I work as a property manager and recently used this company to complete one of our carpet jobs. The carpet looks amazing, the customer service from Kirsty was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond, updating when required and I was always in the loop. Highly recommend them, especially Kirsty!!

Hybrid floor installation – My hybrid floor installation didn't go to plan. It was meant to take 2 days but ended up being 4 days plus the weekend, it did rain on the first night which was part of the problem. The original contractor spent a half day installing the leveling compound, which required additional labour and compound and therefore costs due to uneven floor… Read more

levels, not unusual according to some reviews. He could do nothing on the 2nd day due to the compound not being dry. There was a lot of cement splatter on the walls and blinds to clean up. The replacement contractor took 2 days installing the flooring and extra money was required to shave the front doors and I needed a handyman to shave and install my pantry door. The skirting required a lot a repairs and painting and I had a hole in the wall to repair. Moving my fridge back into place caused some damage to a couple of boards which I was told could possibly be replaced but that hasn't eventuated. Overall, I do like the look of the hybrid flooring but the installation was not a great experience and be prepared for quite high additional costs.

Good result – Very pleased with the outcome of the Flooring that Shane and his team laid for us. We had a minor glitch at the beginning of the job but Shane very quickly resolved the issue and achieved a good outcome. Show details ·  1

arrive to start the job, nobody turned up and nobody had the curtesy to notify me that they weren’t coming - I eventually had to contact the company to find this out. When I was given my initial quote I was told it might cost $2000 if my floor needed leveling- after my existing flooring had been ripped up I received a phone call from the manager to say it was going to cost me $3600 to level the floor. I have since spoken to other people who have had this done who say that sounds excessive for a 2 bedroom apartment. Also the building managers say that nobody else in my building who has had their floors done had had to have this done. When I discussed these issues with the manager he became very defensive - not what I would call good customer service. Having said all that, the end result is fine, but in view of the issues I had I wouldn’t recommend this company.

noticed they paid attention to detail and very open to discussing anything I raised. They also accommodated to fit in with myself remaining at home for the four days. Highly recommended. I have no relationship to anyone in Beare and never heard of them till I did a google search to get a quote. I also generally do not do google reviews unless totally deserved!

Go with a company that does fixed quotes, not Beare Flooring – Outrageous floating floor cost - Beare FlooringThis is a review to warn you of the horrendous experience and cost we have just had to pay using a Gold Coast flooring company called Beare Flooring. We found the company on google, they sent a nice enough rep to our house to give us the pitch and importantly “competitive quote” He measured up our… Read more

meek 43sqm and our quote for floating hybrid floor came to $4125.00 which was about $1000 better than a “fixed” quote we had already got… ( oh how I regret not taking that quote) This issue with the quote from Beare Flooring is they stipulate that this doesn’t include any other costs for works outside the instal like levelling etc, however when we pressed them on this we were told verbally that our floor looked pretty straight and max coats they have seen in addition are around $2000 if the floor is terrible. Our house is 10 years old. We thought we were pretty good. So we take the quote. The installer turns up, he tells my wife that the existing rules are uneven and need to come up, it’s a real pitty the sales guy couldn’t tell that.. couldn’t put that in the quote. So conveniently they have labor for this job ready to go. That was $2650.00 my wife went with it as they had half our deposit from the initial quote. The next day after the extra cost he comes back and tells us the no, it’s the floor that isn’t level and to correct that it’s now an additional $3000.00 So we are now $5650 more than the initial quote. Again Labor for this job is conveniently ready to go. We have no floor now and are at the whim of this company.

Regardless of the state of our 10 year old floor this company has taken advantage of us.

I would implore anyone who wants to have their floors updated to use companies that offer fixed price quotes and avoid companies like Beare Flooring. This turned into a nightmare and a cost far beyond our expectations and the false sense of trust this company gives you when you meet them.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.
