Charlie from the Blackburn Bike 99 team was fantastic. He knew the issues of my derailers straight away, gave me several options and fixed my MTB on the spot. Very professional and got my bike and the kids' bike back on the road. Thanks heaps!!

Great Service on my Giant Road Bike by Sidney – I've always had a good experience with the workshop team at 99 Bikes Blackburn with my Norco gravel bike. Today was the turn of my Giant road bike and I'd like to acknowledge the great job Sidney did. He is a true professional and the bike is running like new. out of my price range he explained why and show me the reasons behind his recommendation and I couldn't argue with difference between the cheap price and spending a few hundred dollars extra the quality and features were far better than the cheapest price e bike that I had in mind so a big thankyou to James for looking after me and I will definitely be going back for all my bike serviceing

Good old-fashioned service! – I took my bike for a ride by the bay and discovered that my left hand brake wasn't working at all! When I took it to 99 Bikes in Blackburn where I bought it a few years ago, they remembered me and gave me the best advice and attention. Jason and Sydney were down to earth, relatable and explained the mechanics of what went wrong. All in all, I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested. Show reply

Professional and Expert Service – Brought my two year old Trek Rail in for service and some repairs. Wasn't impressed with where I had it serviced previously. Super friendly service – Had to bring my son's old bike for inspection which eventually led to a write off and a purchase of a new one. Lucie has been very helpful in explaining the problems in detail and also with the size recommendation for my son. Bike service chain repair – Had bike serviced at short notice the staff at Blackburn were brilliant, then one day before my sons competition his bike chain link snapped and the staff waited till I got there which was just after closing time, and actually repaired it as well . Bike Repairs & Service – I purchased my Bamfire eBike about 15 months ago and noticed that according to my chain gauge, it was in need of replacing as is customary the rear cassette also needed replacing, and the rear wheel hub and bearings needed replacing. be completed by Monday evening so that I could ride on Tuesday it was completed as promised by Tuesday when it was pointed out that the pedal bearings were wrecked so I replaced the pedals. I delayed making this review until I completed my 50 km ride today. I could not be happier with my bike's performance. Everything worked. I moved through the various gears and there were no problems. I would certainly like to thank Mohsen for servicing my bike and would recommend 99 Bikes for servicing and repairs.

Weird invoicing system – Had a warranty claim on faulty compression fitting on Norco Search Gravel Bike. Mechanic said no charge as warranty approved by Norco. Had another bike problem fixed for $10 but when saw invoice by email. I was charged a further $20 labor to fit the warranty compression fitting bringing total invoice to $30. 99Bikes don't give an invoice on the… Read more
day when pay so can't check billing in store. Invoice is emailed. After complaining online it was explained to me that the $20 labor charges were internal charges and EFT totalled $10 despite invoice totalling $30. A very weird billing system. On a positive note response to my online complaint was very prompt. Norco Search is now riding safely again. Glad this was resolved quickly with a minimum of fuss.
Just have to get same warranty problem sorted on second identical bike purchased for my son at the same time as first bike from 99 Bikes. Hopefully will be more straight forward. Norco Search is an impressive bike on all surfaces and climbs the steep stuff nicely. Just a bit slow on the bitumen with its 43mm standard knobby tyres

Great bikes at great prices but don't use the workshop – This store is my local bike shop so I try to support them. I've spent over $4K there by my calculations and have purchased some very nice bikes for the family at very competitive prices. The purchase experience is usually very good. about letting you go for a decent test ride, which is also an absolute must.
Unfortunately any goodwill generated during the sale is rapidly burnt by the after sales support in the workshop. These guys are overworked, in a hurry, stressed and often come across with a roll-the-eyes blame-the-customer attitude. They're either too busy to do a good job, or incompetent. I'm not sure which. Every single bike I've purchased has been so poorly assembled that I've needed to take it back soon after purchase for adjustment. Not only are the problems rarely fixed, new ones seem to be created. My most recent bike went in 2 weeks after purchase for a rattly internal cable (which couldn't be fixed) and came back with front mech shifting issues. The tech was very defensive and blamed me but on further inspection the big chain ring had 2 badly damaged teeth and needed a warranty replacement. He suggested that I'd damaged the chain ring myself and Shimano might not come to the party which was completely false. 2.5 weeks later I was informed that my bike was ready to pick up with the new components covered by Shimano. When the tech wheeled the bike out it was clear that he had been WORKING ON THE WRONG BIKE! My bike was still not fixed when he finally located it. He tried to fix it while I waited but was clearly flustered and couldn't find the correct parts. In the process he managed to drop my new bike on the floor without an apology or even cursory inspection for damage, just a comment of 'that'd be right'. A second bike leaning against the wall was also knocked over while I watched. I think I know how those chain ring teeth were damaged now......
I'm horrified at the lack of care and responsibility. I'm thinking of purchasing a new front chain ring myself and taking the bike to a proper workshop. I'll be out of pocket but at least my pride and joy will be safe in my care.
