I have never bought a boke from the store but I have bought plenty of parts for the bokes we own. We own about 20 bikes ranging from very young children to adults. bought a bike from the store is because all the bikes we own were purchased second hand or left of the side of the road for council to take.

The staff are also very helpful in providing advice on how to fix a bike we find or someone gives to us.

I think the store and the way they are run is exceptional. Also, it appears as if the staff actually know a lot about bikes.

Booked my bike in for service and after paying $159 there was hardly any difference to the brakes, chain, lost screws, tyres. Very disappointing as they used to be terrific. Show details

WONDERFUL SERVICE! – The service staff and the front desk at Preston were so amazingly helpful esp when my bike rack on the car would not open. and set it up for me to jump on including changing a very fussy seat which took some time to do. they are very good humoured and personable - i highly recommend them. I also saved myself $80 as i have a membership with them.

Restoring a Fisher CR-7 successfully – Thank you Jack and Stephen for helping me restore my 35 year old Fisher CR-7.Their advice and knowledge on how best to complete the restoration was fantastic. Bad staff, never go to 99Bike's again! – The bike shop staff Eko stole my cash $50 when i was paying the cash for new bike at the counter on 5/June and can't find the video for that moment. Beware this gun, especially when you are pay cash. He knew what he can do over there !! Show details

stock/prepared only one of them; they answer phone, email, messages if and when they want; and, some of the staff are rude. I am done of them. Being cheaper not keep customers for too long if they treat us like numbers/garbage.

Very poor customer service – Online technician told me wrong advice resulting in an incorrect purchase. Went into Preston store to buy additional item to rectify the situation (having checked online that the shop had the item in stock). have it in stock, no apologies, a real attitude when I asked for one to be bought in from another store over the next week (he wanted me to drive a further 15km across town to find one), then as I was literally driving away he approached my car to say I had to leave a deposit in order for the other store to send the rack. Who does this? I said I wouldn't because I don't trust that it will necessarily fit my bike, I will pay once I see it installed in-store to make sure it fits, especially because one of their technicians caused this f-up in the first place... He didn't seem phased when I said I would go elsewhere. Incredibly rude. Won't be dealing with 99 bikes again would rather more more elsewhere.

Awesome service and great range of bikes – Friendly staff with a great attitude and fantastic service. Purchased two mountain bikes for my girlfriend and myself and the guys there helped to take the time in choosing the right bikes for us. Perfect customer service and great brake fix – I had an inconsistency in my TRP rear brake, and after a quick phone call to Jack, he diagnosed the problem straight away, and managed to fit me into the workshop that afternoon. Jacks service was super friendly, efficient, and got rid of the air bubble in my brake very very easily and professionally, knowing exactly what he was doing from the start. Great customer service – I had a great experience bringing my TT bike in to the workshop. I called the day before and they said just bring it down and they'd have a look at an issue i had with my gears, no need to book. They were able to look at it and fix it on the day and kept me informed about the issue and explained it when I picked it up. The service from Harry was great. Above and beyond – Dropped my mountain bike in for a long overdue service. The mechanic, Michael went above and beyond to get the old bike up and running again including helping me find parts that are not exactly off the shelf. Workshop great at Keeping my bike trail ready – The 99 bikes workshop has been looking after my touring bike for a few years now and it’s still performing well on bike trips.
