So my parcel started at Chullora nsw on Friday arrived in Newcastle on Saturday so my parcel is 51km away they put on my tracking I would receive it either 1st -2nd July but auspost have now decided to sent it on a 2000km journey to Queensland only to be sent it back again WTH come on auspost this is crazy who’s running this show bunch of muppets or what it does not make any sense at all Show details
I would give half a star if it was an option. Delayed mail. No ability to chase via customer service line, just send me in circles. Staff at the post-office stated "surface mail had low priority", hence the delay. I'm waiting for a new Mastercard that was received at Strathfield NSW mail centre at 05:54 on the 4th May. Arrived Northgate Qld on 5th 22:24. It's now the 10th evening and it's still in Northgate!! Show details
It's my opinion that criminal organisations have infiltrated the Australia Post sorting facilities and transport hubs. It appears that precious metals have been disappearing at an alarming rate in the last 12 months. This has been well documented among coin collectors buying online. Also, bullion has been vanishing via the Australian post delivery… Read more
system. You only have to read reviews from the Perth Mint or forums. Years ago this would never happen, but these days goods that vanish without a trace is common with Australia Post. The Benalla Post Office was approached by myself expressing my concerns about the issue, they had zero interest in the matter. When I asked the lady at the Benella Post Office if postal workers carry mobile phones on them, I was told that's "confidential information". I asked this question because mobile phones can have metal-detecting apps installed on them. A simple wave over a parcel can detect if precious metals have been packed. Since Australia post don't care about theft, and you like to buy the odd piece of jewelry or coin online there is a big chance it will not arrive. That would also apply liquor being delivered. Makes no difference if the parcel has tracking or a signature on delivery. The contents will arrive opened with the goods missing. If you lodge an investigation with Australia Post in regard to lost or stolen goods, don't expect any effort will be made into recovery. So if you have an interest in a life of crime or belong to a criminal entity, send your resumé to Australia Post. They would love to hire you.

Great service great team thank you for helping me out Show details
Always friendly and polite, these people are awesome delivery persons Show details
Continuously supply me with accurate updates and on time deliveries. Although no company is perfect the way Australia Post strives for it they would have to be close. I couldn’t imagine any supplier wanting to use anyone else for deliveries privately or commercially. After dealing with Team Global Express and their 96% Failure rate to their customers it’s so refreshing to have Australia Post there! Show details
Australia post delivery - packaged box x1 and parcel x - receiver Very friendly Australia post driver, rang doorbell and waited patiently, about 30 seconds (!was washing up in the kitchen at the time). He was polite and courteous - his name was ? Dashan - not sure how to spell it. If an Aus Post rep sees this, I'd love for him to get the positive feedback! Packages arrived in good condition in a decent timeframe Show details
Australia Post seems to be going downhill fast, as far as parcel deliveries go anyway. Communication and delivery times used to be great and almost always delivered at the time they specified. Now we get ad hoc communications (sometimes none and the parcel just arrives or never does) along with unfathomable and wasteful delivery journeys. For… Read more
example, I purchased an item from a retailer at BATHURST on Wednesday morning which was to be delivered to me at Mudgee. The parcel was picked up by Auspost later that morning and approved for shipping at 12:50 pm that day.
Next entry was that it had arrived at a SYDNEY sorting facility on the Thursday late afternoon. Next entry it arrived back at BATHURST on the Friday 1:00 am and it's still stuck there.
So Auspost wasted two days and their time and effort shipping the item from Bathurst to Sydney and back to Bathurst again!
If Bathurst had simply put the parcel on the next Mudgee bound van I would have received it Thursday morning.
As it is, because of their crazy shipping zig-zags I'll be lucky to receive it by the next Monday!
This is not the first time this has happened either. I ordered an expensive ceiling fan from a retailer in Brisbane. The delivery journey showed it went from Brisbane to Sydney and back at least FOUR times. Finally it was officially declared lost and the retailer had to ship me a 2nd fan at their cost.
They badly need someone with an ounce of brains to come in and sort out their parcel routing madness and failing messaging service.
Not good enough.
Absolutely incompetent people running Australia Post. My order has been all around the country, except where it should have gone. Followed the tracking and incorrectly sorted at 6 different locations. Unbelievable. How incompetent is that I ask? Get your act together Australia Post and employ competent employees. Show details
Australia Post lost $88.5 million last year. Their CEO took home $2.68 million including bonuses. This is how they’re trying to reduce it. They are chasing me for $5.50 I don't owe them. Australia Post quoted $66.80 27th April for my parcel. I paid it. They are now demanding $72.30 — an extra $5.50 with zero explanation. Their own website… Read more
quotes the same parcel today at $61.71. So overcharged and they are demanding more. No one at Australia Post can be reached to ask why….. I imagine everyone just pays it. PACKAGE: to Strathmore Vic: 38*38*32 8kg Perhaps if the CEO took a slightly smaller bonus they could afford someone to answer the phone OR at least explain why they think the money is owed.

Bought some vintage car trim from a guy on Face Book, not his fault that AP have lost this, he packaged it properly in a cardboard tube and put a signature required label on it. See attached photos. I put in an enquiry for it being well overdue,… Read more
finally got an email reply, this has now gone well past that due date, I phoned and was told to wait longer. Well I have had it, time to make a claim for compensation, but how does one do this? I can't find any way to do this online, so another wasted hour or 3 on hold waiting to talk to another person that has a thick foriegn accent. This also means that unless I can collect it myself I will not buy from Face Book again. Until this issue I have not had any issue with the performance that AP have achieved, but that is now all blown away.
Follow-up · Finally received "compensation" from AP, but it was time consuming and annoying. I would much prefered to have the vintage trim parts arrive for my project. These lost / damaged issues only seem to be for items that are next to impossible to replace.
I had an sms that my delivery would be at 12:20pm-02:20pm on the 27th of March 2026. Since there was no delivery made till 3:00pm, I called the post office and was told there was a picture as proof that it was delivered in the lobby. If the delivery… Read more
man does not take a picture of a delivery in front of the door with the door number, it is not a proof of delivery. Then , I went to the other lobby, and it was on the floor of the other lobby. Anyone could have taken it.( Please take into account people's feedbacks in reviews)
Follow-up · I eventually got the parcel in the other lobby. The photo taken by the delivery man did not have a door number as it was left in the lobby of the other lobby . So, the photo was not a proof.

Despite having my gate to the front door wide open and waiting actively for the package, the lazy delivery driver forced it through the narrow gap on the box. This was a delicate product, a car part, and this st***d ignor*mus forced it through,… Read more
squashing and almost ripping open the little box. Seriously, if he damaged it Im going to sue them, this sort of rubbish happens all of the time! They are just too lazy to get their a** of the bike to take the package up to the door, its disgusting! YOU PPLE, get out of the delivery business, the bakery business, the petrol business and the wine business!! Just open a bunch of restaurants, thats all you seem able to do! Maybe some IT, but not always!
Follow-up · The part wasnt damaged as we discovered upon installing it. However, if it had been, nothing would have been done. Ive had parcels of close friends delivered to the wrong address and the parcels were not returned and there was no compensation offered. So Im glad it wasnt damaged. The part was wrapped in bubble wrap and then in a small carton. The small gap was the MAILBOX gap.

What a fantastic company to deal with. I have NEVER had any issues with Australia Post and their service is second to none. The drivers that contract to Australia Post are also excellent and always use care when delivery parcels. Well Done Australia Post be proud. Show details
Australia Post consistently delivers a highly professional and efficient service. Their reliability and commitment to getting parcels delivered on time is truly commendable. What stands out most is their attention to detail and strong customer service focus. Even during busy periods, they maintain excellent communication and ensure items are handled securely. It’s clear they take pride in their work and strive to provide a dependable service to the community.
Overall, an outstanding level of professionalism and efficiency—highly recommended.
With all the courier companies around at the moment you would think the competition would be pretty stiff. In all honesty though most things that come through AusPost or Star Track actually arrive, maybe a little longer than the other companies advertise, but at least it gets here and I don't have to chase it up and go to the seller to have items… Read more

Not to mention my postie is lovely always knocks on the door with a smile and happy demeanour. It feels like they actually want to be doing what they do. Never throws or damages my packages and if I'm in my car arriving home or leaving and she spots me in the driveway she hands it to me right there.
We all know post can be slow but as long as I get my mail it's still a step above the rest

I tried to Change Leave request on the AustPost tracking site . Multiple times it came back with error message below. Looks like something went wrong. Horrible service at a premium price. I have been waiting on a parcel from South Australia (being delivered to Victoria) and so far the parcel has been scanned twice - once at lodgement in SA and the other at the centre of postal death Dandenong South where it has been for the past 2 days. location. I cannot see why it is so hard to have the mail move at a reasonable pace from lodgement to delivery. We pay one of the highest postal rates in the world and we get 4th world standard postage. I have had quicker deliveries from China - and I am being serious about that, because Australia Post was not involved at all is why. How about giving customers value for money and actually do what you are supposed to do - deliver mail and parcels in a time efficient manner. And, their chat line is useless as well as they just give you the corporate waffle and do not help at all.
World's largest parcel box and home all day with no attempt to even ring the bell. I bet they never even came. Now I have to collect from a parcel box using a code. Amazon are great, why Aussie Post has become so lazy is the great unknown Show details

Too many times now have I been home and a package should be delivered, but instead of a knock at the door, or ringing of the doorbell, they just send a text saying 'attempted delivery' and take it straight tot he post office without even trying. About as bad as the private contractors at this stage. Presumably this is down to rushed workers and not enough staff, but the result is a delivery service that fails to deliver every time. Australia Post isn't what it used to be. It's getting worse every day. They sent the package from customs to four different delivery depots within three days. Not only did the parcel arrive late, but the items that arrived were all damaged. This is the second time this has happened. I tolerated it the first time, but now every parcel is arriving damaged and late. I've asked the companies I buy from to stop sending me parcels via Australia Post. Show details
Again Australia Post has failed to deliver my parcel to my home as paid for. Instead, they took it to the Post Office without attempting to deliver it at my address. The Post label clearly states that the parcel can be left on my veranda. This has become a habit and when I made a previous complaint, I received two separate lies as to why it was not delivered as requested. Below standard delivery service and below standard customer service. Show details

such that where it used to be 'post by 3 pm' it is now 'post by 10 am,". Gee I just woke up, fed the cats, had breaky, got dressed and you expect me to then get to the post box BEFORE 10 am?
I do wonder if Australia post delivery drivers are trained in ninja tactics. They slide in like a stealth bomber and just drop your package, they seem to be mortally afraid of ringing the bell or announcing their arrival for some reason. Front door can be open , but nope, the fear they have or the doorbell is beyond understanding. Show details
Despite paying a premium for express Post delivery, they do not provide the service and in this instance delivered these legal documents 3 business days late. three days. When I tried to track where it was via the phone number they provide, it didn't even accept that I had that tracking number and instead kept referring to some other companies tracking number that had absolutely nothing to do with me either as a sender or receiver.
When I finally was able to speak with an actual person at Aust Post they advised me to ring back the next day. Still no information about why it was sitting at their depot.
When I logged a complaint about the late delivery on their website, I kept getting emails from their staff that obviously hadn't even read the complaint as stated on their own website.
I had one email ask me to provide proof that I purchased the Express Post package and signature confirmation on delivery, despite the fact they had the tracking number and I screen shot the info showing it was 3 days late, yet Aust post provide no means for you to send them anything but a text message. You cannot reply to their emails as they say this option isn't available.
When I actually listed that fact in the updated complaint no one ever responded or acknowledged that fact.
Its been weeks now and still no response from Aust post complaints section.
I have now referred this to the ombudsman.
Outstandingly poor service all around at every stage, on delivery, their phone service, their app, their lack of customer service, their lack of providing a mechanism to provide the info they ask for, and finally the lack of response over all.
I would rate them zero Stars if that was possible.
An indication of how many complaints they have is the fact that when you ring on their complaint… Read more
