before I would be considered for a new one. Australian Consumer Law says that I should get an immediate exchange if the product has a major problem. I will never shop at 99 bikes again. They love to take your cash but after sales service is garbage. I have never had this problem with Pushys who are an awesome bike shop.
Stanmore branch – It is very rare to find a mechanic like Andy at Stanmore! Amazing job, super helpful , knowledge excellent. Will go back there every time I need something.
