Ongoing issue with my AEG induction hob. Large pan on large element does not hold heat around the sides (I have recently purchased a very expensive pan which is the 3rd pan I have tried). Boils fast on "P" setting to boil water but when backed down to any lower setting it does not bubble around the edges only bubbles (and cooks in the centre). Pans have been checked, new element has been put in and each time we bought the recommended variety of cooking pan but no matter what temp etc it does not bubble on the edges after turning down the temperature from "P". Result is uncooked chicken on outside edge and overcooked chicken in the middle. This is a nightmare after spending so much money on AEG hob and oven. Can anyone help me?

The same was happening to me. Burns in the centre, and simmering around edges. After a service call, blaming everything from the electrical connection to my pots I was so fed up I changed from induction to good ol gas. Lost a lot of money but everything cooks evenly now. I say beware of induction, it’s not that great. The only good thing about it is the easy to clean after.
