Laziest people work in australia post. My office is on L2 and has a lift . Every time there is a delivery they leave a note . Terrible services. There no accountability to delivery people.
Disappointed in Service
Our suburb was changed to getting our post delivered every two days, which is okay if we received better service but now the posties rarely come to the door to deliver tracked items/parcels. In fact I think the service has gotten worse.
Instead of coming to the door, they jam the letters/parcels in the letterbox causing some of them to tear. We even had a parcel left in the top of the letterbox which was hanging out where anyone walking past could just have easily grabbed it.
We had a postie slam a parcel on his bike once because he couldn'...t fit it in the letterbox, which actually meant he had to get off his bike to come to the door. We have had damaged cds because they try and squeeze items in our letterbox that don't fit. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to see that. We had one postie nearly tear our letterbox down because he couldn't fit something in and kept trying to jam it which meant it was pushing our letterbox. As the letterbox was locked, he got annoyed so he had to come to the door, which he should have done in the first place. We also had the same postie ride his bike right up to our porch (it's only a small porch) to ring the doorbell and deliver a post. We just had our render fixed on the wall and he was so close to this render, he could have easily damaged our property, not to mention trying to squeeze past our cars. Our door from the footpath is not more than 5metres long, so not a long walk for him. We decided to put in a complaint to Australia post about the above incident, however, never again will I do that. When the postie returned the next time, he decided it would be a great idea to have a go at us, at our front door regarding that complaint. His argument was that he doesn't have time to get off his bike for every house, not that would happen like that anyway. However, he stood at our front door for 15mins trying to explain to us that although he loves his job, he can't find another job and that he needs to stay. He also complained that they are trying to get him to deliver parcels on his bike which he doesn't like to do. He said he was a postie for over 20years. When he spoke he had excessive spit in the corner of his mouth and on a few occasions in that 15 minutes that spit decided to fly at us. He didn't do it in purpose, but gross all the same.
Delivered to the wrong address
I just want to ask the question" why don`t you start employing people that can read address correctly "Other day I had someone else parcel delivered to my address, correct number but not the street, today someone drops off my parcel, it was delivered to wrong address, again correct number but not the street. Do your employees know only how to read the number... Clyde area has streets not just numbers. Educate them to read the letters not just numbers because this is gone far beyond any understanding of how many wrong deliveries, no one has anymore trust in Australian post

Careless, Incompetent, Useless, Dismissive, Disinterested And Disgusting
After countless negative experiences (spanning YEARS) with this useless, poor excuse for a company the straw that broke the camel's back finally landed today. Today I decided that never again will I pay their ridiculously exorbitant postage fees. Never again will I hand over an important item and assume it will be delivered safely just because I'd paid an exorbitant fee to ensure that outcome. Never. Ever. Again.
What was the final straw? Well, that was an important item I posted on Thursday the 18th of February. It only had to travel a d...istance of 160km (Toowoomba 4350 to Margate 4019) and should have arrived at its destination on Monday the 21st or Tuesday the 22nd at the latest. Instead, the tracking information has had it "in transit to next facility in BRISBANE AIRPORT QLD" since the 19th of February. This hasn't changed in the last 3 days. No-one I've spoken to at Australia Post seems to know or care why this has happened. All they've given me is empty apologies and no help whatsoever. They've told me it's still within the delivery time frame (I guess that time frame is based on their own low standards) and if it hasn't arrived by next Tuesday then I need to let them know. I repeat: Australia Post is careless, incompetent, useless, dismissive and above all, disinterested. Their prices keep climbing (for example, it cost me $10 to send one sheet of A4 paper express to Melbourne two weeks ago) and their service just gets worse. I've had as much as I can take of their incompetence so in future I'll be using Sendle when I need to post something. Sendle managed to get a parcel delivered to me overnight from Sydney AND it was cheaper. That is how a postal service should operate. So it's adios Australia Post, you'll never see another cent from me, that's a promise.
Aust post equals gouge post
Well is there no end to the constant price hikes! Maybe to claw the cost of Cartier watches.
We patronize the service, they apologize for being so busy,THEN after realizing this, They jack up the prices. Starting March 2021,so ive heard.
Sendle and others here we come
Bizzare times a and COVID is nice excuse for mismanagement
Now 2 weeks delay and counting for the parcel from Melb to Sydney. It is just ghosted with Auspost claiming that item was not dispatched by sender and sender claiming that item was dispatched. While I’m waiting for this parcel I sent another parcel from Sydney to QLD and also received another parcel from VIC within normal time like 2 biz days... bizarre times and complete absence of customer service.. is it hard to arrange work from home and look in the system? Company I work for went 100% from home in 3 days... it is not hard... just require decent management...
Packages going all over the country- except to me
Two packages arrive in Melbourne to be sent to country vic (one from China one from WA) only for them to both be sent over to Perth. They were less than two hours from my house and now heading to the other side of the country. Ridiculous.
Disgrace and disaster
After taking time off work to be home for a delivery that 'could not be safe dropped' (not by my choice!!) I had to chase after contractor's van who tried to ignore me running! What a joke has Australia Post become. The bloke lied to my face trying to say that he KNOCKED. I hear him sticking the stupid card in my door, surely I would have been able to hear him knocking - he DIDN'T. He snuck a card and tried to run to make me line up at a PO shop to get my item. Really, Australia Post, you are pathetic.
Prices going up again!
As a struggling business resorting to small time online selling to stay afloat, I find Australia Post amazes me that they can cry poor holding out one hand saying people don't send letters anymore so they up the price of stamps and reduce the number of days they deliver (but they say nothing about how much they are racking in with the other hand given parcel deliveries and online sales were taking off).... then came covid and it really boomed with online sales, they even put on more staff to cope. Most companies recover extra staffing and logis...tical costs in a boom just by shear volume alone, but AU Post again want more & just recently announced they 'held' prices through covid (while cashing in big time) and now are putting their prices up again as of 1'st March... after reports of FY20 record results INCREASED by around $729 Million - seriously AU Post, is this really necessary !!!
Nothing has improved
I ordered a remote control off Ebay that came to Perth during the Perth Covid lockdown and arrived on the16/2 and I have waited 6 days for it to be delivered to me and yet I have yet to see it onboard a vehicle for delivery, as a business goes Australia Post is over staffed, they charge to much compared to other businesses that deliver, and they have no idea what they are doing so far it is 18 days and counting
Just when I thought AP couldn't get any worse.
A parcel was posted from Canberra to Launceston Friday, 12 February and I've since discovered that it has been sitting in Launceston for the last 6 days. I'm really not surprised any more. At least this time it didn't take the usual 10 plus days just to get out of Melbourne.
Article sitting in an Aus Post warehouse in Melbourne
Purchased from eBay Australia recently. Frustrated from poor service from them using Aus Post last year.
Latest purchase has spent 7 days in Melbourne going nowhere and AP can't find it.

Ripped off again !
Just posted a parcel that i calculated on the Aust post website pre posting at $20.70, dimensions 44 x 20 x 26 and 3.3kg and was charged $25.10. Didnt say anything as last time i questioned them about if it Packs it Posts flat rate charges the staff didnt know the rules as they said they get no training and they hit a duress button, so have to face being ripped off again ! Unless the staff member incorrectly input the dimensions as she was trying to remember the 3 at once where they usually do one at a time ??
. Just got home and put all the d...
I ordered a computer case from Umart and the estimated delivery time suddenly changed from 1 week to 2 weeks. I submitted a form to question what was going on. Turns out the parcel which supposed to be delivered to Adelaide delievered to Cairns instead. Just how freaking incompetent and unprofessional those guys are? Parcel Number 33VAW515071601000934509
PS: The ironic thing is I just realised Umart Adelaide is opening this Saturday so I could have saved the $25 postage and have the item a week earlier than what the worst post service on earth could do. This part is not Australian post's fault, but it did make me feel much worse
MyPost Business beware of damaged goods claims process
Aust Post have an outdated claims process. Although you pay for extra cover for full value of the article being sent.
(Quote): Aust Post will not process a claim with photo evidence, your customer is required to take the item and packaging to a Postal Manager at a corporate post office, not LPO, for a third party damage assessment to be conducted and can make packaging recommendations for future parcels. (End quote)
This process encourages businesses to rethink if the additional 'Extra insurance' for items over $100 is serving the purpose.
I have been waiting for a parcel it has been in Kelmscott Perth arrived 10 th February and yet still not delivered I live in Kelmscott what is going on hopeless today 17 th still nothing has arrived
Nothing is perfect especially the Australian Post!
Was posted than sent back, now is posted again where am I going to get it God knows. It's slower than a donkey. The postal service is horrible. Now that everything has to be posted there should be more postal places than just the Australian post, or F the whole system.
Do Not Even Think About Choosing Australia Post
- Australia Post takes more than one week to deliver a small item from one suburb to another within the same city
- They refuse to provide you with updates and reasons as to what happened and why
- They keep using Covid as an excuse for delays, although life is back to normal and we are 11 months into this pandemic; plenty of time to update procedures
- They publicly tell you they are willing to help you and ask you to send them a private message So that they can have a look into it, but they won‘t come back to you and ignore your private messa...
No delivery. Never arrived
Never arrived. No delivery of product i ordered from interstate. P.O. kept it then returned to sender. So close. Ok, but at least notify me of this. No attempt of notification. Zero follow through.

Are the postal delivery personnel the laziest bunch or what? Fully supported by Australia Post!
I have complained about the issue of not getting parcels (large and small) delivered to my door countless times! I am mostly home, so that excuse won't work! So have others, in my circle of acquaintance!
It means that us oldies especially, have to turn up at our post office and cart around at times heavy parcels because the lazy postal delivery personnel can't be bothered to deliver the parcels to our door!
Do I (we) ever hear back from Australia Post? Never! It is just ignored and the practice continues unabated! An absolute shocker as far as service to the public is concerned!
UPDATE: Surprise surprise! My parcel today was delivered to my front door! Will this continue, though?
Questions & Answers
I live in Karratha Western Australia, my parcel was picked up from sender in Sydney on10/2, Most recent update, on my parcel tracking ''Delayed – waiting to be processed for delivery'', what does that mean? This is the first time I have seen that message, on my post tracking. Karratha residents have been complaining for the past 12 months, about how long it takes to receive parcels, with Aus post, it has gone from 1 to 2 weeks at the most, to approx. 4 to 5 weeks, if you are lucky. And the my post tracking appears to be useless now, used to be able to track a parcel quite well, now it basically just shows picked up from courier, in transit, and when it is ready at post office to collect, or has gone out for delivery to residence, besides the messages that constantly appear to say delivery delays. There appears to be plenty of excuses from Aus post, but no resolution?
Priscila L.Australia Post
I'm sorry to hear that parcels to you have been taking so long. The most recent update you see on your parcel means your parcel is delayed in our network, so sorry that it means the parcel is not needed anymore and I do hope it arrives soon! Can you please share the tracking numbers with me? Our timeframes are an estimation only and we do try our best to meet it but events can occur beyond our control that can cause delays.
My parcel has been ‘received and ready for processing’ since Monday 5pm. It’s going from Melbourne to Brisbane. Is this a usual time for processing in Melbourne?
Casey K.Australia Post
The first time it passes through a processing facility might not be until it's reached Brisbane so I'd expect it's currently in transit up to you and shouldn't be too far off.
Hopefully it'll even be out for delivery to you tomorrow but it may be early next week. If there aren't any further tracking updates still by Monday or Tuesday, I'd recommend letting your sender know you are still waiting so that they can follow up with us for you.
Hiya, I made an eBay purchase on the 10th, posted on the 11th. The I nformation I was given links to your page and still says it’s being prepared. 99703868955701008320909
Could I get an update please? Thanks
Priscila L.Australia Post
There are no physical scans on the parcel yet, did the sender let you know how they sent it? Was it in a street posting box? From QLD to WA were estimating up to 11 business days for delivery.
