So we spent thousands of $ last year buying a lounge and 8 dining chairs. By December 2025 some of the electronics had failed in the lounge. I contacted the Amart warranty on line and by phone then e-mail after e-mail. The promises broken to repair were continuous and non committing. Slightly disappointed – Having ordered online, with lots of communication. I picked up my chairs and table yesterday. I paid over $5,000 for a king size Chanelle bedroom suite in black .with an extra toyboy . Plus a $4,000 mattress. They offered me a store credit of just over $200 yes $200 . They also wanted me to waive the 10year warranty on the structure. Yep the 10 year warranty will be canceled if I except their amazing offer of store credit. I never once asked for change of mind but they emailed me another response saying that change of mind was only for 30 days so a return is no longer valid . I wanted it replaced with one that has been painted probably, not a change of mind . I also said they could pick the one I have when the other is delivered . Nope not going to do . So they offered me $650 STORE credit and 10 year warranty is cancelled. Omg … i suppose I could just go around with paint pen and hide the white .so to stop the stress I put to them 50% direct to my bank refund and I will keep it .And waive warranty. Another email saying change of mind was only for 30days .i haven’t changed my money and I love this suite I just wanted the beautiful black I was shown in the store . I was willing to wait another 12-16 weeks . Then after always saying bedroom suite they send email saying only the bed frame is covered under the warranty as that’s all I reported and I would have to put forms in for each part of the bedroom suite . Also since I have already put one in on the bed I can’t claim if something breaks in the 10 year warranty term . I am 60 years of age and live alone , I don’t have kids damaging it nor do I have wild hanky panky on it . Amart has been brought buy an investment company that also has its own legal firm who is trying to take advantage of me .Also lie about what I wrote in my emails . What company wants to void your 10year manufacturing warranty if you except ther store credit . I must state the staff and management at Amart Warana have been nothing but nice and professional to me . It as actually them who advised me to email customer service even gave me the contact details. They also are trying to say I must be cleaning it with harsh chemicals. I’ve been a cleaner for 20 years i would never do that . All I do is wipe it over with a dry microfiber cloth .Now I feel like I’ve been take advantage of and they have scammed me out of a lot of hard earned money . Purchased a COPELAND King Single bed for my daughter and the quality is crap, I purchased a bed for my son at Fantastic furniture on the same day and it’s better quality. The bed had damage when unpacking and after putting it together is very flimsy, even when the bed is tightened the bed head has movement. As our local store is 150kms away trying to take it back is very hard. I do not recommend buying this bed from Amart. Show details

the guy at the store kept telling me next week, next week.... They then were telling me that it was at another store and had to wait for the truck to deliver it to the Capalaba store. However, it kept been delayed because it wasn't on the truck that it was meant to be on. Finally, after 11 weeks I went to the store today picked it up, got it home. IT DOESN'T MATCH!!! I will never shop there again or recommend Amart to any family or friend.

driver just 30 minutes after he left, but he stopped answering - despite being very quick to respond during delivery. Because we’ve just moved house and had already sold our old mattress, we’ve had to sleep on a blow-up mattress this entire time. After many, many phone calls (all initiated by us), we were told the correct mattress would be delivered 10 days later. Every time we called, we spoke to someone different, and the service was consistently terrible. In the end, the mattress is now being delivered 17 days later. This has been the worst customer experience I’ve ever had.

and was told to send an email which she did. Nothing was heard from AMart until I started to demand answered on the Phone on 5/12. I talked to a lady named Naomi. She said she would have the setting replaced and that she would organise someone to deliver the new one, unpack it and take the defective one along with the packing early the following week. She said that this could be done as the setting was in stock and that there would be no problem with that. Today I received a call from a lady named Natasha, telling me that they won’t have stock until Friday 11/12 at the earliest and that it could be longer. Frustrated I asked for a full refund and for them to come and collect their defective setting. After putting me on hold for 25 min, she tells me that they can’t pick up the defective setting until next Tuesday and could not give me any time frame for that day. I have to wait til they pick it up before we get a refund. Communicating was very poor with AMart. Will not buy from them again and would steer anybody else away from shopping there. My next stop is to consultation as it will be nearly 3 weeks we have had to put up with not being able to use our outdoor area.

total inc GST up to $1578 At this point I want to pause my complaint and give a shoutout to [Name Removed] who actually sold us the chair on the floor. She was exceptional, friendly and extremely helpful.

The date of delivery comes and the driver calls me to confirm his is on the way. The next call I receive is from my father - telling me that the chair has just been dumped in its box at reception. So I called the driver from the number earlier - surprise surprise, no response.

Called the Oxley store and asked to speak with a manager. I gave him my sales order number, and he confirmed that he could see the extra set up and rubbish removal line item on the receipt. He puts me on hold, only to come back with the following reply: "Apparently the driver was told by dispatch that it was a simple item drop off." ...... .........silence. Yep, that was literally how the manager left the sentence. No sorry. No proposed solution.

So let's see if my math is mathing:

• He could see that the receipt indeed shows an additional amount was charged as a separate line item & service on the docket. & • He has an upset customer on the phone complaining that the job wasn't done correctly...

So, you mean to tell me he thinks its an adequate response to simply tell me: "Sorry, but someone from our depot told him not to" and then just LEAVE IT AT THAT!?! As though expecting me tojust shrug my shoulders and say: "Oh well, I guess it can't be helped!" at that'd be the end of it.

So I get a little cranky with him now too. "I don't care what your depot told the driver, that's not what I paid for, it wasn't the correct information and I want it fixed!"

At this stage of the call, the guy starts sounding more like a manager...apologising, and telling me that he will put me on hold again while he tries to do something about the matter. However, when he comes back - there's still no promise that the matter will be resolved today. Just the good old "I'll do my best".

I told the manager that I will hold off on posting this review until a tangible result has been delivered.

Fast forward about an hour, and someone from the customer solution centre leaves me a voicemail telling me that they can book me in for my fathers chair setup on FRIDAY (it's Wednesday at the time of writing this).

So here I am posting this review - regardless if they fix the issue today or not.

I still want [Name Removed] to be recognised as the ONLY good part of my interaction with Amart Furniture, which is sad because she's probably paid the least of everyone else working for this faeces-run business.

was supposed to phone me 15 business days ago and I'm still waiting. No phone call, no apology, no refund. Lodged complaint with Office of Fair Trading for the refund. Will never set foot in any Amart store again because they can't be trusted.

that I purchased with the lounge. I rang Amart, they sent the leather doctor out who of course went back to Amart and said I'm not cleaning the lounge as I'm not using the leathercare system, therefore it's not the product, it's my fault the leather is peeling. The leather doctor is who is contracted by Amart to deal with all of their issuesup here in Cairns so of course, he wants the work, hs going to fo the right thing by Amart! I've never known genuine leather to peel! Amart would do nothing for me other than reimburse me a very small "goodwill" payment, and that was only after going to consumer affairs. Amart stipulated that since I wasn't using the leather care system to clean the lounge on a regular basis, that is is not their issue. If you google the Leather care system amart sell,you will find it is not actually to be used as a cleaner, only to be used if something is spilt or on a stain . So Amart are misleading consumers in saying the leather care system is a cleaning system, which should be used regularly, that was stated in the response from Amart, which is in fact incorrect. My lounge has not only peeled, it has big splits where it was peeling and is an absolute embarrassment. I have throws over my lounge to cover this as I'm not prepared to go and buy another lounge at the moment. In my opinion, Amarts leather lounges are ridiculously poor quality and Amart rip consumers off knowing the leather is poor quality. I have found many reviews of people having exactly the same issues, and Amart say it's not their product at fault??? Never again will I ever spend money at Amart. I'm hugely disappointed with Amart, their product, their service, and they way they handled this issue! The Leather Doctor and Amart in Cairns, both should be ashamed of themselves!

We decide we may aswell pick up the one chair since it's there, the staff completely deflect the deficiencies in customer communication and basically say well too bad, I guess it's the customers problem amart can't provide items that have been paid for in the time frame provided. When we go to the dock to pick up the chair the box is clearly damaged.

He told me that they would contact us for repair and we kept waiting for months for it to happen..so when they didn't turn up after a long time and no calls or emails, we contacted them to arrange it ourselves and they suggested that they have already closed the complaint as they called us twice; which is untrue as we didn't get any calls or emails from them. If we were not reachable by call..atleast they should have left us a message or email stating the same. They did not even bother to inform us about closing the complaint. Also, they should have repaired the sofa in the 1st place and no behave in an unprofessional manner. I highly recommend to avoid Amart products and their leather protection.. I myself have so may products from amart but I would never purchase anything from them anymore.

Poor Customer Service on shoddy product – Purchased a SHADOWZ outdoor setting for $2800 with a 5 year guarantee. After 14 months it began to rot from the inside and split. Refused to honour guarantee and offered $500. Fair Trading said they couldn't help because Amart had made an offer. Poor service. Poor outcome and no help from Fair Trading. Poor quality furniture. Never again will we buy Amart.

of sofa with baby wipe and said: ok I will let them know what happened. After his visit they send me email stating that warranty was declined because of residue accumulation that led to the damage. It peels even at the bottom part of recliner which is not used and no contact with skin. The quality is subpar, and the lack of support is frustrating. We also wasted money on their SMARTCARE leather products, and it's absolute waste of money, they don't work!

arrange collection, [Name Removed] responded in an incredibly dismissive manner, stating, "I am 50 years old and will not be trying to get this down." She then continued with, "The only other staff member I have is a man in a wheelchair with no legs, do you want me to get him to climb up and get it?" I find this not only disrespectful but also discriminatory, and I feel for the employee who has to work under a manager who would refer to him in such a manner. This behavior is unacceptable, and I will be contacting head office tomorrow to request a full refund. I would rather pay double the price elsewhere, like Harvey Norman, where customers are treated with dignity and respect.
