I just changed my internet to Aussie Broadband, I spoke with Laura she was so friendly, helpful and talked everything through perfectly. Now my internet works with my son being on his gaming consoles and hubby and I can also stay on the net whereas we couldn't even sign in with our last provider and it's heaps faster too. Been with Aussie for 5 years. Speed has slowly decreased over the past 24 months to a point where it is now causing problems. Used to get 80mbs 2 years ago. For the past 12 months it is averaging 25mbs. I upgraded the package to the 100mbs two weeks ago but have not reached even 50mbs since doing that. Customer service used to be good but now… Read more

pushes you down the app which is a very slow form of communication. Maybe one exchange of messages every few days. Tried calling but gave up after too long on hold. Looking for another supplier.

Extremely reliable and fast! – My Aussie Broadband 100/40 HFC NBN service has proven to be very reliable and consistently as fast as claimed. Connection drops are rare (perhaps twice per year) and usually related to a power outage in a nearby area affecting infrastructure. They communicated very clearly by phone and, from memory, the problem was resolved after NBN Co came to the house to fix a physical issue with the connection. Aussie Broadband also provide a 'phone app, so you can check the status of your Internet connection at any time. I particularly like this feature. You can also manage your plan and report any issues you encounter, via the app.

I recently moved house and cancelled my service with Aussie Broadband - even after years of faultless internet service - purely to save money, by rolling the NBN at new address in with my mobile phone provider.... what a terrible mistake. Not only did that provider fail to get the internet connected, they sent me emails claiming it was activated… Read more ·  2

and then blamed the modem I had, saying it was locked, offering to send me one of theirs in 2-5 business days ( I knew my two teens could NOT wait another week on this....). I humbly rang Aussie Broadband and they had us signed back up and connected within 24 hours! With the modem we already had! (Used with them prior, not even their modem, but it had 'Made The Bond' - Avatar style) And we even got their advertised discounted price for 6 months for a faster connection. Teens are stoked with the faster speed and the household tension has evaporated.

I am now rolling over my two mobile phones to Aussie Broadband as well. Lesson learned: if you are getting great service, DON'T CHANGE!

A++++ – Recently a game I play (DOTA2) has had routing issues for most major ISPs in Australia. The connection is bouncing to Asia, in most cases with as many as 20 hops before landing in Sydney at 200+ ping/80+ packet loss. I have not had any disconnections from service without prior warning from ABB. Nor have I had periods of unstable connection spanning a period of two years.

After this (admittedly minor in the grand scheme of things) routing issue with DOTA2 it really feels like you are trying to provide a service that people are happy to pay for. Opposed to other Australian TelCo and utilities companies that feel like they take business for granted as there are little alternatives.

I'm so chuffed I had to write a review somewhere so cheers for all your hard work, there is no doubt you are my favourite company to give my money to!

However, there are a few areas where Aussie Broadband could improve to further enhance their services. With the increasing prevalence of eSIMs in modern devices, waiting for a physical SIM card to arrive feels outdated. Implementing eSIM support would streamline the activation process and bring Aussie Broadband up to date with current technology standards.

Furthermore, while Aussie Broadband offers bundle and save options similar to other providers like MATEs, there could be more incentives for customer loyalty. Offering discounts or bonuses for bundling services together could encourage customers to consolidate their accounts and remain loyal to Aussie Broadband.

Additionally, while the customer support over the phone is excellent, the wait times can be lengthy, sometimes exceeding an hour. Introducing an in-app chat support feature would provide customers with a more convenient and efficient way to get assistance without having to navigate through website queues or wait on hold.

Overall, Aussie Broadband has earned my support with their stellar customer service and dedication to resolving issues promptly. While there are areas for improvement, such as eSIM support and reducing call queue times, Aussie Broadband remains a top choice for reliable internet and exceptional customer support.

FTTP NBN – I decided to get FTTP installed to enable a faster internet as we constantly had drop outs and very slow speeds,which took the NBN 4 weeks to fix the original install error and on the fix date I got speeds around the 98 to 100 which was great but am now only getting on average 50mbps which I’m not to happy with. Show details

Unable to manage complex problems – ABB level 1 support is great. If the problem can be solved in one interaction, the L1 support people are very knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, NBN being what it is, some problems are more complex and ABB are completely unable to manage them. I've had to make three official complaints and have made 2 complaints to the TIO. round, the complaints officer denied there was a problem and at one point left me on hold and went home. He said I should switch providers if I was unhappy, so I did and Launtel was able to resolve the problem within a couple of weeks.

If they make a comment below this review that they are sorry and I should contact them, they being disingenuous. They weeks and dozens of exchanged emails and phone calls to address the issues that I have referred to.

cold, clinical almost unhuman response from the staff member. No confidence regarding when or 'if' the service will be resumed and certainly NO entitlement to any compensation if of for a day or two either!!! Our infrastructure is farcial and 3rd World. These corporates are in the big money bed together, so there is no accountability or regulation anymore!! DISGUSTING.

FTTH upgrade and changing to Aussie Broadband – NBN upgrade to FTTP, ping to aus servers dropped 12ms, ping to Asia has much better routing than my last provider down from 240ms to 77ms getting more than download speed, 37/40 for upload. Why didn’t I switch years ago? So much better – I had Optus for 10 years for home internet. Had performance problems and drop outs almost every day. Was on a very expensive plan. They kept blaming NBN. Finally replaced them with another provider aussienet and it’s been near perfect since. Perhaps the better eero router from a better provider helps. Don’t know. Went for a new connection with a competitor, 5 days later, no connection, minimal communication, back and forward emails, resulting in endless frustration. was fantastic, informed me of the nbn connection cost that I no doubt would have been slapped with later down the line with the competitor. Within 30 mins I had a connection, followed by another call to the tech team to help re-configure an exisiting modem. Within another 15 minutes and another fantastic customer service experience, my nbn is up and running without a hitch. You may pay more than competitors, but I can now see why. Local tech support and customer service pinnacle. Price isn’t always everything!
