Baumatic BAM251TK Questions & Answers
VerifiedHello all,
The start button on my Baumatic BAM251tk is no longer engaging when pressed. The microwave was functioning fine before this (apart from internal light not working). I’m reluctant to send the microwave to waste without exploring solutions and seeing whether it is an easy fix. Thanks
Hi Natalia, thank you for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear of this. Based on what you have described it could be related to the control. You may require a technician to identify the issue. Thanks
I've BAM251TK model which is 10 years old. The latch is broken and want to throw the old one and replace with a new one. Wondering which model would fit with similar specs as BAM251TK ??

Hi i HAVE A BAM251TK installed and after 10yrs it has finally died. Do you have a replacement model that will fit the same space as the BAM251tk ? Thanks in advance
I got the BAM28TK-2 from thecbfstore. It's great no issues. I did have to cut the top of our cabinet slightly for it to fit.
Hi Lara, this is the new model that is available. Please see the attached for the measurements: File: https://cdn.productreview.com.au/document/thread-message/efe73fbb-885e-59d6-be5c-410b5b761409 Thanks

My button to open the door is broken. Can I get a part or just a new microwave
Hi Susana,
sorry to hear, please call our parts team on 1800 444 357 to discuss :)
Does baumatic have a decent warranty? I usually buy Panasonic or sharp but need something to fit into my existing cupboard with a trim kit.
Hi Julie,
Our manufactures warranty is 2 years
thanks
ok i have never heard of this brand before? where can you look at one? i live in south australia near adelaide. We have been looking at harvey norman and good guys? my old panasonic microwave is now 17 years old and still going.
Hi Julie,
Unfortunately this model is now obsolete so it can not be purchased anymore
I have one and it's still going after 4 years
Ours has stopped heating. Power and all else seems ok. Who does repairs or could this be a simple fix?
Hey Greg,
Sorry this has happened. It is hard to say with just a description. Do you mind calling us on 1800 444 357?
Thanks.
Is this only a grill and microwave or would it be classed as a convection oven???
This product is not a convection oven. We only use it to mircrowave
Had a BAM251TK Microwave fitted. Looks good but the glass door is more like a mirror with the kitchen light on.
The internal light is barely sufficient to see what is cooking. Anyone else have these problems?
Hi Noel My main concern with the mirror finish was the fact that cleaning with a moist cloth meant I had to always go over the surface with a soft slightly damp cloth to polish the streaks away - but it looks good. My kitchen light does not reflect onto my microwave and I have found the internal light just enough to see the turntable but I must admit i have never been one to use the internal light of any of my microwaves in a big way. My big issue with the microwave is the way the time counted from 60 minutes first whenever you wished to change the power levels.
The door button has popped off my microwave & cannot seem to get a part for it can you help?
Sorry Diana - I did have a little trouble with the door button if I slammed it shut and it popped off but it's been well over a couple of years since it did that and I haven't any trouble with it since so I can only presume you may have to check the Baumatic on line site for dealers or repairers in your area that are able to service the microwave. But unfortunately like most pieces of electrical equipment any replacement parts are so expensive to replace.
