had commenced call back in 3 days. Done that and had to send a stat dec with their "specific" wording for a refund. I was told I would get a refund but that person could not authorise a refund of high value, I was then told a manager would need to do the refund due the value. That person in an email threatened me with loss of account privileges or account closure and refused a refund. Started their procedure all over again and back to the same result a second time. I did get another email saying I would get a refund but no refund. I then went to my bank for chargeback, ME Bank, 3 months later amazon claim ME bank took the money back off them but I did not receive the money back in my account until 24th of June 2024.

The "no shedding" claim is false. I spent two hours cleaning up shag debris.The lights are too heavy for the narrow rim, and the adhesive failed completely. Either the delivery drivers are too lazy to put the parcel into the clearly labelled parcel box next to the front door or it is dropped with a thud onto the concrete as I heard today. I'm really disappointed. Falling for the seller's lie that the product was fresh. The pistachios were very stale and had a putrid smell. And Amazon is protecting the seller of the stale product by asking me to change my negative review about the stale product. I also notice that Amazon only gives you a chance to review delivery if the delivery arrives on time. They don't allow you otherwise. So please beware how scammy and unreliable Amazon is!

Beware..I was mindlessly buying on Amazon Australia assuming they were the cheaper. Not so..add the shipping and the way their prices fluctuate, they are often far more expensive than buying locally. In addition if you have a problem there is NO customer service or contact. NONE..be selective..just a friendly warning!!

- "Can we send your parcel in its original manufacturers packaging, rather than packing it inside an Amazon Cardboard Box" I have told them NO. The Feedback I sent to Amazon AU's Despatch dept was - You sent me the wrong product, the actual manufactures package was incorrectly labeled/bar-coded, and it was packed in an Amazon outer cardboard Box. I had to return the parcel to my local Post Office and wait for a replacement. The replacement package, was shipped to me in the original manufacturers carton, NO Amazon outer Cardboard Carton. The Manufacturers packaging, had simple cardboard locking tabs at each end, no sticky tape to hold the tabs closed. Amazon despatch, simply stuck a delivery Label on the manufacturers box, they did not even bother use sticky tape to stop the package flaps from opening in transit. The box was Obviously damaged in transit, and carrier did the right thing, by taping up one end, but by the time I received the parcel, the other end was open. I believe that Amazon are taking the "Can we send the parcel in its original packaging, rather than packing it inside an Amazon Box" too far. Your Packing Staff are obviously incapable of making the determination themselves. I am fed up of receiving my Dog's bag of Chicken Breasts inits original manufacturers plastic packing, despatched to me with just an Amazon delivery label stuck on the bag, leaving what is essentially Freeze Dried FOOD that is exposed to extreme heat/cold during its travels through different depots via road transport. The original manufacturer sends the FOOD to Amazon in sealed cartons. NOT Good Enough Amazon Australia.

help to quickly get an idea of how a product performs and there seems to be a decent number of discounts on products.
The only problems I have with Amazon is that there are probably *too many* products on their website. If I'm looking for a laptop stand I don't really want to go through 40 products, several of which seem to be quite similar/knock offs of other ones that. Additionally, many deliveries I get from Amazon are just left at the front door. Thankfully the drivers don't seem to throw the product on the patio (although I have seen and heard of other stories of people living elsewhere in Australia where drivers just throw the packages on the ground) but for some reason they won't ring the bell even when it's literally right above where they leave the product. If someone is delivering a product to my house I'm happy to be disturbed by them!
Overall good, but needs work (especially with overworking and underpaying warehouse staff).
I very regularly shop on Amazon Australia but recently had to move home and with things being chaotic I have been buying from the marketplace much more frequently and Amazon have been delivering my orders very quickly regardless. Absolute trash! Product purchased was badly broken upon delivery. Quality is cheap and super nasty! Cost to return the product back to China for a refund was over $30. So, basically I purchased a product that was delivered half way around the world for it to be thrown straight into the bin.

hours, even though I sent a message in the app stating this. Eventually one day they came before 5:00pm on a weekday. What a miracle.
In late May 2026 I ordered something which was coming from Europe. There was tracking all the while it was over there, then total silence for a couple of weeks. Then came the notifications they'd be delivering on a given day. Never happened. Sorry there's been a delay. Should be delivered by the 18th. Never happened. They even offered a refund. I tapped on that button, just to see what it was all about, then backed out of it without changing anything, meaning I was not looking to get a refund at that point. The next day, the money was back in my account. They issued a refund even though I hadn't actually asked for it, and they didn't say they were going to.
I don't know what's happening with Amazon Australia lately but it's shambolic. In future, if I need something and it can't be found elsewhere, I think I'll just have to go without.

costs to have the items sent to me because I changed my mind?????. And to add more insult Amazon claims that the items that were sent to me were correct and my refund would now be canceled. So now I have lost my orignal purchase costs plus the return postage because some scum tyred to scam me with a substituted very low cost item.
