defects / issues it is not uncommon and Ausbuild has been more than happy to rectify issues.

Today we have our 6 monthly maintenance follow up which was attended by Spencer and Cav, from the maintenance department, and they were amazing. They explained everything in layman's terms and even provided some additional maintenance tips that were not on the home owner's sheet.

Thank you all for your hard work and I look forward to dealing with them again.

Overall, we had a good experience building with Ausbuild. The home was finished on time and to a good standard, and we’re really happy with the final result. The only downside was communication — updates weren’t always consistent, and we had to follow up ourselves a few times. Poor communication – We recently build a house with Ausbuild at Warner (the sanctuary state) QLD. This is the second time we build a house with Ausbuild but this time I found different Ausbuild. very frustrating experience, as at the end of the day they work for the sellers, which has lead us to once again consider building as opposed to buying an established home.

In the 3 years since we last built we found that Ausbuild has continued to refine its approach, they have invested in more robust estimating tools which allow for more accurate quotes prior to official contract signing, investment in visualisation tools to depict site setbacks etc. They have invested in staff development and retention so people through the journey are providing us with meaningful information catered to the right audience and they have simplified the build process by introducing information sessions, contract signing assistance which helps yoy understand your plans to say the least, All of these subtle yet critical changes help to facilitate a better build experience.

I find nothing is never a problem, I myself am very indecisive so I have repeatedly changed my mind on home designs or options and every one through the journey has supported me with a smile an experience for which we have been thankful for.

I would sincerely like to thank Ausbuild for a thoroughly positive experience and would ha e no hesitation in recommending Ausbuild to any one.

Appointment, and then the Colour Selection, it was a completely disgusting experience, and they hadn't even started yet! The trade services they used were shambolic at best. The plumbers. The Electrical Work. The Tiler. The Cabinetry. Except the actual chippy work, -the frame work was pure artistry, I have to say in fairness. And the painter was pretty awesome too. The rest of it, was fascicle! In the end, we did not get the house we SHOULD have had. The house that we paid through the nose for. We upgraded everything but pretty much had to compromise on an upgraded finishing. Ausbuild 'clip the ticket' whenever they can, and use the cheapest plastic crap whenever they could. Little things make a bug difference. Ausbuild is expensive, but it is certainly not value for money. I feel, utterly ripped off. If I could have backed out of our deal without losing our deposit, I would be living down the road a bit in a beautiful Metricon House writing a completely different review, I'm sure! We only went with Ausbuild, because we loved the section. Still do! Now, after 2 years, I can say I love my home now. But not my 'house'. I don't 'love' that! Ausbuild spoilt that for me. Every time I look at my tiles, or the little plastic clips holding the doors back, the uneven concrete in the alfresco that pools water whenever it rains, the doors that jump out of the tracks even though I'm gentle, The most disgusting Electrical work, my external air-con unit placement and wiring, the gate... the gaps in the front door, the soft closers that don't work properly, the... well you get the idea. Everything, has been a fight with Ausbuild. And it shouldn't have been. EVER!

Our Ausbuild experience: Bitter! Traumatic! Disgraceful! Unprofessional! Expensive! Unacceptable! Amateur! Appalling! Heartbreaking! Embarrassing! Disgusting! Stressful! Despicable! Miserable!

The way Ausbuild dealt with us, was without a doubt, the most unsatisfactory experience we have ever had. This was supposed to be our dream home.

If you are going to be an owner-occupier and are seriously considering Ausbuild, then it is my absolute advice, to walk away now, and find a builder that actually cares and understands that they are building your dream home, a little further up the road. If you are an investment property buyer, then, you can find cheaper houses than these, also, just up the road. You don't always, 'get what you pay for'!

Ausbuild made me feel ripped off from the moment we signed, until, ...well today actually. Three of my friends were going to buy in an Ausbuild estate, none of them did. (You're welcome!) When I see the finishing of their homes now, it just makes my home even more gut wrenching to come home to. Value, is not determined by price. Value is determined by what you get for your money. Ausbuild charge top dollar, but there is no value. It's just an expensive average new house on an equally expensive section in the end, in a street full of other expensive average new houses and sections.

I have a saying... "Stuff Happens, but it's how you clean it up that makes the difference!".

If I were a billionaire, I would buy the Ausbuild, just so I could shut it down.

I'm not. But if I can stop you from making the same mistake we made, ...well at least it's a start!

for people considering building is when you leave a comment on their website of posts they DELETE it and block you from commenting!!!!These were factual comments for other people considering using them to be aware of. One of the reasons we chose ausbuild was because I didn’t see any negative comments on their posts/pages. No I know why - anyone that had shared a negative experience had had their posts removed and blocked like I have also experienced. Rather than trying to address the issues customers have had they stop people from being able to review accurate reviews of Ausbuilds service and holds. This to me demonstrates very clearly how Ausbuild works. This is not ethical behaviour. I would not recommend anyone to use them to build their home.

Cannot fault! – We have just finished building and we cannot fault Ausbuild and their amazing team of contractors. Our build was seamless from start to finish. Final costings were kept within our budget as we were advised costs of extras and decided to stick with the standard things that were included in the total price of the house.

Happy customers – Right from the beginning with the sales consultant it was a great service very personable and not rushed. Terrible contractors! – Every contractor did not care about the quality of their work. We had three bathrooms re-tiled and rendering rework 4 times. The roof leaked and we had countless other problems which resulted in three QBCC complaints. The reason we chose Ausbuild was because after walking through what felt like 95000 display homes from about 1000 different builders, Ausbuild were competitively priced and the finishes were great. I recall inspecting some display homes from other reputable builders and the tiles didn't even meet up with the other flooring in a straight line, causing the join to go off at an angle. So I knew that if the display home looked good, my house was going to look good. Our contract manager was so easy to deal with. We communicated mostly by email and nothing was ever an issue. Now that we are in the house, there are a couple of minor issues that after nearly 4 weeks of being in the house, I still haven't raised them and that's probably because this whole thing has been great so I'm not disgruntled, and will eventually get around to it. The only issue that really bugged me involved the cleanliness of the house when I moved in. The cleaners contracted to clean it did not do a satisfactory job and it was not of a high standard. Everyone has been great in this process, particularly our contract manager and our site supervisor. I'm already looking at house plans ready to build my next home.

Mostly happy – There was some miscommunication at times and some errors made along the way but these were corrected thanks a lot to Katy and Michael (the build supervisor/foreman) they were both good to deal with. site manager was dealt with in a minimal amount of time. The house was left spotless and the outside area completed perfectly as requested.

Building a house is a huge expense but clients need to be flexible as well and not expect absolute perfection straight up. Our house was built to the plan and exact specifications that we supplied. Everything we wanted was supplied to Ausbuild in either letter / email or a detailed and scaled drawing. This proved to be a great way to confirm our requirements. Our initial consultant was not of a high standard but the consultant who we finished with was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There was also no hard sell as we did not build in an Ausbuild estate.

We would recommend Ausbuild to anyone thinking of building. From the receptionist through the colour selection staff to the builders and supervisor, they do listen to your concerns and problems provided you are also reasonable in your requests. Your house is not the only one they are building and it is the final product that counts.

It's like pulling teeth – After over 5 months I'm still trying to get Ausbuild to complete my plans and get approval for the build. If your just after an investment build for the absolute bottom dollar sign with them and have zero expectations during the build, if your building a house to live in or can spare a small amount more go with another builder who will look after you once a contract has been signed.

As someone else has said get yourself an independent inspector during each stage, some of the work may have been within "standard" but was terrible overall. In short anything they suggest they can do (recommend their real estate, inspector etc) go with the opposite and sort your own. The work, quality and service really are poor and once they've been paid you can forget getting anything rectified.

Great quality all round – Good quality build - no real complaints. Some wet weather held our job up for a few weeks but this was unavoidable and we still managed to move in by Christmas. There were the occasional hiccups long the way, delays with the mirror splash backs and tiles to the alfresco, but the admin staff at Ausbuild worked in to resolve them, all up we took delivery of our house 4 weeks after planed. With the final inspection all of the minor defects were fixed no questions asked!

We believe that Ausbuild offers real value for money and are very much satisfied with new home, and would build with them again.

helpful and knowledgeable - they provide a quote up-front without pushing for deposits etc. The building team are staff (not all contractors) and the building supervisors are always available and on site each day. We also found they didn't come back to us for extra money (not like our experience with a large national builder where they charged us $1000's for soil removal etc) - everything was in our contract. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to build with the best builder in Qld - hands down.
