Great help with all things bikes
Over 12 months for every visit I have found - great service, great suggestions, great help at 99 Belmont. Mechanics are skilled and knowledgable, they stock a terrific range of gear and their electronic comms are tops. What more could you ask for? Marg M Como.
Great service and good prices.
I commute on a bike, have the weekend dual suspension MTB, kids bikes. I've spend just a little time riding. I've purchased bikes and had service / repairs done on older bikes at 99 Bikes Bayswater. With the gold membership ($30) I saved hundreds (no exaggeration) off the purchase price, and off various tools, gels and accessories. Good membership has been worth it for me.
I found them substantially cheaper then other bike shops and competitive to online prices. Stock has been limited in the last 12 months (over 2020), however that's every...
brand new bike my chain snapped within 2 weeks the person i was dealing with kept saying the workshop people weren’t in therefor he couldn’t make a decision and i would’ve had to wait 5 days till they could make a decision and i had already planned to go for a bike trip over the long weekend. it’s a brand new bike can’t see what decision there was to really make he then was saying you should’ve brought the bike in for a service prior to the chain snapping as if i would know my chain was going to snap in advance i had already spent all my christmas money on my brand new bike so my dad had to buy me a new chain so i could ride my bike to work.
Terrible customer experience and no refund
Here's a timeline of the absolutely abysmal customer experience I had with 99 bikes Indooroopilly.
Note: The bike has not been crashed, had the derailleur bent by me, or mishandled during transport to and from the shop (On a bike rack, with the derailluer on the outside)
- Ordered a Merida Big 9 200 and was told it would be ready by the end of the month (This was a large part of why I went with 99 bikes, as the bike was going to be in stock, when other bike shops freely admitted it would be months before new stock arrived.
Nov ...29 2020- With the only communication and updates received were from me calling the store, the bike finally arrives. The guy behind the counter is only interested in my money, doesn't want to answer any of my questions about setting it up for the best ride, tyre pressure etc and just wants me out the door. I wanted to buy a new helmet and some other components, but he made such a poor impression, with his complete lack of interest, that I decided to get most of my stuff online. I left the store feeling pretty damned unvalued, as a customer. Dec 11 2020 - On the third ride on this bike, doing commute from work (~25 mins) as I approached my house and climbed a hill, the rear derailleur snapped and went into the spokes. - Took the bike in to get it replaced, was told it would be ready within a week.
99 Bikes was awsome
Great service. Jack helped me dicide on the best E Bike for me. Highly recommend this store and would shop there again.
Happy to sell new items but don’t expect after sales service.
Purchased new bike. Recieved email about bike service shortly after purchasing. Dropped off bike at 930AM. Returned at 130PM. Technician advised “Not ready yet just looking for job to do” Left store to grab drink but decided to return and collect bike. Technician taking in 1-2 jobs. Understand Business but cannot believe a bike cannot be looked at within 4hrs when near brand new. Not a bike technician but seems unreasonable.
Poor customer service
This is my second experience 1st experience with Kyle it was amazing such professional he is excellent customer service which definitely brought me here again but this time extremely disappointed John paul, mate you need to improve your customer service skills speaking polite doesn’t connect you to the customer but the way you deal actually make your connection with customer first thing in the morning we came here and honestly I am offended the way he said “you want to get your work done in free??? So arrogant, disrespectful , disgraceful I can go on ,definitely this is my last time here I won’t come back.
Terrible service - Kickr18 warranty claim/repair
Purchased a kickr18 from 99Bikes in Brookvale and my kickr18 developed the same issue that many kickr18 units were reported having (the terrible vibration on the flywheel). Doing some basic google search confirmed that this is a known issue and Wahoo was addressing it worldwide. I took it back to 99Bikes at the end of December'20 and was assured they would arrange with Wahoo to have it repaired or replaced. After a few weeks I phoned to find out what was going on and was told the unit is still at 99Bikes but then asked if I had a video of the v...ibration. I told them I did not and they said not too worry as they can make the video and send it to Wahoo. I started phoning every week to get an update and each time they promised to phone me back with an update (never phones back). On the 6th if February I had enough and drove to the store to get an update just to find out they still did not bother to do anything. This is the worst service I have received in my life and for a unit at $1500 one would expect a decent level of service. Their attitudes are that it is Wahoo who is causing the delay but in fact they are to lazy to record the video to send it to Wahoo. Shockingly poor attitude towards customer service.
Ordered a bike in oct for a birthday in November was guaranteed delivery in early December bike didn't arrive till February never received return phone calls about this matter ever. Constantly had to chase the shop was assured I would receive relevant compensation. I will never buy a product through 99 bikes ever again completely incompetent staff and will never recommend for anyone.
Great store, all round
Great prices and great communication.
Good for a laugh, a chat and advice for the RIGHT product, even when that product is on someone elses shelf.
They take care of me, so I'll take care of their bottom line
Excellent help from Ben
Ben provides outstanding customer service. He was very patient to explain me how to use a pump air for my bike. Unfortunately the first one I bought there had a fabric defect but Ben did his best to fix the problem. I recomend Ben for his calm and positive attitude.
Absolutely amazing service! Kyle serviced my brand new bike before leaving the store in a flash, astute and in great style straight away!
I have never bought a brand new bike before and Kyle went thoroughly over every detail with a sense of humour!
Your manager would be so proud if you and you definitely deserve to be recognised for this! Thanks team!
Exceptional service from 99 Bikes Everton Park
I was given exceptional service from 99 Bikes Everton Park, especially from Tony, who picked up a bike for me from 99 Bikes at Canon Hill, as Everton Park was out of stock. Also, the Perfect Ride guarantee was great, as I was not totally happy with the original bike I purchased. It was easy to upgrade to a better bike. They even swapped a seat post for me to get a suspension seat post without charge.
E prime false and dangerous
Dangerous/false ip7 proof ,range/speed ,Srja (job agency) bought for clients fulltime, employment travel ip7 and range of 25kms speed off same was requirements for safe punctual arrival to make the sale instead its gets 10kms range @top speed less than advertised n required and more importantly for safety reasons firstly not water proof to ip54 let alone 7 and breaks fail any puddle n lithium explodes when wet, electronics short out at minimum. considering I carry the 11kg weight home and arrive late now till I figure out what to do or get fi...red ,i would b to generous if I rated this product at all and as the client with no receipt only srja purchaser I have no choice but to ride n carry this thing till anyone of the certain issues cease me from doing so or I figure out a safe affordable solution ...false dangerous n misleading
Repairs lousy, customer service lousy!
I bought my son an "E bike "from 99 bikes Hoppers crossing, they seemed very keen to sell it to us. However when it needed to have brakes fixed and a puncture repaired well that a different story.
We took the bike in on Australia day, and there were not many people in the shop, a couple were seemingly buying a bike for their child which had the absolute attention of the sales staff, One guy wanted to buy gloves, who came in after us, and some women wanted a tire.
3 Staff appeared to be in the customer service area, ( may have been more outback...I don't know ) one of the staff was on the front counter and didn't seem to acknowledge that anyone else was waiting and the order they were waiting in. One"mechanic" was working in the workshop and a brief walkthrough from another guy. Anyway, after about 30 minutes of not being acknowledged at all for waiting, no eye contact, no "we will be with you in a moment sir" or anything, I happened to mention to my son who was patiently waiting with the bike for some kind of service that I said I thought the service was horrible, and I'm tired of waiting and maybe we should go somewhere else. ( I kept my voice relatively low _). I guess the "mechanic" heard this and told me in a very condescending way to "calm down" and he would get to me "soon" even though the guy with the gloves jumped cue and was served first. "Calm Down" seriously..is this how to treat a customer?! I sure hope that 99 cycle staff treat bikes with more respect than their customers.
Excellent service, very helpful
I recently purchased a bike rack via click and collect at this store and it was a quick process. Got my bike rack and they were nice enough to load it into the car for me. Had a small issue and they went out of their way to help me and offer a solution. Good service, will be going back to them for more bike stuff.
Confirmed my service booking but then told me they couldn't do it when i arrived
I booked a bike service through the 99 bikes website where i clearly described the make and model of my ebike.
My booking was confirmed.
After riding 20 minutes to the store and carrying my bike up the stairs, i was told that they cannot service e-bike brands that they don't sell.
This wasted nearly an hour of my time. The service booking system clearly needs work.

Outstanding service from Matthew
I originally visited the store to buy just myself a new bike, but with the amazing service from Matthew, we decided to get all new bikes for the whole family! Matthew took the time to understand each of our individual needs and styles and matched us with the perfect bikes to suit. Matthew's approach was genuine and caring as he explained to us the different options and features. He was never pushy, like some salespeople can be, and ensured we felt comfortable and fully satisfied with our final selections. With our young family, we will be needi...ng new bikes again in the coming years and there is no doubt as to where I will be visiting and which salesperson I will be seeing. Thank you, Matthew, for your outstanding service and great conversation!
Misinformation of my order
Ordered a renthal stem and was promise that it will be in by nxt week then waited after three weeks of waiting and constant calling them of wheres my item finally told it was not coming as it was out of stock i could have ordered it on my local bike shop never ever going back again
Amazing customer service
