Our spool cover for the Gardenline Line Trimmer ST1610 is falling apart. At the official supplier Service Action Spares they are telling me that I can't expect a replacement before Christmas! Is there another place where I can order this part?
Hi, sorry not familiar with the 20v as mine is the 36V (2x20v). I replaced my spool (head) with an ebay head for $18.69. Advertised under "Alloy Trimmer Head Fits Aldi Garden Line Trimmer Bushcutter 49290 WLBCF310". Contact the mob (protool-australia) and ask them if they have a head to fit your cutter BUT make sure you can get the bolt required to install it as they are very hard to get. Best head as it doesn't snap, tangle or get jambed on the spool. I can also use 3mm or thicker cord which lasts soooo much longer. I was lucky as I still had the packaging and extras from when I bought the trimmer so was able to fit the new head without trying to find the lefthand thread bolt to fit it. I hope this is of help to you. The "big" suppliers won't be of much assistance and if they are they charge an arm and a leg for it.
I have the Aldi 20v garden line trimmer. I am trying to remove the head because I want to replace it with one of those circle wire brush cutter heads on eBay and Temu.... can't figure out how to get tool in where I need it to get the nut off the axle. Does anyone know where the motor lock hole is found?
They are pressed on the motor shaft. I had to replace the motor with a 755 with threaded shaft. The shaft is only 5mm in diameter and i am yet to find a umiversal head that would fit.

My gardenline 20v snipper is wearing out at the point of the tap to feed line. Spring is visible and may protrude . Can any spool replacement be obtained? 5 year warranty not expired.
Ebay has a brilliant head using an allen key to secure the 1 or 2 cord peices you choose to use. ONLY glitch is you need to have a left hand thread bolt to fit the new head with, which in most cases came with the original purchase. I can use 3mm+ cord which lasts the whole yard :-)
I melted plastic over the bump knobs and hand pull line out as required. The spring is held in place by the mend. So far so good. Thanks
The spool lugs on my Gardenline NOE-22ET-230 broke when I hit a stone. Where do I get a replacement part for it?
Can you remove the parts back to the bare axle? If you can figure that out, look on eBay, but look at those circle wire brush alternative heads.
Thank you for your reply but I have since disposed of the device, replacing it with a Ryobi equivalent. With Ryobi, the parts are readily available but it does mean another natter system, unfortunately.
