Did not deliver as per instructions, no communication with delivery partners. I have been forced to make 4 phone calls to Australia post still without success. I had a delivery from Chemistwarehouse containing important tablets that the driver took to a house further up the street, as I am number 1 and a unit in a retirement village to anyone with even half a brain this was not the correct address. No one home there so… Read more

clever clogs took it to the post office for me to collect. My only means of collecting is with a taxi which I refuse to pay for considering I was home and it was not delivered here. This was a week ago..I wonder if I will ever see my parcel, Chemistwarehouse have washed their hands of it. How these people (drivers) keep their jobs is beyond me a lot are illiterate and we have to live with this.

Sent a collectable oil lamp to a customer packed in a sturdy box, lamp parts wrapped in bubble wrap and packed separately, 1 inch thick polystyrene compartments surrounding each piece and glued in place with hot glue, newspaper filling any gaps, box hot glued shut as well as taped. Lamp arrived to customer in a different box and completely… Read more

shattered. The box would have to have been so incredibly roughly treated for this to happen, almost deliberately. I will never use Australia Post again for anything like this. I bet they won't compensate either even though with tracking and signature purchased they are supposed to. My advice......DO NOT DO IT.

Continuously supply me with accurate updates and on time deliveries. Although no company is perfect the way Australia Post strives for it they would have to be close. I couldn’t imagine any supplier wanting to use anyone else for deliveries privately or commercially. After dealing with Team Global Express and their 96% Failure rate to their customers it’s so refreshing to have Australia Post there! Show details

Australia post delivery - packaged box x1 and parcel x - receiver Very friendly Australia post driver, rang doorbell and waited patiently, about 30 seconds (!was washing up in the kitchen at the time). He was polite and courteous - his name was ? Dashan - not sure how to spell it. If an Aus Post rep sees this, I'd love for him to get the positive feedback! I repeatedly get an email to go to the Post Office to collect my parcels. But they are addressed to my business so there is always someone in attendance during business hours. It really isnt good enough as a fee has been paid for delivery, which I do not believe has even been attempted. No wonder parcel post profits are high. We are being charged for services not given. Show details

It's my opinion that criminal organisations have infiltrated the Australia Post sorting facilities and transport hubs. It appears that precious metals have been disappearing at an alarming rate in the last 12 months. This has been well documented among coin collectors buying online. Also, bullion has been vanishing via the Australian post delivery… Read more

system. You only have to read reviews from the Perth Mint or forums. Years ago this would never happen, but these days goods that vanish without a trace is common with Australia Post. The Benalla Post Office was approached by myself expressing my concerns about the issue, they had zero interest in the matter. When I asked the lady at the Benella Post Office if postal workers carry mobile phones on them, I was told that's "confidential information". I asked this question because mobile phones can have metal-detecting apps installed on them. A simple wave over a parcel can detect if precious metals have been packed. Since Australia post don't care about theft, and you like to buy the odd piece of jewelry or coin online there is a big chance it will not arrive. That would also apply liquor being delivered. Makes no difference if the parcel has tracking or a signature on delivery. The contents will arrive opened with the goods missing. If you lodge an investigation with Australia Post in regard to lost or stolen goods, don't expect any effort will be made into recovery. So if you have an interest in a life of crime or belong to a criminal entity, send your resumé to Australia Post. They would love to hire you.

working that don’t allow me the time to go to post office during business hours . Now the parcel locker had power surge yesterday and they put a sticker on the machine with an 1800 number to call for after hours collection and the number I called advised me that someone will get in contact …2 days after still no one contacted me …went back to parcel locker and issue hasn’t been fixed . So I contacted the number again and been told that the issue is been reported and if I needed something I should contact customer. On the meantime they keep texting to collect my parcel from locker then they let me k is that my parcel is been moved to post office and than I have a limited time to collected before they send it back . What’s the purpose to have a parcel locker if I have to take time off from work to go and it at post office …Australia post has proven again and again that they are an absolute joke and last thing in their mind is customer service …disgusting

on the other side of the property - the pedestrian gate and waited until 4pm for the delivery. At 4pm I received message from the Australia Post that the parcel was left at the Post Office because the gate was locked - that was total lie. I waited at home whole day for this delivery which never substantiated. This is very poor service on the part of Australia Post and this situation happened already few times previously.

Follow-up  · I contacted Australia Post, received confirmation of their internal action and since then there is no problem with the delivery. All parcels are being delivered on time and to my door. Apparently there is new postie who was initially confused about topography of my property so now all is good and I’m happy.

Follow-up  · Since my previous problems with Australia Post delivery to the Post Office instead to the home address, everything seems to return to normal. Subsequent parcels were deliver to my address promptly and correctly. At the moment I'm happy with Australia Post service and I hope it will stay that way in the future.

Standards have plummeted in recent times with delivery services. Postie/Courier accountability and delivery efforts are unprofessional and frustratingly sub par. On multiple occasions postie/courier is too lazy to ring front gate door bell as we are all home. Rather make no attempt and simply log an "Attempted delivery failure" citing no one home! Australia Post service has been increasingly worse over the years. With people not posting as many things, because most people email or SMS these days, the service should be faster and more reliable. I wrote a review a few years ago about AustPost, and they were still half decent back then. This time though, I'm afraid they've declined rapidly, and their service (or lack of it) shows. being late, then miraculously they supposedly delivered it on the Friday. I got the email notification and went to check outside, to the "safe place" that it was supposedly left at, despite me leaving SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS where to leave it. Needless to say they not only ignored the message, they also did NOT deliver it. I checked everywhere one can think of - even in my bins. Nothing. I also asked my neighbour. Nothing, which leads me to believe they may have lost it, then tried to cover their rears by claiming they delivered it. Dreadful and disgusting service from what is supposed to be better than private courier companies. AustPost needs to get its act together.

Heading: Disputed Delivery Attempt, Poor Customer Service, and Lack of Accountability I am writing this public review to share my experience with Australia Post (Case Ref: 71584846 / 72381094) and to warn other customers about serious issues I… Read more

encountered during the delivery of my parcel. 1. Disputed Delivery Attempt and Missing Notifications On 27/03/2026 at 8:33 AM, I received an SMS notification advising that my parcel would be delivered between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Both my wife and I were at home throughout that period. The SMS stated that if delivery was unsuccessful, the parcel would be taken to a Post Office. At 9:30 AM, I received an email stating that nobody was available to receive the parcel. This was not true, as nobody knocked on the door or rang the doorbell. After the delivery window expired, I immediately contacted customer service and lodged a complaint. Later that day, I also submitted a written complaint by email. The delivery record included a photograph that does not show my front door. My front door has a large letter “D” clearly visible in the upper-left corner, as well as a doorbell above the handle. Neither the letter “D” nor the doorbell can be seen in the photograph uploaded by the driver. This demonstrates that the photograph was not taken at my address and raises serious questions about whether a delivery attempt was made at all. 2. Confusing Tracking Information The tracking information provided by Australia Post was inconsistent. At one point, the app indicated that the delivery attempt had occurred in Melbourne, Victoria, even though my address is in Perth, Western Australia. From 30/03 to 01/04/2026, the parcel status remained unchanged and showed only that the item was in transit in Gwelup. For almost 48 hours, there was no clear information about the parcel’s location or when it would be available for collection. I did not receive confirmation that the parcel was ready for collection until 12:27 PM on 01/04/2026. 3. Refusal of Redelivery Despite Exceptional Circumstances After being informed that the parcel was being held in Gwelup, I contacted customer service and explained that I had undergone major eye surgery on that same day. I advised that I was medically unable to drive a vehicle or lift heavy objects. The parcel weighed approximately 4.5 kg. Despite these circumstances and my concerns regarding the disputed delivery attempt, my request for redelivery was refused. As a result, I was forced to arrange alternative transportation and personally collect the parcel from the Gwelup facility. I later received a response in which Australia Post relied on its terms and conditions to reject any responsibility for the additional costs, inconvenience, and health risks that this situation caused. 4. Difficulties Escalating the Complaint On 02/04/2026, after collecting the parcel, I contacted Australia Post again and requested to speak with a manager regarding the disputed delivery attempt, the tracking inconsistencies, and the impact the situation had on me. However, I was not permitted to speak with a manager, nor did I receive a return phone call from one. After exhausting all available complaint channels, I referred the matter to the Ombudsman, where it is currently under investigation. This experience involved a disputed delivery attempt, inconsistent tracking information, refusal of redelivery despite exceptional medical circumstances, and significant difficulties in resolving the complaint. I believe Australia Post should review its delivery verification procedures, customer service practices, and complaint-handling processes to help prevent similar experiences for other customers.

Follow-up  · Since my original review, I have continued to keep all documents and evidence relating to this case. I still maintain that the delivery driver did not come to my front door or ring the doorbell, which is consistent with the evidence I have provided. The SMS I received stated that if I was not at home, my parcel would be taken to my local Post… Read more
