No refund almost 1.7 years on...
I booked my flight ticket with Aunt Betty in Feb 2020, and then COVID happened. Travel didn't look possible in the near future, so I asked Aunt Betty for a refund. They told me to wait, and I waited and waited. Asked again for a refund, and was told the Airline was not providing a refund. Checked with airline and they mentioned the agent had not submitted for refund, and airline is providing refund to everyone. Unfortunately, the refund application had to come from the agent so I went back to Aunt Betty. They keep repeating the same excuse that...airline is not providing refund even though I shared proof that the airline is willing to refund. I am not sure reason why Aunt Betty's locking down my funds and giving excuses for not refunding it. They seem to have lost their way in supporting their customers during this very difficult time. I don't think I am ever going to see my money again. Lesson learnt - book with the airline directly, at least they behave responsibly.
Surprised full refund
I was surprised too receive a full refund after my family's booking was disrupted by Covid 19 lock dawn last year. Not many were that lucky at the time.
More than a Year waiting for a refund
Due to COVID we had to cancel our trip last year which we requested the refund, they offered a voucher so we took it but we found out that the voucher wasn’t for long so we requested the refund, we still waiting for our money back and it’s always the same answer patience! :( plus they said that the airline will keep $500 dollars fee? for what! We couldn’t travel! This is completely unacceptable. I will never use this company again.
LYING THROUH THEIR TEETH
- flight cancelled due to covid . told i would recieve a shell creidit for the $1000 plus dollars
-No email sent with shell credit values. Chased up over the last 6 months and still no email
-Finally get a CSR who states the full amount and expiry dates and said id call back in 2 days to book .
- Calls back in 2 days and credit is no longer available and they have the credit issued by the airline but becasue the airline is in voluntary adminstration cant issue credit . happy to issue the lesser flight amount of 261 but not the remaining 800.
- Basically said they had other customers to attend to and they needed to attend to them .
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! DO NOT TRUST THEM !!! FLIGHT CENTER SCAMMERS !!
Airport flooded so plane was cancelled
Asked to get a refund and they said I was tagged as no show according to airlines system so basically I missed my flight….
I confirmed with the airlines and they said I should be all good for refund nothing wrong with my ticket…
So basically they lied
Will never use again, refuses to refund my money
Bought a return ticket to South America in 2020 with Aunt Betty. Hubby bought the the exact same ticket with ByoJet. Covid happened and we weren’t allowed to travel.
Hubby got a full refund within 6 months and I’m still waiting a refund after 18months. Aunt Betty just refuses to give my money back, advising they can only offer credit to travel knowing international borders are close and you can’t use credit. Have been experiencing hardship and really needed my money. Total disrespect, never ever use them in any circumstances. I regret not...buying directly with Airline who confirmed a refund could be provided if purchase was made on their website. Lesson learned, i feel i’ve been scammed. I can’t believe a company that trades in Australia can steal your money and you have no right. Wish i had funds to take them to Court. The whole situation is unreal!!
Careful With This Company
They will find any excuse to avoid giving your money back even when you are entitled to it. Excuse #1. They first blame the airline for not giving refunds at the time you requested it (fake, confirmed by the airline), What they are really doing at this point, is waiting till the end of the 1-year validity of your ticket, and then they come up with the excuse #2. Later they will say that now your ticket is expired which is funny because it means that before expiration, I could have applied for a refund but the answer I got before expiration was...excuse #1. finally, #3. After having no more valid arguments, they will say that the airline policy applied to them as an agent, is just like that. I know of other people who booked through another agent for the same airline, who were able to get a full refund without all this mess. Now, the only option I have is to decide before the 31st of December, the new dates of my flight. No one knows when we'll be able to travel again, which means that if by the date I decide to travel, the borders are still close, then I'll have lost my money.
Do yourself a favour and book with airline direct
Made getting a refund impossible during a Covid lockdown. Was a very distressing experience with the call centre who were borderline belligerent. If i could give zero stars i would. Never, ever again.
Etihad confirmed full refund in March. After 18 weeks we found out Aunt Betty never applied. Worst company ever!!
Said they applied for refund in March after Etihad confirmed eligibility in an email. June follow up - brushed off. Insisted on getting application no. in July & found out they never applied. 4 months later still no money. Etihad keeps confirming full refund. Aunt Betty is avoiding our demands. It's their mistake and they should wait now. We have waited long enough! How can they keep us from getting our money? Just horrible!
Very frustrated with their denial to refund
I have been ignored, when it comes to my refund.
My flight was cancelled because of the covid and when applied for refund it was approved. But never got my money back.
Have contacted them so many times and its been more than one year and they are not coming back with any answers.
I will never book with them again.

DO NOT book with aunt betty they are useless. I booked a flight for a certain day and i have a screen shot that it is confirmed then they email me a completely different date! I called to ask about it and they said I booked it and it was my fault and I asked for an email address so I could email my screen shot and prove that it wasn't my fault and she started yelling at me saying she will change the date just tell her what I wanted. They are honestly rude and horrible to deal with do not book with them just don't do it!
So my trip to England was cancelled last year for obvious reasons. Aunt Betty converted the cost of the trip into credits and I was happy with this because I still wanted to travel. Unfortunately not much has been available and the credits were going to expire in December, i saw some reviews of people saying they had a bad experience and their credits werent refunded so I was quite anxious when emailing aunt betty. I was absolutely shocked with how smooth and easy it was, I simply said I wanted a refund and that was it they were more than happy...to give me my money back. I will definitely be booking through aunt betty again, they made me feel in the loop through the whole covid period. It's unfortunate that it is common to feel uneasy with business' especially online ones so Aunt Betty has been a pleasant surprise and polite one at that.
Would avoid using in future
Received a credit for 4 Virgin flights cancelled at start of Covid pandemic. Credit note received for total value of around $850.
Went to book one way flight at a cost of $255 and was advised I had to pay an additional $36 as the credit is per flight.
Absolutely ridiculous that I had to make an additional payment when I have credit already available. On top of that, there is a deadline to use the credit - which is reasonable but not when they restrict the use of the credit. The credit note also does not state this, it just states the full credi...
Worse service ever
I waited for more than a year for the refund of my ticket that I couldn't use because Covid , called thousands times before.and I got no answer for the issue .

I have Virgin Credit with you for Bali which expired in January 2021. Will this now be extended to a later date and can it be used for another domestic destination??

My flight was cancelled on 19 March 2020, your office informed that my refund will be proceed near 12 weeks since. I didn t have any reply or advice on my refund status and I am still waiting for my refund. Can one of your representative replied my questions? Please respect our customer's right, at least, we are protected under Australian Customer right Act. I have been writing various mails and refund forms, NO Replied at all. I will keep my last hope to receive your reply soon. My booking number is ABY3159956.
