My Ariston MWA25B, purchased in 2020, is great in every way: except that it often refuses to work during the night! Is this a common problem, or do I just have a dud?
Hi Merryl, Thanks for contacting us and we are glad to hear you enjoy your microwave, this sounds like it could be a dud or unless there is something tripping the microwave. You can call our 1300 762 219 number and speak to our warranties/ technical team to try see if there is a solution to this problem.
Regards
Callum
Thanks for that, Callum, I'll do that.

I've tried Harvey Norman and Good Guys to purchase on-line MWA25B though they are out of stock. Where else could I buy this microwave?
Hi Stella, This microwave is a discontinued model. For an equivalent microwave with a similar look and features, we recommend the Whirlpool models MWC25BK or MWCF25BK. external link external link Regards
Is this microwave 800w or 1750w?
Hi Susiekew, The total absorbed power the microwave draws is 1750W. The maximum power the microwave mode uses is 800W. Regards
Our MWA25B seems to be dying on us :( we had to swap the 1st one in we purchased as it was faulty, as far as microwaves go this model just doesn't seem to be able to last the time. Its now making a very loud noise, seems to have an electrical smell and cuts of after about 14 seconds. We are very sad as it is used daily and overall has great features. This was quite an investment for us as it was more expensive than regular microwaves. In today's times we will likely have to replace with a cheaper option.
Hi Toria, If there is a noise and an electrical smell coming from the microwave, then for safety reasons please do not use the microwave until it has been checked. It is difficult to determine the issue without seeing the microwave. It would be best to give Arisit Technical Support a call on 1300 762 219 to see if a technician can figure out what the problem is. Regards
Is this microwave brand discontinued?
Not sure - refer to this Australian link for Ariston. I note below that a Ariston rep often answers a lot of questions & may be able to assist as well - external link
Hi Anna, These Ariston microwaves have been discontinued, but there still may be some around in stores. If you are after a freestanding microwave-grill, Whirlpool has a range of microwaves that are very similar to the Ariston ones. external link Regards
Where can I buy this please? Unable to find it. Harvey Norman does 23B
Hi Karen, This model is discontinued so it may be difficult to find in stores. However, Whirlpool has a range of counter-top microwaves that you may want to consider. external link Regards
Where is this microwave manufactured?
Hi Liz, This microwave is manufactured in China. Regards
That is a deal-breaker just in itself. China is our enemy, as it has made painfully clear.
How does the self-clean function work? I'm worried about grease splatter on the element.
Hi Munna, This automatic cleaning cycle will help you to to clean the microwave oven cavity and to remove unpleas-ant odors. BEFORE STARTING THE CYCLE: 1. Put 235ml water into a container (see our recommendations in the below section). 2. Place the container directly on the middle of Glass Turntable. TO START THE CYCLE: 3. Press the Auto Clean button, the cleaning cycle duration will be visible on the display. 4. Press the Jet Start button to start the function. WHEN THE CYCLET IS FINISHED,a beep will signal once every 10 seconds for 10 minutes when the cleaning cycle is finished. 5. Press the Stop button or open the door to cancel the signal.
Hope this helps.
Regards, 6. Remove the container. 7. Use a soft cloth or a paper towel with mild detergent to clean the interior surfaces.
Hi there After reading all the great reviews, I decided to buy one.... guess what ? after contacting the company , they informed me they dont make them anymore. Obviously if they make somthing too good, they stop making them in case they last to long ??? Could you please enlighten me ? Regards
Check at Harvey Norman as they may have some.

Thanks all, have already checked at Harvey Norman, Bing Lee, Retra Vision, Good Guys etc. etc. , contacted Ariston direct who informed me they have ceased manufacturing of that model. cheers SW
I am thinking of buying this product, is it suitable to fit into where i have my old Microwave, it is a like a microwave alcove or opening in my Kitchen, enclosed to fit microwave with powerpoint at back.
Yeh, that’s where we have ours in a recess for a microwave & I have a vent opening at the back that goes in the ceiling for ventilation.
mine does not have a vent, but with size i think there will be space on the sides and top to vent, do you think this microwave will still be suitable?
Home from work now and just inspected my microwave space and yes there is a space at the top of cavity to vent behind cupboard about microwave
I've got a 10cm space above the microwave to ventilate and also about 5cm on each side in the cavity. Given it also has a grill element, the top which is where the vents are need more cooling and so space above in the cavity is desirable if that makes sense.
Hi Rod, This microwave is designed to be freestanding, and should be placed on a bench top only, with at least 30cm of space above the microwave for ventilation. It should not be placed into a cabinet or any enclosed space. Regards
Can the oven be set to 50F degrees for meringues?
As you would be aware, there are many versions of making meringue but according to the Ariston instructions for their version of meringue - set the oven to fan forced function on 100-120c @ 90w & cook for 30 to 40 minutes on the micro wave baking tray using baking paper. We have made a simpler version in a couple of minutes, by just mixing icing sugar & egg white into a dough, roll in balls, place balls on a paper towel on a plate & cook on high in the microwave for 90 seconds. I have seen recipes where they recommend beating the egg whites at 50f or 10c & cooking at low temps for a couple of hours, then leaving them in the turned off cooling oven to dry further but there isn’t a lot of difference from the 90 second version in the end. Happy cooking.
Can this go under a bench
I believe you could, just ensure it is well ventilated as per product manual. The door opens from underneath the door & you would need to bend over to see the functions but this would be an issue with any under bench microwave. I think they designed them to be at bench level or above. Ours is in a well ventilated recess above the oven at eye level, so you can easily see the functions & open the door.
Hi Janet, This microwave needs at least 30cm free space above the microwave for ventilation purposes. There also needs to be sufficient space around the microwave for proper airflow so it is best placed on a bench. This microwave should not be placed in a cabinet. Regards
