What is process for inspecting brakes
Does anybody have the diagram if 13 pin plug for this model caravan? Apparently it’s required by auto electric to fit the right 12 pin plug to car towing it.

Hi I need to check if the 12V supply is reaching the Fridge in the van (with Ignition on in Car) The fridge was working OK but stopped after some tight manuvering so I suspect the 12pin cable my have been stretched and the wire broken internaly. I need a convenient spot to test if the 12V to the fridge is getting inside the Van?

Hi I’ve just purchased an Altea 402 - I’m having difficulty hooking the van to my car. The jockey wheel slips and I’m not very strong due to an injury. I tried to get one fitted that’s easier for me to use. I was told due to the plastic cover it isn’t possible. Any ideas
Plastic cover can be cut to fit an aftermarket jockey wheel.
You could try using a piece of pipe to increase your leverage on the clamp for the existing jockey wheel. Easier and cheaper than replacing it with an aftermarket.

How do you get the battery to charge while driving?
Need to have a 12 pin plug wired to your vehicle, or alternatively if you have an Anderson plug fitted to your vehicle, the 2 wires inside the 12 pin plug that power the charger can be removed and placed into an Anderson plug.
I look to upgrade the battery capacity and wonder which way to go: have a second battery installed with external connection (Anderson plug) for solar blanket / or buy portable battery (eg ecoflow). I received a quote for the installation of the second battery $1200. I could purchase a good quality portable battery for that with more Amps. Feedback on either system in this caravan appreciated. Our front hatch key latch has broken it has pulled right off and hatch is unable ti be opened how can we replace it ?
can someone help me please? when fresh water is connected to inlet, the fresh water gets pumped out of the grey water outlet straightaway. Why would anyone connect fresh water the grey water pipe? the pump wont stop pumping as as long as the fresh water keep coming in.( alot of good water get pumped out for no reason why?)
The wiring in the Adria Altea 402ph is a dogs breakfast, in that wire colour changes for the same connection, there is a messy excess wire /conduit lumped under the bed. A complex relay setup, apparently installed to meet European requirements, which is not necessary here in Australia. No complete electrical wiring diagram exists, yet I have seen Electrical Schematics that are non descriptive for the application. As an owner the manufacturer places us in too much guess work by using non standard practices. I understand the market is largely unregulated but I would expect some support for the product. I am having trouble getting the RML8551 to run on 12v. I have gone to the trouble of direct wiring a 50amp circuit from the vehicle battery to the fridge, I measure the heater element to be 0.83ohm with is correct for a 12V 170W element. After much research I find information on Youtube that states there is a trigger input (D+) that must be supplied 12v but this test didn't produce any results. Don't get me wrong, I love the van and want it is function as intended, but can't find any information or support on how to resolve issues like this. Can anyone offer information to help. For sure, but ensure that the van maintenance is up to speed (wheel bearings, brake pads, towball brake pads, tyres etc). Perhaps carry spare wheel bearings and braking pads as they won't necessarily be readily available everywhere.
Is there somewhere to get a plumbing plan. I have a leak which seems to be only when water from an external hose is connected. I am on a slight angle which means the water/puddle is on the floor in the corner under the sink. There is no obvious leak on any of the visible pipes. Help would be greatly appreciated. I cannot get hot water using gas. I have plenty of water in the tank, the gas is turned on, the external cowling is removed and the rocker switch under the table is on. Running the hot water tap should produce hot water after some time I assume! It doesn't. What am I doing wrong?
A great place to ask is the Facebook site Adria owners Australia and New Zealand. First up tho is the gas vent cover outside removed? Can you bleed the gas through the stovetop if there is an airlock? Otherwise jump on the fb site as there heaps of 402 owners there. I have a 552

Also it's not an instantaneous system, it takes about at least 1/2 hour to heat up.
Jack & Marion...Hi , I have the 402ph. The a/conditioning sleep function has stopped working. When I try to select it via remote, the sensor on wall blips red as if it is receiving signal but won't change from low fan. Has anyone got any ideas please? Have tried Apollo with no success!

I am planning to get a 2021 Adria ALTEA 552PK 6.3m (21ft), own a Volvo XC90 which can tow upto 2400 kgs fitted with 12 pin tow bar, can anyone explain do I need to fit electric brakes in car? is it safe to tow without it?
I understand that the standard brakes fitted are over ride type. Unless the van has undergone an axle change and the fitting of electric brakes, an electric brake controller in the car will just be an ornament. Over ride or over run brakes work on the principle of cable operated braking activated when the tug brakes are applied, which causes the van to move forward on a damper in the tow hitch, which tightens the cable, applying the brakes.
Thanks Ric... the specs of the caravan say it's fitted with AL-KO over-run brake system and AL-KOanti sway coupling, does that mean I dont need an electric brake controller in the car and the caravan braking system would apply the brake when I car brakes are pressed...
The 12v external power outlet is not working. How can this be fixed
Our USB ports in that panel were fried from new. The replacements were fried when they were fitted by the dealer. Ultimately, the entire panel of USB Ports, 12 volt port, antenna etc had to be replaced. It took about a week for the part to be sourced.
Where is the actual water pump? It is not working so am trying to locate it???
If the same as the Altea 552 it is within the water tank. Yup. What clown thought that one up. Do what many of us have done- leave the pump in the tank, cut and splice the lines to a new externally mounted pump.

We've just had to replace our pump ... existing pump was screeching for a while pressure bad then it just stopped. We replaced it but new one had to be repositioned and put inside cupboard under the stove. $750 ... a great team ar RV Palmerston prioritised our job as we were a few days into to a 5 week vacation !

We own a Adria Adora Sport 612. Want to remove front cover plate to expose the hitch. How do I remove it?
If it's the same fibreglass cover that the 552 Altea has, it is glued on with mastic. You need patience, and a sharp blade to cut through the glue. Two people will make it easier- one to hold pressure upards and the other to cut the glue. The boot lid and the panel beneath the sink on the Altea are also glued the same way. Eventually, you can become quite good at it......
