If I could give 0 stars I would. Bought a new bike before Xmas. (Roughly and $800 bike on sale down to $500). Bought new pedals just after Xmas at same store. Employee from the store fitted the pedals. Pedal fell off and the pedal had stripped the thread. 99 bikes apparently replaced the crank arm and completed the first free service. since it was… Read more

replaced have been back 4 times because pedals and pedal arms were slipping immediately after the service was completed. Was told it was fixed. Literally rode the bike out of the shop and went back in 5 minutes because it wasn’t fixed. Bike mechanic was told it was still happening and his response was “I don’t f*%king know what’s wrong with it.” Finally fixed the slipping issue after we had left the bike at the store but it caused the gears to make noise and the pedal arms were to creak. Took it back again and was told that my 12yo son was “riding it faster than it should go, and wasn’t greasing the chain often enough.” Also told “chain was loose and it’s not a road bike”. I would have thought the chain would have been check at least when it was brought back numerous times. Then told we had to buy degreaser and chain lube for the bike (upselling). 2 month old bike sounding like a used bike and being told it’s the 12yo old fault. Have bought bikes from Kmart that have lasted longer than this one. Lip service and no accountability followed by offensive language and being told it’s user error. Not a chance I’d tell anyone to go there or ever go back. I’d rather pay to go to another bike store to get it sorted than deal with 99 bikes. They did fix the bike for free over and over but the whole experience was very disappointing

picked up. The cost wasn't as much as I was expecting as they were able to clean and re-grease an existing part that I thought would need replacing.

The mid-week phone call was friendly and the in-store service was honest and easy to understand. When the time comes to buy a new bike, I'll be going there for advice. Thanks guys!

50 year old bicycle Restoration – I decided to restore my childhood bike. After going to several bike shops and getting nowhere. I spoke to Andy and explained it was more than just a bike to me. I told him what I wanted and he said what options were doable. After a couple of conversations I think we were on the same page. So I left it in his hands.Picked it up today and it looks fantastic. said it was 7-speed. When I explained that I had purchased the bike a day before and it was only 6-speed, he cut me off and said it was actually 6-speed and that the website specification was wrong and might need to be updated.

To me, this sounds odd, but I can only take his word for it and hope that the advertisement is corrected and reflects the full and accurate specifications.

day, and got a beautiful bike for a great discount, along with a solid warranty and a package that got me a few very cheap services in the coming year, so I feel really secure I made the right decision. Recommended - big range, no hard-sell, and knowledgeable, nice staff who won't look down on you even if you are a complete newbie to ebikes.

They make you pay when they get it wrong – I bought an expensive bike. They said they didn't have the right lock in stock and their supplier were out of stock, but if I got it somewhere else they'd install it. They even wrote it on my purchase order. lock in stock and fitted it. They charged me for the new lock and said the $115 lock i'd bought was now my problem. The staff were friendly, but they wouldn't take any responsibility. They said I should not have believed the staff member who advised me.

I have never bought a boke from the store but I have bought plenty of parts for the bokes we own. We own about 20 bikes ranging from very young children to adults. bought a bike from the store is because all the bikes we own were purchased second hand or left of the side of the road for council to take.

The staff are also very helpful in providing advice on how to fix a bike we find or someone gives to us.

I think the store and the way they are run is exceptional. Also, it appears as if the staff actually know a lot about bikes.

Fantastic service – 99bikes was so accomodating in providing communication for the bike i wished to purchase. I was very impressed with their profressionalism and kindness. Nothing was too much. I wouldn’t trust their servicing – A little mixed about the store. They were very polite and helpful and I purchased a $6k e-bike (MTB) which has been great, but I have only covered 100km on it thus far, so a bit early to be 100% certain. The thing that irked me about the shop was that I specifically asked if the bike could be setup to ride away for my weight (sag etc setup). … Read more

Sure they said, come back in 30 min and it will be done which appeared like outstanding service…however.

Seat post and bars not tightened, suspension setup for someone that weighs 50kg, sag was well over 40% when I jumped on, tyre pressure low and gears not quite right. Clearly the bike had nothing at all setup other than fit some pedals that I purchased along with a water bottle holder.

I expected a bit more for a $6k bike, esp when you look at what you get for your money. I can only imagine what the markup on bikes must be, but surely enough to setup the bike properly. A local store (not 99 bikes) seemed far better, however they did not have the bike I wanted at the time. I’m now thinking I should have gone with them anyway.

Awesome service and great range of bikes – Friendly staff with a great attitude and fantastic service. Purchased two mountain bikes for my girlfriend and myself and the guys there helped to take the time in choosing the right bikes for us. click and collect is slower than temu – The shop staff are helpful, but… the click and collect from their website takes more than 2 weeks (slower than temu!). I ordered the wrong shoes size, and the exchange has been taking another 2 weeks and they are not ready for collection yet. So, it has taken more than 4 weeks since I ordered my shoes through click and collect. The shop staff said that they can’t do anything since they are being dispatched from warehouse. Show details
