Too many times now have I been home and a package should be delivered, but instead of a knock at the door, or ringing of the doorbell, they just send a text saying 'attempted delivery' and take it straight tot he post office without even trying. About as bad as the private contractors at this stage. Presumably this is down to rushed workers and not enough staff, but the result is a delivery service that fails to deliver every time. Show details

three days. When I tried to track where it was via the phone number they provide, it didn't even accept that I had that tracking number and instead kept referring to some other companies tracking number that had absolutely nothing to do with me either as a sender or receiver.

When I finally was able to speak with an actual person at Aust Post they advised me to ring back the next day. Still no information about why it was sitting at their depot.

When I logged a complaint about the late delivery on their website, I kept getting emails from their staff that obviously hadn't even read the complaint as stated on their own website.

I had one email ask me to provide proof that I purchased the Express Post package and signature confirmation on delivery, despite the fact they had the tracking number and I screen shot the info showing it was 3 days late, yet Aust post provide no means for you to send them anything but a text message. You cannot reply to their emails as they say this option isn't available.

When I actually listed that fact in the updated complaint no one ever responded or acknowledged that fact.

Its been weeks now and still no response from Aust post complaints section.

I have now referred this to the ombudsman.

Outstandingly poor service all around at every stage, on delivery, their phone service, their app, their lack of customer service, their lack of providing a mechanism to provide the info they ask for, and finally the lack of response over all.

I would rate them zero Stars if that was possible.

Absolutely horrendous. Would not recommend ever using. Just use independent post or something else. Paid for express delivery on medication. Package has gone from Brisbane to 4 different locations in Sydney (my location). Then to canberra to 3 different locations then back to Sydney. Great in a fuel crisis. English and know how to resolve a customer that has been hugely inconvenienced . [Name Removed] , [Name Removed] ( I couldn't understand her even when she attempted to 'spell' her name ) and the 3rd idiot operator whom couldn't even be bothered. Ohhhh btw... I began recording the conversation from the 1st idiot after 3 minutes, I have over an hour of recordings. Do better , deliver my item/s and fire the 3 useless " call centre " operators that don't give af.

squashing and almost ripping open the little box. Seriously, if he damaged it Im going to sue them, this sort of rubbish happens all of the time! They are just too lazy to get their a** of the bike to take the package up to the door, its disgusting! YOU PPLE, get out of the delivery business, the bakery business, the petrol business and the wine business!! Just open a bunch of restaurants, thats all you seem able to do! Maybe some IT, but not always!

 Follow-up  · The part wasnt damaged as we discovered upon installing it. However, if it had been, nothing would have been done. Ive had parcels of close friends delivered to the wrong address and the parcels were not returned and there was no compensation offered. So Im glad it wasnt damaged. The part was wrapped in bubble wrap and then in a small carton. The small gap was the MAILBOX gap.

folk at Australia Post are literally NO help, firstly you sit on the phone on hold for up to 1hr waiting then they apologise with no recommendation or solution. I told them my Express Post envelope travelled from Melbourne (on a Friday) to Brisbane (arrived on Saturday), and was delivered to their Wakerley facility (called MOOKIN-YABA after the aboriginal elders area I’m told). Then they tell me what they can see on their screen which is the same as what we now see I might add, so they literally were No help (but full of apologies). I asked them to escalate or intervene in this delivery - answer was No; I asked for a manager to talk on the phone - answer was No, and I asked when I would see my package - answer was I don’t know. So basically they’ll deliver it when they feel like it. Good news is I can apply for a refund of the postage amount though, to be honest I can’t be fckd. Great job Australia Post, you’re hopeless.

It would be nice to see some competition, they would last…

 Follow-up  · Hopeless I watched the package via the app being scanned in Brisbane & Melbourne, I rang about 6 times trying to intercept it. I could see it being scanned in & out of their facilities. About 1 month later, the parcel was returned to sender, and we paid to have re delivered… Australia post were NO help on the phone, nor did they ever call back to check. Very disappointed with their service

I don't have a mail box so I need auspost to do the one thing it was built for, to take mail so I can pick it up!!! Never seen a company that old get worse with time, usually the business model plan is do better. Ausposts business model is, screw them what are they gonna do about it.

Sydney taking two days but lately it's a week, when it should be three at most, I should drive there it would be much quicker considering the car gets 1100km to a full tank. This company has lost its drive to deliver anything on time, just look at the debacle with Brisbane Australia post where the drivers were doing parcel swaps in the parks. This is not right Australia post you should be ashamed. Your top bosses get paid way too much yet cut costs with services and still charge a premium for something that takes the same time as regular post. I have boycotted Australia snail mail and have started using other , far more reliable companies that actually care.

I sent a small parcel from Perth to Hobart. Unfortunately, on this occasion, I have had a disappointing experience this time. It took 9 days , express post, from Cottesloe (Perth) WA, to Huntingfield (Hobart) TAS. That's way too long. In addition, the live chat to follow up was also frustrating. What's the point of telling you when your item will be delivered on a certain day and then when you organise your day to be home so you can give them a signature. service person who hardly speaks English tells me that they can only investigate after 10 business days. My response was unprintable. What we need here is a good class action lawyer to put together a bug class action suit and teach these moneys what happens when they advertise their products and services in a misleading way. Australia Post is worse than 3rd World postage services.

Here's another update. An Express Post parcel sent by a vendor in Sydney metropolitan area to my address in the Melbourne metropolitan area is described as "on time" on the Australia Post tracking system when the parcel is expected to arrive in 2-3 business days instead of 1 business day. I say again, anyone who is a lawyer and knows anything about class actions should set up a class action law suit and a formal complaint to the ACCC against Australia Post for misleading advertising and fraud. It is super simple. Australia Post advertises and promotes and Express Post service which has next business day delivery between specific metropolitan areas and they almost never deliver on time so they are charging a premium for an inferior service. It is time that they are taken to the cleaners for this disgusting business conduct (or more accurately, business misconduct).

claimed the contents (perfume) were prohibited, even though they simply lost the package and couldn't return it.

Parcel 2 & 3: Missing for over a month (containing nail polish). Status is stuck, and support provides no updates.

I have lost significant capital due to these failures. They take your money for "Express" services, lose your inventory, and then quote policy loopholes to avoid paying compensation.

If you are a seller, use a private courier. Do not trust Australia Post with your inventory.

I sent an item express from Redcliffe QLD to Paradise Point QLD. I was told by the unfortunate at Redcliffe that it would arrive the next day, overnight, Great. been told, the useless staff in Devonport didn't even scan the parcel to begin with. Now they can't find it in store or in the tracking system. When speaking to the staff, they state 'we're too busy, its Christmas' and to check online. No details are online, because they didn't scan the parcel in the first place, and not to mention, it is now past Christmas, and there is absolutely no excuse for losing a parcel, especially when you DIDNT EVEN SCAN IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. This parcel is of great value to me, I have owned it for several years and purchased it overseas. SHAME ON YOU AUSTRALIA POST!!! FIND MY DAMN PARCEL!!!!

luckily someone saw it and picked it up and put by the front door in the shade. Luckily no-one ran over it but it had been lying out in the hot sun for 3 hours! Pet Chemist emailed me to say that the package was delivered by Australia Post on Monday December 15th, 20025. I cannot figure out why this happened and find it hard to believe that the postal worker would have left it there intentionally. I do hope he/she is all right?! I rated this experience 2 stars (bad) but every other time it has been 5 stars (excellent.) I would appreciate it if someone could let me know what could have happened. Thank you.
