Beacon has subsequently offered to replace the faulty timer switch, but we are stuck with the noisy fans. Which we will now incur additional cost to replace with a better quality product.

BEWARE: They use Aramex!!! So the product price was good, but this 'Same Day Metro' shipping they plaster all over their website is a farce designed to lure you in IMO. It took three days for that tiny order (that was in stock) to travel just 20 minutes down the road. Would never order online again. Would have been cheaper and easier to just drive to the store.

Although i will acknowledge that the team onsite at Beacon Campbelltown have always been helpful - the store customer support is very poor.

By advertising and selling a “fixed-price installation” without asking basic questions about the property, Beacon Lighting creates a misleading impression that the installation will go ahead as promised. Customers should not have to wait weeks only to discover hidden conditions after the fact.
While I was eventually offered and accepted a full refund for the installation, the process was frustrating, poorly communicated, and ultimately misleading. I would strongly caution others to be wary of this service.

they give extra warranty to their electricians if they all meet the same standards). After a while I noticed the lights were dimmer. I went to the shop I purchased them and the girl said to email through the website which I did and provided the receipt number. I never got a response. I went back to the shop and they told me to do it again. In the meantime I had 3 members of my immediate family pass away within 3 weeks and I never followed up due to the distress. A year later I did follow up and again was told to do through the website. At NO time did anyone respond to my enquiry. Not to one of them. The original fan which is probably 10 years old is going like new. The three newer ones all have the LED lamps, which are supposed to 'never need replacing' (what I was told) lamination is at best 1/3 of lamps working. My kitchen is so dark. I wanted LED as I don't like dark spaces. I am so disappointed as they are so expensive (for me - not a flash house) and even more appalled by their complete disregard. I see others have similar issues and also see that ACCC has information on their site about warranty and treating the customer fairly. I say tread carefully with these. The fans for the most part are great and I like they retract however my bedroom one clangs loudly when retracting and rattles.

I’ve experienced repeated issues with their Lucci Air Climate III fans. The first time they stopped working, I contacted Beacon to troubleshoot the problem. Their immediate response was that the fans needed to be replaced. I paid for an electrician to remove them and, once I received the replacements, paid again to have them installed.
Years later, when the same issue occurred, I discovered that the problem was not with the fans themselves but with the receiver, which can be removed and replaced in just five minutes, a simple fix that should not have required two separate electrician visits at my expense.
The Lucci Air Climate III fans have failed multiple times, and each time, I’ve had to fight with the warranty team to have them replaced. One representative I spoke to was clearly reading from a script. When I asked how her response aligned with my rights under Consumer Law, she repeated the same scripted lines, had no understanding of the law, and was unable to escalate my case to a manager.
It took multiple emails, copying in various store contacts and threatening to escalate the issue to the ACCC, before someone with common sense finally intervened and resolved my complaint. However, the fans failed again 18–24 months later, and now Beacon simply ignores my emails.
Just like their Lucci Air Climate III fans, their warranty team and customer service are shockingly poor. I will be taking this up with the ACCC, as a $400+ fan should not repeatedly fail or fail to meet quality standards after just 18–24 months of periodic use.

Despite the fact that it’s installed in the centre of the room and not inside the shower recess, we’ve been told the product isn’t eligible for the warranty because it’s too close to the shower. The product information page only says do not install inside the shower recess - it still says that now - which we didn’t, but according to the warranty team the information on the product page is incorrect in that it hasn’t specified the other wet zones it shouldn’t be installed in. Nice and misleading for the consumer who takes “don’t install it in the shower recess” literally when there’s no other information there. Beacon however refused to take any responsibility for misinforming me upon purchase and has wiped their hands of it. Besides this, the product information page and specification sheet has the ip rating listed absolutely nowhere, therefore I didn’t realise I was buying a light/exhaust fan combo advertised in their bathroom section that has absolutely no water safety at all? Like why are they even manufacturing what’s clearly a bathroom product with no water protection, and then worse still, not highlighting this at all on their webpage? Don’t bother trying to keep up appearances by asking me to email some support email, I’ve already spoken to someone who gave me a longer winded version of tough luck. From what was explained it seems that little of a bathroom is appropriate for a light with that IP rating - sounds like you’re begging for trouble installing it in a bathroom at all and yet that’s what they’ve marketed it for, and by nature this product draws moisture to itself which it’s not equipped for? Due to their misleading information and lack of transparency I’ll be having to throw it in the bin after I pay for someone to uninstall it and replace it with an actual decent product with some water protection from somewhere else. It should be made clearer on the product pages what the IP rating is otherwise it’s a valid conclusion that installing it in the middle of the ceiling where pretty much all ceiling lights are placed should be fine. It was installed by a qualified electrician who I will also be following up with and I’m sure will also just tell me to get lost, but I was very disappointed by this product and the lack of responsibility taken by Beacon.

Warranty section of Beacon Lighting. The claim was denied stating we were within the coastal guidelines i.e. 5 kms from the ocean. As it turns out we when the tide is out, as the crow flys could just fall about 4.9999ks. However regardless of this, there is no indication on the box or on the enclosed warranty conditions that the light is not suitable for placement within this range of the ocean albeit an external light fixture. As a regular Beacon lights customer I attended my local store and spoke with the Manager who without hesitation replaced the light. Given the reasoning for the warranty claim denial I would have provided a 1 star however since the professionalism of best customer experience by the local store I provide a 3 star. However I am writing this review to warn potential customers to check location and the quality of the lights for exterior use to not fall into this trap when purchasing exterior lights. The light itself is good and functions as required. The quality of the finish is questionable and needs to be in a protected area regardless of how close to the ocean you may be. Hopefully the replacement will survive and the paint will not peel.

Because phone reception poor she said she would call on another line. She didn’t so For the second time I called back. She claimed she couldn’t call from another line and that she had emailed me. When no email arrived I called back for the third time and she claimed she deleted it and then said she’d send it and then despite my clear reception she claimed she couldn’t hear and hung up. The old “ I can’t hear you trick?” It’s as if Beacon couldn’t care less whether you get what you’ve paid for and what their advertising says. Fair Trading please note!

all team members seem to put the returns through the tills so I don’t believe our account history accurately reflects how bad the issues have been. Typically we don’t have any issues with the return in store, but at no point despite numerous requests has Beacon advised what the issue is, admitted there is a bigger issue or been willing to do anything proactive with us to find lights/bulbs we will have an issue with in the future so we can just be done with it. We have also not been compensated for all of the time up on ladders spent uninstalling/ reinstalling Down Lights and LED Globes and returning them to the store.
Beacon design studio - outstanding – Our consultant, Lizzy, from the Joondalup Beacon Design Studio was outstanding. Lizzy was extremely knowledgeable about import design aspects for every area of the family home (including brightness, locations, lighting types and uses) and helped us choose light fittings which would ensure that our living spaces felt warm and comfortable but were also functional and sophisticated.
