Hi Guys, This has been rumbling on start up and when reversing in the cycle. The machine also does seem to be getting hot enough and drying seems to take for ever. Solutions please? Mike Penning, mikbevp@bigpond.com

I purchased a T754HP Dryer and less than two years it does not work. I have had dryers that lasted over 20 years without a breakdown and they were very basic, I thought I would invest in a well known brand with a 6 star rating and I am very disappointed for a dryer that retails over $2000.

Contact Asko Service. They are very good with repairing or replacing it. Ours gave us problems from 6 months and they came out twice and repaired it and 3rd time took it away and overhauled it completely. Haven’t had a problem since.

Purchased the T754HP dryer 4.5 years ago after being talked into it by a Fridge & Washer City sales rep who said that ASKO was the best on the market - so I forked our $4118 for the washer & Dryer!! I so wish that I had of stayed with Fisher & Paykel (previously lasted 15 years), I would have saved $2500 - I have been dissatisfied with the quality of the wash & the fact that the dryer takes hours to dry after repeatedly doing further cycles - now the heat pump has stopped working, doesn't extract the water and doesn't dry the load - not even 5 years old so very disappointed with ASKO products!

Am I stupid I just don't get it or the manual is wrong. Normal Auto dry leaves clothes cool and not quite dry. So when I change it to Auto extra dry it says 2hrs 50. The clothes definitely don't need 3 more hours. Does it definitely turn off or reduce the time or just go for 3 more hours? When I tried the Anti Crease the display said AC and nothing was happening so I thought it was done and hey wet clothes. Manual says Anti Crease is performed after the dry cycle. I'm perplexed is this dryer too intelligent for me? Taken hours to dry one load so far.

With Auto extra dry it works out the time for you. The initial time can be 2:50 however it works it out as it goes so it can change and be less. If you want to check the load don't stop it, just open the door and restart it otherwise I find it starts from the beginning.

AC is just the extra tumble every second seconds or so until you get to the clothes to fold.

I only use Auto extra dry and the clothes drying time difference from load to load.

Hope that helps a bit.

Is there any way an Asko heat pump dryer can be installed on a shelf above a top loading washing machine?

That's what I'm just about to do at my place. It's apparently not a problem as far as I've been told by my builder - just make sure that the shelf can take the weight and vibration.

Hi Norman, The weight of our dryer is 60 kg not including the weight of clothes. So please ensure the shelf & washing machine can handle this weight. If they do then its OK to use.
