I've been ordering from Adore Beauty for many years and my orders would arrive very quickly by Australia Post in 2 days & the courier can open my gate but they have changed couriers to MyteamGE who take 4 to 5 days to deliver who change the day and time by sending text messages saying their sorry to change day & times & they don't know how to open my gate then they take it to a chemist 20 minutes away which is inconvenient for me & l left my gate open for 2 days because l don't want to go to a chemist to pickup my parcel. And recently in my order l've been receiving samples of something l don't want as like Cerva moisturizer which l normally buy at chemist warehouse on sale as l used to receive new top brand samples of new products. I won't be purchasing again from Adore Beauty anymore as l've found another skincare company who can deliver to Melbourne in 2 days.

The girl on from customer service instead of apologising validated it. She asked when i needed the order(actually besides the point) and i explained asap in the next few days, I am going away and then she said well you still might not have received that order even if it was express by then validating that it may not make a difference and still may not receive it??? Making me feel like i dont understand! I do realise express sometimes means 2 or 3 days but its still quicker than standard!!!!She informed me I would have received confirmation that it had eparcel on the invoice. deliver the parcel by ringing the intercom of leaving outside like Amazon do. I complained and they refused to redeliver.
The pickup location is a 40 minute walk away with no transport connections, I just don't have time for that and I refuse to on principle. I was home, the business is at fault for not even attempting delivery. I am not walking for 40 minutes because they were too lazy to invest 1 minute in ringing an intercom.
I chatted with Dylan at Adore Beauty who was very understanding and apologetic, who arranged a second delivery because apparently they couldn't redeliver the original parcel!
Week 3 (delays): the second parcel..."We couldn't deliver your parcel" - I was fuming at this point even after Dylan specifically instructed them to ring the intercom or leave unattended.
I contacted the courier company and spoke for 20 minutes... what did they do? They resent the original order that had already been returned to Melbourne, back to Brisbane airport and then marked it as delivered in my suburb yet the item location and photograph is literally a warehouse in the airport.
The second parcel that I requested redelivery of... never resent.
End of the day, they have lost a customer. People are happy to pay for a quality service. I will never shop with Adore Beauty again until they switch back to Australia Post.

$3.95 delivery fee if you spend under that (which is low, I know) but the kicker is that now you have to spend at least $30 online or they won't even deliver, even with the $3.95 fee. what’s happening behind the scenes or offering reassurance as a loyal customer, the solution was quickly to offer a refund if I wasn’t happy.
I completely understand that businesses go through transitions and growth phases. Fast delivery standards are hard to sustain at scale. But if processing times have changed, transparency would go a long way. Most beauty retailers take up to a week — that’s fine — as long as expectations are clear.
Right now it feels a little like overwhelm. Whether that’s staffing or operational change, I’m not sure. As a customer, I just value communication and a sense that loyalty still matters.
For now, I’ll be taking a short break and hope things settle — because I genuinely used to love ordering from here.

Love adore beauty for the most part but I wish they didn't allow returns on all their products. Its pretty gross that they resell returned make-up. I've received a few products where it was obviously tested, carefully reboxed and returned, or an item is missing from a 'sealed' boxset. Whatever happened to the 24-hour turnaround they were known for? Delivery has also become a major issue. The delivery options are limited and frustrating - Go People has been consistently unreliable. Parcel Lockers are no longer supported, and when I use my work address, deliveries are attempted outside business hours. Overall, it's just not worth the hassle anymore, which is disappointing given how great this company used to be.

Would have given them a great review if they hadn't increased their free shipping threshold. They also issued me a $20 gift voucher and when I used it (even though I was over the free shipping threshold) they took $3.95 off of that. So the voucher ended up being $16.05.
