Tim from 99 bikes Ipswich was a great help with rebuilding a rear wheel – 965032-Timothy from Ipswich was brilliant help after I destroyed a rear rim on my ebike. He had a replacement wheel in stock and was good enough to transfer my cassette over to my new wheel. Show details

Atmos Gap – Bought this bike specifically for the BVRT around Esk. Bike has filled the role well.Staff wee friendly, helpfully and informative. 1 x 8 transmission has proved more than adequate, mechanical discs work well and the overall quality of the bike seems excellent for the cost . Have done over 60 ks at this stage...happy! Show details

Outstanding staff and general disposition of the company… – Daniel was outstanding, he listen to my uneducated where it comes to more modern bicycles and what I thought was wrong, was wrong but no less, he had it fixed in less than five minutes. He was polite, courteous and the water bottle holder I bought he put that on for me as well I seriously could not recommend especially Daniels service in any… Read more ·  1

Actually I will add, the bloke at browns plains was outstanding and the other staff helping with Zip payments.

Purchased a new item, received a used one – I recently ordered a car rack online and went in-store to collect it. Upon opening the box, it was immediately clear that the item was used. There was visible dirt and mud, including noticeable tire marks on the frame, mud around the bolts, surface rust, and scratches on the top tube securing bar. Additionally, the assembly bolts were loosely… Read more

packed in a generic postage satchel, with none of the original protective packaging present.

Given the condition, I promptly repackaged the item and returned it to the store for an exchange. I’m extremely disappointed that a used or open-box item was being sold at full retail price without disclosure. This experience was a complete waste of time and showed a clear lack of consideration for the customer.

I wouldn’t recommend the Ipswich store to anyone – Staff were very rude. As a female going into the store asking specific questions after restoring an old cruiser bike they shrugged me off and told me to not waste my time and to just buy a new bike. I wasn’t interested and after multiple attempts for asking for help I wasn’t satisfied. I went to another bike store and they got me exactly what I… Read more

wanted and more. It’s disgusting how I was treated and as a paying customer and a member of the rewards program I am not recommending this Ipswich store to any of my friends and family.

Great customer service and knowledgeable staff – Tim from Ipswich 99Bikes helped me choose the correct bike for my needs, gave me a great price, and organized everything along the way. He even called me and delayed the bike being delivered because he wanted to personally inspect the bike and make sure I'd be happy when it was delivered ... outstanding service!! Show details ·  1

Excellent customer service, happy to invest my hard earned money into this store – This may be a long one, more relevant to 99bikes corporate than anything. On the 3rd of May, I collected my bike that had been serviced at the Ipswich store. It was pretty extensive, replacing a crankset, cables, fluids, brake pads, lots of stuff. In total it was about $430 worth of work. The team were great to deal with, the process was easy… Read more ·  1

and pickup was easy too. Months prior I had seen the workshop technicians to get a quote on the service and they gave me the best way to get it serviced in the most cost effective manner. Normally I’m a bit skeptical, especially big chain franchises, but I later learned this was genuine.

After I had taken my bike home, I took it out twice for a lap around the block. It wasn’t until the Sunday that I took it for a decent road trip. I had made it about 5km from home, when I noticed the left crank arm was getting wobbly. I stopped, checked it immediately and noticed it was loose. As I didn’t carry the tools with me or really have the proper knowledge to fix it the only option was to cruise home. Within 100m of cruising back the crank arm had vibrated out the bolt (rolling on flat ground concrete bike path) and the crank arm subsequently fell off. It was a long 4km walk home from that point, however it wasn’t until the Monday that I could see the team about it.

I took the bike in to the store at 8am the Monday morning, I was met by Matthew (in case it’s the wrong name, he was the older gentleman with salt and pepper hair) who blew all of my expectations of customer service out of the water. I figured benefit of the doubt was a good approach, because parts fail, things happen, but what matters is how someone rectifies it. This is where I was blown away.

Matthew, took it upon himself to replace the crank arm immediately, conduct a full check of every bolt on my bike. He then went above and beyond to test out the tuning of my front derailer as it wasn’t quite working correctly. Throughout the whole process Matthew did this while keeping the customer in mind, providing a great experience as I did not once feel stupid or like I was trying to rip someone off. Which is the sign of an absolute professional and I really appreciate these days.

The professionalism of the entire team is beyond anything I’ve seen since having my bike serviced at the local and only bike shop in a country mile elsewhere in Australia. The customer service, quality of craftsmanship and follow up to ensure quality has left me with a strong feeling of faith in the 99bikes Ipswich store.

As a result, corporate take note, of my own volition I was in need of a new helmet. Instead of looking online for the cheapest option, I decided to purchase one then and there with Matthew. Because I believed that quality of service provided at this store on multiple occasions deserves strong investment to keep a good business going.
