5 weeks, not 10 working days!
I send the same letter on a semi regular basis from Australia to the US. Although I am repeatedly told by Aus Post staff that it will take 10 working days to deliver, it consistently takes 5 weeks. Why the lie?
On Monday 16th September, I sent a parcel through Standard Delivery from Australia to India. The address on the customs sticker clearly mentions MUMBAI, INDIA and while paying for the postage I clearly mentioned to the staff several times that the parcel is going to India. I even have a photo as an evidence that Indian address was mentioned on the customs sticker.
On Wednesday 18th September, I received a tracking notification stating the delivery is organised from Australia to MALAYSIA?!?! I followed it up with the international consultant on...the same day and she stated this happens all the time and it will go to the mentioned address so there is no need to do anything. Today on Monday 23rd September, since morning I have been on the phone to Aus Post trying to track down my parcel. I received an sms early in the morning stating the parcel has reached Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and is waiting to be delivered. I called Aus Post again and spoke to the international consultant and she took down my details (sender) as well as the receiver details and stated that she will message malaysia post to intercept the parcel to India. Then again I got an sms stating the parcel is in transit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is waiting to be picked up by the local carrier?!?! Once again I had to call the Aus Post asking if they got a reply from Malaysia Post - the international consultant who answered the phone did not apologize or anything and he stated its all under control, we have spoken to malaysia post and it will be put on the next flight. AND then he is stating the fact that if nothing happens until next week then it will be delivered back to me in Australia so don’t worry this happens all the time. How can I not worry? It is a special gift for someone’s special occasion this week. As a customer, I should be in peace of mind after handing over the parcel to the Aus Post staff that it will reach the right country and address at the right time. I should not have to keep following up regarding this. I will be very lucky if the parcel reaches India at all and on time. Presently it is in transit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I will be very very disappointed if the parcel comes back to me in Australia. It is not my fault that Aus Post staff cannot read the destination country and address properly when sorting out parcels.

Terrible LP101836804AU - worst experience
It has been a nightmare experience, terrible service. LP101836804AU.
Promised delivery was 10 working days today its 23 working days and no one knows the where about of my parcel.
Strangely the lady where i booked (LPO Firle South Australia) was unaware whether she booked ordinary service or with tracking service. She insisted I paid 2.50 Aud and i had to convince her showing the receipt that i paid AUD 34.30 service having tracking (International Standard). It seemed news to her even though she booked me.

Couriers are cutting corners with home delivery.
I have noticed that the couriers do not deliver parcels to the door anymore, instead they leave notice card in letter box, or do not leave anythig at all. One needs to watch the tracking information on internet which is not always updated until later. Then one needs to chase whereabouts of parcel because the information is not available where to collect it. It shows lack of willingness in completing their jobs and showing unprofessional ethics from couriers for what they are paid. Very inconvenient for the post item recipient.

Parcel never delivered, however AusPost showing delivered
Tracking number: LZ610791764US
Ordered some expensive supplements worth 500$, paid extra shipping cost. Still lost my parcel.
When asked AusPost, they said its delivered to my home address. As no one was there they left it in my letterbox. The parcel was two bottles of at-least 200ml each, I wonder how did they fit it in through the letter box hole.
Repeatedly asked them for the receipt of delivery, except some word in email nothing received. No ready to help, however did mentioned in the email, to contact the sender.
AusPost when you receiv...ed and delivered the parcel, why are you asking me to ask sender to a refund? AusPost, could you please explain who did you manage to squeeze 2 bottles, 200ml each wrapped in a cardboard box, through my letter box gap? Please do not trust AusPost for there deliveries, my neighbors keep getting my mail and I keep getting theirs.
Australia Post, have become very unreliable in recent years
Unfortunately our National Postage Carrier has declined noticeably in recent years,a few months I bought a Speed Sensor for my Mazda 6 as the original one had developed a fault, causing the car to not change gears on the auto transmission.
I bought the replacement from eBay, after a lengthy wait, I got a card in my mailbox informing me that a package was waiting for pickup.
When I went to the Post office to collect the Postmaster took me to one side and showed me an empty padded package which was oviously been deliberately ripped open and the c...

AustraliaPost - efficient and progressive
As I shop overseas regularly some things need returning. Auspost now offer email updates of where your package is at anytime and proof of delivery. No denying that it arrived.
Most Helpful Service
I am supporting a family in Venezuela, and the staff at Australia Post are always most helpful with friendly advice as to how to get the parcels to the family. As the services in Venezuela have broken down they always advise me to the best way. The staff are always very friendly and most helpful whenever I visit this facility.
A huge help
I mistakenly put a wrong address on my parcel coming from the UK which has caused all sorts of problems but everyone I have dealt with at Australia Post has been amazing, going above and beyond to help me get it sorted. I'm very grateful.
I have watched my parcel move halfway around the world in 2 days, then move from Sydney to Brisbane in 19 days. Lol. What must the senders think? That Australia post uses donkeys?
Lost parcel, 2 month runaround, unwilling to investigate only to explain away their own involvement.
I ordered an item from overseas. It was sent and processed by customs some 2 months ago. No delivery. I contacted AusPost on several occassions even lodging a missing item complaint. At first AusPost continually told me that it was being held by customs (according to their system) and they couldn't do anything I had to contact customs. So I did, I lodged a complaint there too and was advised by customs that my parcel arrived was processed, and given to AusPost some 2 months ago. They even state in their response to me that they spoke to AusPost...about this and were advised my parcel had been delivered and I should check with my local post office for the article. I add these details to my complaint to AusPost who are now claiming the parcel was lost on it's way to Australia and it needs to be followed up with China Post instead. Apparently a tracking msg that says 'Arrived with a date and arrival entry point in this case Sydney' doesn't actually mean that. It just means it was scheduled to be on that flight and was assumed to be on that flight but who knows...?' Here is my response from Auspost on this issue. My parcel has a tracking entry with a date 30 May 2019 as having arrived in Sydney. Here's what they now claim.... "I can only see that it supposedly arrived into Australia on 30/05/2019. The reason I say that your article 'supposedly' arrived on this date is due to the fact that we only have an automated scan showing that the flight your parcel were scheduled to come to Australia on had landed in Sydney. Whether your parcel made it onto that flight or not isn't something we can confirm, which is why your sender needs to initiate an investigation with China Post. China Post will then send us the dispatch details and all relevant paperwork to ensure your parcel made this flight, and if so, investigate where it is now and why we haven't received it.
Something very very fishy
I tracked a parcel that was coming from overseas. I received notification that it had been delivered to my P.O.Box 2 days previously. I went to my P.O.Box there was nothing there. I went into the post office and was told a member of the staff remembers putting the item in my P.O.Box. Myself and my wife are the only ones with a key and we did not take delivery of it. To the right person it was a very hard to find and highly desirable item.
Certainly the worst post service in the world
I have been sending parcels to my family overseas many times and i always have massive issues with delays and this time damaged item and stolen item
They asked at the post office which option we want to chose between sea or air and advised a 7 business day delivery so after paying a fortune for the postage fee we were expecting our parcel to arrive in around 2 weeks time but it took 4 weeks, the original box (Australia Post box) that we reinforced with taps all around and at the corners has been replaced by another box and one item was broken a...
Horrible delivery service!
My parcel arrived in Perth 1/6/19 and been sitting in transit at Yokine for 5 days now. The app keeps saying that it’s arriving today but its never arrived! I asked to be delivered to my parcel collect at Yokine and it’s been sitting there forever undelivered! Worse service ever! Email sent, called, sent another email and still no one got back to me and no parcels!
Aus post - slower than a wet week
Facts - I can track my stuff form the minute it hits the US postal service and every point along the way. Crosses into Australia Post’s incompetent hands and .... nothing. Again.
Poor international service
Poor service at toombul, extremely slow shipping... Evidently they're making millions on product sales, please boycott their products until they improve their service. It takes 8 to 12 weeks for standard package to reach europe, it's proposterous.
Printing error on "You have mail" for Post Office collection card.
Being 'carded' by the postman, when I am at home to sign for the letter, is extreme annoyance, but my annoyance turned to anger, when I followed the 'Business hours collection list' on the card, (which has "Sat 0900-1230) and arrived at the designated Post Office last Saturday at 9am, to find the shop shut, with Business hours on their entrance door reading Monday-Friday.
Perhaps Australia Post cannot blame others, when their printed red collection card clearly provided me with incorrect business hours (Saturday).
Australia Post Does not deliver
So yet again (2nd time this month) Australia Post, doesn't....
In true predictability the postie arrives 11:15am yesterday morning, Before I could get off the lounge and out the door (10~15sec's) the mail has been dumped into the mail box(at least!!!) and the motorbike off down the footpath.... Continued outside to fetch said mail and retrieved 3 letters and a card to pick-up a parcel at 2pm.
Yet again had to waste 5kms of fuel to do Australia Post's job....
International to Australia 2 weeks. Local delivery 5 weeks. Amazing!
Bought from an International seller and parcel arrived to Australia in less than 2 weeks time and Australia Post delivery took 5 weeks to deliver after complaint. Logistics is still pretty weak in metro areas.

Questions & Answers
Hi, my tracking number is:
My parcel is being shipped from the States. I made my order on the 06/10/19 it is now 17/10/19.
When I checked the tracking status through 'Global Access Carrier Tracking' it showed that my parcel arrived in Sydney Australia on 13/10/19. Now that it's been passed onto Australia Post it says 'PRE LODGEMENT BY SENDER'. Can you please help me find out what is happening with my package & when I will be receiving it!
Hello. My package ( Urgent Letters and Bills) was sent via International Registered ( NO TRACKING) form WA-6153 to Hong Kong on September 27th . It has still not arrived . The date-checker indicates it should have arrived. Should I be worried that it is lost? Contains a new Medicare card too. If I had known I would have requested my friend just use Express International, I had no idea AUSPOST's registered services was not trackable!
Priscila L.Australia Post
I'll be happy to help you track down your urgent letters and bills and can understand your concerns as it contains important documents that you don't want to go missing. If they were sent Registered then there definitely should be a tracking number and basic scans we can look at, can you please tell me the tracking number you have? It's been more than two weeks which airmail can usually take up to this long if it was caught up in a delay with flights and customs so I wouldn't say it's lost yet.
Priscila L.Australia Post
I can see an internal scan to show that it landed in Hong Kong on the 10th however it still needs to go through some internal processing before it's cleared into the country and handed over to Hong Kong Post. Please allow until the end of this week.
Hello, I would like to know whether my parcel has been shipped or not. I've actually just sent the parcel for international standard shipping and have been given a tracking number LK981865909AU. but it hasn't updated me regarding the whereabouts of the parcel.
Priscila L.Australia Post
Happy to help you track this as I understand you're worried not seeing any updates. Can you tell me which Post Office you sent it from and what time?
