Jason leads a team that goes above and beyond
Always greeted within seconds. Plenty of stock in the store to test out and willing to work with what you want not what the shops need sold.
This is the difference between these guys and others.
Also mechanic sorted my gear issues straight away for half the price and independent mechanic was paid to not fix it.
Such great friendly service
Needed some parts for a second hand soon bike. Christian was incredibly friendly and efficient and found what we needed and fitted them quickly with a smile (behind the mask lol).
Prices were great too. Perfect shopping experience!
Excellent Customer Service
Just wanted to say “thank you” to the Kedron 99 Bikes Store. We purchased a couple of electronic items which were recommended to us by one of their staff, however, the items didn’t work in our situation. After speaking to the manager on the phone, and returning the goods to the store, he organised a full refund of the goods, which we really weren’t expecting. It’s nice to know that there are still businesses out there that are willing to listen to your circumstances and come up with a fair solution. Thanks Team Kedron! :)
Had an issue with a purchase from 6mths ago. Daniel could not have been more helpful. Great communication and service!
Ripped Off Treated Like Crap
Bought a chain breaker was shown how to use it it broke thought it was maybe my fault bought another same thing happened. Was treated like dirt no refund accusation have been thrown around. Sent email after email abused lied to about the warrenty told i must of used it on a rusted chain. Then told they arent to be used multiple times. They were both broken first time. RUDE DISCUSTING BEHAVIOUR.
I have bought a few bikes and numerous accessories over the past 2 years across seven 99 Bikes stores. My experience has been mostly positive. But I will shout out to Tim at Ipswich. Expertise and excellence in Customer Service. Listens carefully and offers valuable recommendations. Have found all the staff at Ipswich to be very helpful.
Great store - shocking customer service
I’ve been in this store twice. The first time I was lucky enough to get served but the sales person didn’t have a lot of time for me, probably because I wasn’t wearing Lycra and didn’t have a big budget. The second time I stood around waiting to be at least acknowledged, let alone served, but gave up. Again, perhaps because I wasn’t wearing Lycra and/or, I’m not Male. most of the all male staff were either talking to each other or had their heads down over the computer - I think there were 2 people serving, the other 8 or more, not. I gave up and decided to give my business to another bike shop with better customer service. Not going there again.
Best service on the free first service on my new e-bike. All little wearing on issues fixed, both what I mentioned and what they picked up themselves. Top job. Fully recommended. Thanks Guys. It's like a different bike.

Kawana 99 Bikes always gives me poor service!
Whenever I go to Kawana 99 Bikes, I always get treated poorly - like there taking advantage of me because I’m female. Though when I go to North Lakes store they treat me respectfully and are extremely helpful and passionate! My major issues with the Kawana store is how Gary (the worker) treats me and a millennial guy who sold me a $5000 race bike and indoor set up and barely gave me any directions on how to set it up, repeating “it’s easy” when he didn’t even know exactly how to set it up. I sold the complete set up for $2000 because I wasn’t ...shown the directions even after going back to the store and asking again for help, they didn’t give me any further directions. Gary on the other hand has gave me poor service many times! What stands out though, is when I was looking at helmets and asked if they have my size. Gary looked at the helmets, than walked away and said “oh well”. I just asked Gary for the right chain for my Norco Charger bike. He asked how many gears it has and said he couldn’t look it up on the computer as it’s not in the system anymore and than gave me a 11 speed chain - the wrong size. I than found the right information on my phone and asked for the 10 speed chain. I feel like Gary always treats me like a stupid female, under minding me every time I need assistance. At the Kawana Store, it feels like I’m walking into a mechanics with rude men who just see dollars on females. My male friend has recently told me they done the wrong thing to his bike and ripped him off at this store. I avoid going to the Kawana 99 Bikes Store to all costs and most of the time, make the long commute to North Lakes instead. I will never recommend this Kawana Store to anyone!
Amazing service and great knowledge
Thanks to Jason and Tom for the faultless service and assistance with the selection, purchase and my set up of my new bike. Over a very difficult COVID period these guys helped me with securing my bike and ensured it was ready for collection in a timely fashion. When I went to collect it, Tom spent quality time with me to ensure it was set up perfectly for my personal requirements. He carefully took me through the whole bike, explaining its features and functions making the experience even more exciting. I had such a great hand over that has ...been better than purchasing some cars. Well done team, I’ll certainly be back again. 99 Bikes might have stores everywhere, however the experience here is far better than others and worth the trip for me.
Great service from Daniel who took care of issues I was having with my brakes. He understood the urgency of my situation and sorted it with minimal fuss and speedy service.
Terrible customer experience and no refund
Here's a timeline of the absolutely abysmal customer experience I had with 99 bikes Indooroopilly.
Note: The bike has not been crashed, had the derailleur bent by me, or mishandled during transport to and from the shop (On a bike rack, with the derailluer on the outside)
- Ordered a Merida Big 9 200 and was told it would be ready by the end of the month (This was a large part of why I went with 99 bikes, as the bike was going to be in stock, when other bike shops freely admitted it would be months before new stock arrived.
Nov ...29 2020- With the only communication and updates received were from me calling the store, the bike finally arrives. The guy behind the counter is only interested in my money, doesn't want to answer any of my questions about setting it up for the best ride, tyre pressure etc and just wants me out the door. I wanted to buy a new helmet and some other components, but he made such a poor impression, with his complete lack of interest, that I decided to get most of my stuff online. I left the store feeling pretty damned unvalued, as a customer. Dec 11 2020 - On the third ride on this bike, doing commute from work (~25 mins) as I approached my house and climbed a hill, the rear derailleur snapped and went into the spokes. - Took the bike in to get it replaced, was told it would be ready within a week.
