Cockroach breeder. Rating: worse than terrible – My wife got one of these donated to her at work . She said the power button would not turn on and she brought it home wanting me to fix it please because she still had some pods left. I opened it and found a family of about one dozen cockroaches happily living in amongst the over engineered plastic nooks and … Read more

crannies. I continued taking it apart for extra screws and threw the rest in the bin. I highly recommend a French press everyone.

Perfect inexpensive machine – The coffee tastes great, and I love the different varieties that Aldi have to choose from, including hot chocolate. I find it easy to clean. We've had ours for a couple of years and it's going strong, eventually if we do need to replace it we would happily buy it again.  Show details

Environmental Impact – Have discontinued product use. Not only are the capsules harmful for the environment but are harmful for human health. Will be choosing a more environmentally friendly option that does not leak plastics BPA, BPS into my coffee when pods are in contact with hot water.  Show details

Best coffee machine – We can’t live without this coffee machine! We love this product. It’s such great value for money. We have had our k-fee expressi machine for 1 year and haven’t had any issues. The Aldi K-fee pods are great tasting, good value for money and come in various strengths. The best feature is that the coffee machine is easy to use, a press of 2 buttons… Read more

and place the pod into the pod shoot and you’ve got a great tasting cup of coffee. We also bought the matching milk frother which heats the milk to the perfect temperature. We would highly recommend this product to our family and friends! Great tasting barista coffee at a affordable price. Very reliable machine. We purchased the limited addition machine and milk frother in blue.

Will do the job but not very durable – Aldi have a terrific customer service policy where you can return items within a reasonable time and have one of the three R's offered without question. In this instance, the Espressi machine comes with a 2 year warranty. My advice is to keep your receipts as you will need them before the 2 years is up. We are up to our 4th machine and counting. … Read more

The machine works efficiently for about the first 6-8 months and then begins to play up. No amount of descaling and cleaning (we use all the recommended products) fix the issues. We have returned it quite a few times over the last few years (first machine purchased back in 2013), thankfully no questions asked, but have now packed the machine away to only be used for large family gatherings. We are a family of big coffee drinkers, the machine having to produce up to 10-12 coffees per day and maybe it can't cope with volume over time. I have gone back to using my Bialetti moka the last year and must say the coffee tastes sooooo much better.

My recommendation is purchase it if you have reasonable expectations and and are not a big coffee drinker.

Very, very nice indeed! – I bought this as a surprise birthday gift for my wife. We had used a similar machine while holidaying and she agreed that although it was "nice" , probably not worth the fuss and expense.: Fair enough, I thought, just thing to get her for her birthday! I used Product Review to research the options and after much deliberation decided to go for… Read more

the Aldi machine. Much cheaper that the majority of others and the general comments on ease of use and longevity won me over. I also paid attention to the capsule consideration and looked into the differences between the Aldi K-fee system caps and the more common Nespresso type. Going by the reviews on here it seemed to me that the Aldi range was the cheapest but also received very favourable taste comments.

The machine is indeed compact and fits into our small kitchen very nicely, thank you. Everything works just as it should. However, if you use any Caffitaly capsules that do fit and do make a nice brew, you will find that they tend to not pop out for release and are fiddly to assist to do so. The Woolies brand is not too bad, the Grinders are little more stubborn, but the Gloria Jeans a real "sticker". I have just found a much easier way (yes, I know, just buy the Aldi brand) and that just takes the slightest smear of Margarine on the flange, then wiped off, to have it happily drop away. Have to say, though, the Aldi brand is so wide ranging it should suit most tastes..

Pre-warming the cup on a cold morning helps the brew.

Oh, yes.. the surprise was very well received.

More than adequate – I have never been a coffee drinker until the last year. After getting tired of the instant stuff at home I wanted a easy way of making more decent coffee. After looking around and considering the options i went with this one as i am not a coffee connoisseur. Being half the price of most of the others on the market and the coffee pods also… Read more

being cheaper (16 to a pack rather than 10 for the same RRP) was definitely attractive to me.

I have had for about 3-4 weeks now and am still happy with the purchase of this and the milk frother accessory.

Simple to use (only has 3 buttons) for either Expresso or Lungo sizes. The build quality also seems fine. Maybe not the prettiest machine or the smallest but I was prepared for that. Just remember to turn off at the wall socket when finished as the standby function seems to not reset. So you have to turn off and on again at the wall switch.

And the coffee is just fine for me. Even tried the Hot Chocolate and that seems quite nice as well.

Will recommend.

Perfect little machine for a busy new mum – Sleek, attractive, fast heating, great range of pods for a fantastic price and exceptional value for money! Only negatives are the water compartment is tiny so needs regular refilling, you have to run a clean water funtion each use which is time consuming, and the unit is long sonot great for shallow bench top. All in all, very happy formy basic needsas a new mum! Show details

Great little machine – Bought this as a stop gap when our expensive machine broke, boy what a great little machine for the price. We use it at home and also because of its compact size it’s been all around Australia in our caravan. Easy to clean and use. Only problem is I can’t always get the Chai Latte pods which are my favourite. Our friends are always happy to get a cup of coffee and we have different strengths as well as decaff pods always on hand. Show details

Wouldn’t buy another – This machine was a gift from my husband. It looks great and It works ok but luckily I have my coffee black as it doesn’t come out really hot. Must do a quick clean before every cup otherwise you can’t make a coffee and have to remember to remove previous pod used first. We have an issue with water filling up in the capsule collection container… Read more

which then flows to the drip tray and overflows all over the bench. This happens regularly and it is a pain to take out the container and carry the it across to the sink to empty while full with water (and pods). Have never had this with previous machines. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? Plenty of coffee choices but some are limited edition only. Wouldn’t purchase again because I’m sick of water leaking all over bench.

Disappointing – Bought this machine after seeing Irish Cream coffee pods in Aldi. disappointed it hasn't lived up to my two previous machines (not Aldi) never had a hot cup of coffee yet and seems to go from slightly warm to warm and even on the full cup setting it's not enough to fill a mug and then you have yo take the bottom out, cleaning is a nightmare. haven't found any of Aldi's coffee I like, all taste terrible so after they discontinued white hot choc, caramel and irish creme I haven't used my machine so will go back to a Nespresso

Works well horrible to use – Nice and compact this was a limited addition model not boxy like the normal one. Works well and makes a nice coffee every time. The coffee pod selection and quality is excellent with the best price compared to other machines. The Pods are always stocked well at Aldie. Easy to fill with water and easy to clean. The downside is the pods sometimes… Read more

get stuck and you must belt the crap out of the leaver on top to get them to release and fall into the waste tray. Often have to put my fingers down and push the pod off the spikes. 2 year on still working fine.

Coffee in a blink! – I’m loving my new coffee machine, it’s so simple to use my 9 year old does it with ease. Even better when paired up with my new milk frother also from Aldi, both were reasonably priced and produce great hot coffee every time in minutes with very little fuss and a minimum of mess to clean up at the end. Show details

Great new purchase ! – We purchased a new Aldi Expressi capsule machine last week as our old one finally stopped working after many many years. This new machine is much quieter and turns off automatically. So pleased that we made this purchase. The coffee is HOT too which is very important to us. The machines are only $79.99 which is way cheaper than a lot of brands on the market. The capsules are $5.99 for a 16 pack and come in different strengths. Show details

Cheap machine but the cost of pods is going to bite – I’m pretty sure Aldi is giving you the machine at cost because they know your going to be pretty much hooked into not only buying the pods but also visiting the store to buy something else....ingenious huh! The coffee is hot and tastes alright but my wife and I have both experienced headaches from using the pods while regulator Expresso machines… Read more

coffee is no problem. We bought this for our caravan but the issue we have found is if you run out of pods and there is no Aldi store around your stuffed. So after 12 months we have retired the Aldi Expressi and bought a Expresso machine for the caravan that uses regular ground coffee. $8 250gram bag of coffee gives you about 30 to 40 coffees where as pods give you 16 cups for $6 with a lot of waste.

Still working and great coffee – My misses’s loves this machine, her dad came over from Russia and he’s the fussiest man I ever met and he loves his coffee, we visited many places in Victoria and NSW and stopped at many cafes, however he said the best coffee was from the expresso machine at home. We use the Milano pods. Really good coffee and cheap. Show details

Excellent daily use – Bought this Aldi Expressi Machine one year ago, and have been using it every day. Very easy to use and the coffee quality is superb! Also - to maintain the functionality of this product, I would highly recommend buying the cleaning products that Aldi sell in store. My rating: 4/5 :)  Show details

Great! Great! – Brought this machine recently and love it. I find it very easy to use and the coffee tastes great. It comes with a milk frother containing 2 settings. Awesome Coffee Machine – I have had the Aldi coffee machine for 3 years and couldn't be happier. I used to have the DeLonghi Nespresso Machine, but had lots of problems and the pods were too expensive. The range of Aldi coffee pods are amazing and taste so smooth. I look forward to my first cuppa every morning - can't beat the taste or value.  Show details

Great Machine - No Issues – Makes coffee with pods and has a frother. It looks nice, is easy to clean and is pretty quiet. The only thing annoying is the little thing that goes in the bottom of the frother can be lost so easily but thats the only thing I can complain about. Can use Gloria Jeans and Lavazza capsules.  Show details

Instant coffee takes a back seat – I was given the Aldi coffee machine, milk frother and 6 boxes of coffee pods to try as a house warming gift. Best money I've spent – Not at all expensive, and the coffee capsules are really well priced as well. Terrific variety of strengths of coffee, mine being the number 12. How good is this thing!! – Had it 6 months, made 4 coffees per day on average and never missed a beat. Water tank and bin compartments easy to remove and fill / empty. Easy to clean overall. The pods are cheap, lots of flavors and the strength reasons are quite accurate - the taste is excellent. We must have saved hundreds in not buying full price cafe coffees. Highly recommend.  Show details

Cheap and cheerful – By far the simplest of the pod style machines to operate and still allows choices for shot size. Pods are affordable and a good range of flavours with a good decaf option too- the best decaf we’ve come across so far. the downside is the pods aren’t recyclable! Machine did leak if filled but not used, can be loud if rinsed incorrectly (with a pod in) but produces quality hot coffee at home for a decent price.  Show details
