Sure they said, come back in 30 min and it will be done which appeared like outstanding service…however.

Seat post and bars not tightened, suspension setup for someone that weighs 50kg, sag was well over 40% when I jumped on, tyre pressure low and gears not quite right. Clearly the bike had nothing at all setup other than fit some pedals that I purchased along with a water bottle holder.

I expected a bit more for a $6k bike, esp when you look at what you get for your money. I can only imagine what the markup on bikes must be, but surely enough to setup the bike properly. A local store (not 99 bikes) seemed far better, however they did not have the bike I wanted at the time. I’m now thinking I should have gone with them anyway.

Great Service – As always the guys in the workshop are fantastic. I had a slow puncture yesterday the guys replaced the inner tube and I was back on the road within 10 minutes. Thankyou !!!! Show details ·  1

Nice that basic parts like chains and brake pads are in stock – Getting sick of having to wait for parts, was nice to walk in and select a chain, brake pads and tyres and have them immediately available. Show details ·  1

Endura Luminite shoe covers - not fit for described purpose – These look and feel like they should do the job, and they are great in terms of fitting over non-bike shoes, but they do not do the job at all. I have had them five months now and worn them in all kinds of rain. They are marginal in light rain or brief showers but anything consistent or heavy is too much for them. a sealed main seam, except through the sole of my shoe. And they take a VERY long time to dry, so it's a problem for a commuter cyclist even using them just to keep plastic bags in place over their feet (as I have taken to using them for). They should not be sold as being 'waterproof' as this is simply not true. Friendly and helpful service at 99 Bikes, but then the guy did tell me they'd keep my feet dry, which was decidedly UN-helpful. Save your $$ and tape some sponges to your feet - end result will sadly be the same, but at least the sponges will dry quicker. (Sorry for long review, but I know this would've helped me when I was researching...)

The Bentleigh store was welcoming and very happy to undertake the service. Jerome undertook a thorough assessment of the issues and communicated what issues he had found. guards, gears and breaks). Put in a warranty request for a new break lever and chain guard. Jerome also explained the service plan for the next 12 months , which we had not heard of. He also inputted data into our bike computer for additional security and further explained additional protections available. Our bikes are running better now than when we purchased them.

To be honest, we went in to just get a kid's helmut and ended up buying that plus one adult helmet, a kid's and an adult's bikes - all because she offered such great service! :)

not get the attention of anyone to take our money.

We ended up leaving most of our items on the counter, and our several hundred $ purchase was downgraded to just $23.

I have been shopping at 99 Bikes for 2 years, and the service at Bentleigh yesterday was very poor.

They repied 3 weeks ago with: Hi Mark, Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. I'm really sorry about the level of service that you received in store at Bentleigh. This is definitely not the experience we want to provide you. Would it be okay to pass your message and details onto the store team leader so they can contact you to apologise and discuss? I can see in our system that you have a membership with us, so I have your contact details. Thank you.

I replied on the same day with" I guess so. I got the membership thinking it was good value, but I had the shits the other day. I went to Giant Ormond and spent $230 after the crap service

3 weeks later and not a single word from anyone. I guess they just don't care.
