Do not stand by the products they sell! – DO NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL! After purchasing an electric scooter from them just over a year ago - and needing an inner tube changed - only to find out that they can not do this???!! I had to take it somewhere else for assistance? ……. And cost close to $1000!! Still not happy about this situation

Pedal e bikes - expensive rubbish – I bought a Pedal Galaxy from 99 Bikes Capalaba less than a year ago on advice from staff as an everyday commuter. I found out later this is 99 Bikes own brand. It really wasn’t up to the task and has been regularly in the shop for gear problems and services. Bits and pieces fall off it and I’m only doing a 6km each way commute. Thought I would… Read more
upgrade and read on the 99 Bikes website about their trade-in policy. If 80% battery were still left etc, with nice examples of how much they might pay and how it works. Turns out it’s just a gimmick, they can’t test the battery in store so they charge you for a replacement which is coincidental how much they might pay you for the bike as a trade. Bottom line is they say their own product is essentially worthless before it’s even a year old. They are happy to sell their crap and then clearly won’t stand by it. Stay away from Pedal brand and probably a good idea to deal with more honest bike shops.

1st service and gear adjustment – I picked up my bike after it's service by Steve and it rode like a brand new bike, the adjustment to the gears was perfect and the gear changes are now smooth and instant. Brake adjustment sorted out those issues also and repositioning of handlebars on the extension solved my sore neck issues. Friendly, Organized, efficient – I purchased a new bike in Dec 2016 at the Capalaba store. Over the 7 years all my services on the bike, advice or any related purchases have been at the Capalaba store. The staff are informative and helpful. Paid for and ordered a bike that has not turned up yet – We purchased 2 bikes on April 22nd with the second due for pickup within the week. Not happy – Took my sons Merida Mountain bike in with broken brake “lever” nothing else, paid $38 for new lever and gearshift in one, had intentions to do myself but was quote it would only be $40-$60 for them to install “just brake lever “ picked up this afternoon and price was $140 …. That’s nearly $180 for a brake lever, I have just serviced my sons rmz250.. new plugs , filter, oil and tune for $10 more than a bicycle BRAKE LEVER WTH????

Poor product kids bike and poor service – Poor product. Bike for 3yo had pedals that were extremely stiff making it difficult and uncomfortable to ride and subsequently unsafe to ride (due to the distraction) He subsequently rode into gutter drain hole. Poor service: The staff said the bike could NOT be adjusted; that it will wear in in time (I have heard the grease cant be very viscous… Read more
until it spreads around). No other solution was offered; the boy (or his parents) will have to wear the grease and pedlas in. In the meantime, the little boy can hardly ride the bike. I will be looking at our consumer rights.

Brayden then set up my sales order and lay buy with a bit of assistance from another team member and processed my deposit. It’s excellent to see an enthusiastic bloke learning the ropes and have a great attitude towards customers.

Waiting time in the store – I arrived at the store and looked around but couldn’t find the item I was looking for . to come to the counter to serve me, in that time 2 other staff members went past me with even asking if they could help. The store only had myself and 2 other customers in the store at the time and they were not being attended to either. I think as it was quite that was very poor service I did finally get served and his service was fine , he wasn’t as helpful with a couple questions I had about my bike but that’s ok

Seamless experience – Really helpful and friendly staff. I walked out of the store completely set up with bikes for myself and 3 kids. It was a seamless experience and I felt really comfortable there not having any knowledge about bikes or what I wanted or needed.
