the paper receipt from the store. Once the driver called my mobile two days later on a Friday morning to deliver them to our rental apartment, the dining suite arrived in carton package unassembled. Being in my middle age early 50s, I was able to assemble the table and chairs without a problem using two tools - the allen keys and phillips screw driver. Patience is needed for the chairs as the white curved backrest part takes time to angle it in the right position because the screws seem short and may require some strength to hold and press the backrest part in place.

I waited for Amart to respond to the 1st claim but heard nothing. So, I called the claims department service number and was told to lodge another claim. Again they sent the same technician to assess the fault. He did and gave them a 2nd report stating that one side of backrest is dragging on the armrest making intolerable noise and is also pushing the headrest out. this fault can not be rectified as frame screwed in wrong position and can not be straightened. Amart ignored the problem and again closed the claim without discussing it with me. When questioned they lied stating that the technitian found the crooked frame to be acceptable and they refused to replace the faulty lounge recliner. Acceptable to whom ? Not to me ! I am not happy with the quality or estethics of the chair. I want it replaced with what I paid for not a defective product.
I must add the chair has not been used since it was purchased. I found Amart to be dishonest, ignorant and greedy. I will never buy anything from the crooks again. I am now looking into commencing legal action for the fraudulent conduct. Why fraudulent you will ask. Because they advertised the Cassius recliner as a top quality product and charge for top grade product. But, what they deliver is a hip of inferior crap.

Sagging collapsed seating may I add only my two small children use these couches regularly. Material pulled and pilling ( is thick denim like material) does not clean up well.. water stains it! Water?! When dry cleaned, sides started to sag off frame!

couches have been a problem with a lot of people who have purchased them and recommended that I don’t swap them for another suit the same.
He made it very clear to me that these couches were faulty.
When i called amart to discuss what can be done and if I could at least swap them for something else, they said that it wasn’t a manufacturer problem when clearly I was told they were from the technician.
I asked to speak to a manager that can help me, but the women I spoke to refused and said that there is no one higher then her and threatened if I put her name on this review that it becomes a legal problem.
I explained again and again that I have 5 year guarantee on them and why you weren’t honouring it, and she couldn’t even reply.
I am disgusted with the treatment I got and wouldn’t recommend anyone to shop there and ive told all the communities I look after to keep away and made it clear to her on the phone and she didn’t care a bit.
Amart is a bully and thinks it can get away with it and judging by most of the reviews I’ve seen, they have done it multiple times to Many people and needs to be stopped.

your regular customers who are already coming back time and again. Considering how the retail sector is at the moment and customers not being around as much you would think that companies would try to retain their regular long standing customers rather than alienate them. For the cost of sending a leather repair person to clean and put a coating over ONE leather seat. It isn't like I'm asking for a whole new couch. Just so stupid to lose a customer over this but this is what will happen if they do not help. We have never claimed anything prior to this joint claim on 2 issues with the leather chaise lounge. They have fixed 1 issue of the foam dropping in the chaise so when you sat on it you could feel the wood frame underneath. But to not approve of the peeling leather is just silly on their part. So far we have purchased from Amart:
1x 3 seater fabric sofa bed lounge & matching footstool & cushions 1 x 2 seater & 1 x 3 seater bi-cast leather lounge & matching footstool & cushions 8 x white dining chairs 1 x leather chaise lounge with 6 cushions - this is the one we are having issues with 14 x metal dining chairs
Why is 1 seat only on 1 sectional portion of the couch damaged by us apparently either cleaning it or not cleaning it when we have been using the same product (water and a damp cloth) across the whole couch (top/backrest/arms/seats/base). It's not happening on any other section of the couch at all but according to Amart me either having cleaned it or not having cleaned it or the oils from our body have broken down the leather. Again..... why if this is the case is it only on one seat...... Has to be manufacturing.

spill a bit of milk use fabric smart care and now my lounge is chemically stained. You can see where each spill has occurred as my lounge looks disgusting! Make a claim via the email provided by the store and told 24 to 48hours for review, 3 days later call for an update told to wait up to 5 business days. Call on the 6th day now claim has been closed and redirected to online smart care warranties link to re submit claim. finally hardly walk behind one rep and ordered 4 items more than $1000 after he put orders in ipad and he went to talk and doing demo in bedding area. We came to counter - only 2 staff was there one female were serving financing customer other male one served one customer second I was standing. Amart and spoke to the salesperson who stated there were none in stock however they would be getting a delivery that week and it could be delivered the next week, before it was required. (If not I could get a refund on the deposit. That didn't make much sense!!) The bed arrived, a week and a half after I needed it but at least I had a bed for next time. Then I went to put it together. It wasn't inexpensive... it was cheap. One female screw holder for the leg was in the shape of a half moon so needed to be bent into a circle. The other leg didn't fit at all and the female screw holder fell into the bedhead so it's now been attached with construction glue. The slats are made of a composite soft wood which peels as you attach the holder and there was a small tear in the material, luckily it's not in an area that can be seen so that was also glued. Now I need to purchase some planks to reinforce the slats.
I wish I'd checked Product Review prior to buying it. I normally do but was in a hurry. Won't be shopping there again.
