immediately taken to the workshop where a young bloke (didn't catch his name but may have been 'Kurt') had the bike up and running in 5 minutes flat. He obviously knew what he was doing and installed the brake pads and brake assembly with ease.

I was more than happy to pay for the excellent service however, on returning to the counter to pay, was advised there would be no charge.

So, in summary, instead of wasting my time making a bigger mess, I was back home in no time at all with the brake operating perfectly.

Great service from all staff – A very professional dealing from start to finish. Promptly greeted at door and my bike taken upstairs to the mechanics. Discussed what was wrong and they listened then they offered up some other ideas that it could be, asked for a few more days to look at it and I said yes. So helpful saved disappointment at Christmas – I purchased a kids push bike from a dept store went to 99 to assemble it and found it had damaged forks, returned it to the other store got a refund and went back to 99 and purchased an assembled push bike which was exactly was my grandson had asked Santa for. Wish I had a different LBS – Needed a new tyre pressure gauge, some rim tape and if I was feeling wealthy, a bottle cage bc mines a bit bent. No pressure gauges in store and they only stock digital. I want an analogue one. Didn't have 27mm rim tape and I said 25mm would do. They only had tubeless tape for 5x the price. No thanks. I also needed spokes to lace up a new wheel but didn't even bother asking. So I left with a bottle cage

Loose pedal – I bought 2 Silverback bikes pedal came off my sons bike bad stack still in process of getting fixed elsewhere.

Misinformation of my order – Ordered a renthal stem and was promise that it will be in by nxt week then waited after three weeks of waiting and constant calling them of wheres my item finally told it was not coming as it was out of stock i could have ordered it on my local bike shop never ever going back again  Show details

Poor Customer Service – Took my 3 daughters in to purchase bikes, asked staff for assistance and got completely ignored. I’ve since emailed head office who never responded. Browns Plains store, you’ll never get my business

I always chose this store because the customer assistance is outstanding. Excellent customer service – Best customer service I have experienced in a long time. Staff was very helpful and didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need. Gave me a better deal than I was expecting and they were very thorough. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to family and friends.

Great service but more advice should be given – Boxing day 2017 we purchased 2 mountain bikes for around $2000 in total. The man who served us was very friendly and helpful in regards to models and pricing, even pumping the tyres up so they were ready to go. that would last and any accessories or extras we would need to get started. First day we got home i was so excited we took our bikes out before even unpacking the car. They were awesome!. We took them on a dirt road then just on the foot path. Next morning i was so keen to try my bike out again only to be extremely disappointed to find both our 2 day old bikes had all (4) flat tyres. When my partner took the tubes out to have a look he could not believe how thin the tubes were for mountain bikes. If we had been told the tyres/tubes weren't very strong from the start we would have simply purchased stronger tubes at your store the day we purchased the bikes. Now we have to purchase new tubes online and wait for them to arrive when it could have been advised to us from purchase to also get stronger tubes. I'm not bad mouthing the store. Again good customer service was lovely but more advice when asked about should given.
