5 1/2 months wait time for a couple of 2 seater sofas! – Purchased and paid in full 2 X 2 seater lounges on Aug 1st 2024, given 11-12 weeks expected delivery. In comparison, the Amart lounge is only five years old and is already fit for the bin. “Premium leather” it certainly is not.

Two weeks after Amart inspected the lounge, I received an email rejecting my warranty claim. They stated that their “Quality Guarantee” does not cover damage caused by “excessive or irregular use, neglect, abuse, assembly, placement, storage, care or maintenance.” Apparently, in their view, simply coming home and sitting on the lounge qualifies as irregular use or abuse.

Perhaps Amart should update their terms and conditions to clearly state: "Using the lounge voids the warranty."

customer service review – My 84 year old mum had to return two recliners. From start to finish, the Customer Service was outstanding. Nothing was to much trouble and they were very upfront with everything. With the delivery, assembly of product, they always called to inform mum about the times and if they were running a bit late. Totally Ripped Off over for almost $6000 – I purchased a lounge for almost $6000 only 4 years ago. 1 spot. The salesperson in the store told me to wipe the lounge with a damp warm cloth and apparently, that is incorrect as well. I am extremely disappointed as $6000 is a huge amount to spend on a lounge and not have a real warranty and real service. I will never purchase from them again.

Don't buy from anything from Amart – Trying to buy a coffee table should be a pleasurable experience. But, don't use Amart is you want to be happy. They use sketchy techniques and misleading information to sell you goods. The delivery agent is unacceptable. The prices are not good value. It took 2 months to get a refund for a coffee table that wasn't even delivered.

entitled to one if the product is faulty. To try and get some money back so we can buy a new mattress we said we’d take the lesser refund after months of emailing and live chatting but they will only send the refund via cheque (which isn’t an option for us - we’re moving) or we have to go to their store which would be breaking the 10km COVID rule as it’s the Auburn store, plus Auburn is in one of the LGA’s in hard lockdown, so they’re also asking us to break COVID rules to get our money back. We paid for the mattress by card over the phone too so they’re not even allowing us to get our money back the way we originally paid for the item, again what the ACCC says we should be able to do. I’m going to be making a formal complaint and I will be posting this review everywhere I can because after months of this crap I’ve had enough. The mattress problem is affecting my sleep, and as someone who has a severe chronic illness and arthritis having a supportive mattress that I can actually fall sleep on is very important for my health.

clarify costumer’s inquiry, on a top of that very arrogant and rude costumer attendants. I have put all my sining chairs on floor and send them a photos of broken chair with the email but without reading my mail they said they that I can not even claim my warranty for some reason. When I contacted over the phone I waited more than 20 minutes only to connect and whey they connect me over the phone they hang up without even listening to me. I would have given 0 star review if it is possible. The company need to fire those costumer attendants. Very poor costumer service skill.

Consumer can only inform this idiot when damage would occur. How is it possible to inform anything until damages occur? Never ever recommended. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING AS AMART FURNITURE IS A SCAMMER.

Xmas time delivery can be done on 2nd January we agreed that too. On 2nd January received a message from the delivery boys stated between 12-47 to 14-47 they going to deliver our orders. We were excited and waiting for it and another message received time change only between 3-5, so whole day we waited for this delivery..

Here comes the disaster. 2 delivery people came with the recliner pack rolled on the floor up to the stairs. we opened the door and waited at the entrance. one person started saying that we can’t deliver the 3seater sofa because stairs are small. We tried to explain we had 3 seater sofas before which were delivered through this same stairs and same door and also got rid off them through the same place. He started giving us a big lecture “ I have been doing this job for 5years. You don’t tell me what to do “ He came with such an attitude problem and was extremely arrogant and abusive. He also had the audacity to ask us to pick up the sofas from downstairs and take it home. Guess learning manners and courtesy were not a part of his job or his life.

Now as agreed with the sales asst at AMart, the deal was to deliver the couches at our place. They didn’t even off load the 3seater from the truck since they had already decided they can’t deliver it to our place. And they decided this without even taking a look at the stairs or taking measurements of any kind. And they also decided to take the order back.

So i called the Amart customer care. The lady told me “oh you have to speak to transport people.”

I refused and I told her I have nothing to do with them it’s your responsibility to deliver my things at my place. I paid $3697.95 to Amart including delivery charge. Finally she agreed to call them and called me back . She asked “why didn’t you measure your stairs before buying the sofa?Your stairs are narrow so they can’t deliver it..”

My first question to her is did any of the delivery boys measure the stairs? I’m sure Australia has some policy on how to build stairs and has regulations that everyone has to follow. So that means that Amart people are challenging the policy and procedures of the authorities and building commissions in Australia who really know what they doing.

2) I don’t think I need advise from Amart customer care what type of sofa I should buy for my house because she should know if people like the things, they buy it. I’m sure she is not doing very well at her job considering consumer behaviour is clearly not her strong suit.

3) if people live on 1st floor can’t they have a sofa that they like ? It is your inability, incompetence, ineffective and unskilled, people who have bad attitudes who couldn’t complete their jobs.

I wish I could tell you this ordeal ended here, but obviously not. Then we asked for our refund and the same lady told we have to wait 3days to get our refund. Asked why we should wait that long since we didn’t receive any delivery. She stated they have to check the warehouse it means neither she trusted us nor she trusted those boys. We told her we waited whole day so we can come take our refund because we are working. After 5days received a call stating you can come and take your refund from the same outlet. So we went there waited for 40 minutes because they couldn’t refund the amount in one go they had to split into 4 entries. I wonder such a big store couldn’t refund the money in one go what a pathetic experience?! They took money in one go from us!! And it took another week for the money to finally be credited in our account.

So after being ill treated and being disrespected and 3 weeks of drama we still have no sofas.

My final question is, isn’t it Amart’s responsibility when they sell furnitures they also look after their customers??

What a nightmare!!! Avoid Amart – Purchased a nixon sofa chaise...got msg from delivery team saying my delivery will be there by 1 pm..i changed my shift from morning to evening. The delivery came at 5:30 pm..ended up not going to work ..a loss of $200 at first place...
