As of the 1st March 2018, Bendigo Bank Telco made the decision to sell its customer base to Bendigo Telco.

A bank that actually looks out for it's customers – My wife and l have been with these guys for over 2 years now, fees have never gone up and data has been increased. l can not give this company a bad rap as they have always been there to answer any queries. l would recommend these guys over a lot of others out there. UNHAPPY Shareholder – About the 26th July, my disabled brother phoned for a new nano sim. He was told It would take a week to arrive. I left for Canada on the 4th August. On my return the 10th Sept I found he hadn't received the sim. A day or so later he phoned Bendigo Telco and was told it had been sent. Of course they imediately sent another which did not… Read more
arrive. A week later and still no sim. Another phone call and it is on its way Express Post. Were told "Should arrive tomorrow". He asked for a credit. Reply "It was only ordered a week ago. Look further back to the end July my brother said. The operator replied there is nothing in the notes that far back. Today is 16th Sept. Will it arrive tomorrow? Horrified I will be bringing this up at the next Shareholder Meeting. 3 members of this household hooked up to this telco when the $14.50 per mth became available.
Frustration! – Network was ok until the last few weeks and now it freezes regularly and is so slow to respond. Trying to access Facebook is just too frustrating with constant freezes and drop outs. Time to find another provider for sure.

Great company – Changed my phone to Bendigo Bank Telco. Email correspondence was quick and seemed to be with workers actually based in Australia. They sent out sim very quickly and handled by phone number churn quickly. Very happy customer.
Long connection times – Went with this telco because of an offer they were having with no connection fee and a free router for a decent price for NBN 25. First experience was buying the monthly plan online which was okay, next was to receive confirmation and then recieve a connection date. Took around 3 weeks for any confirmation and then once that came it took another 3… Read more
weeks to find out a connection date. While blindly waiting, I attempted to call up and find out what was happening. Their customer service line was a a ridiculous wait time, around 20-30mims each call, and once you could reach someone I was told that they could not tell me a connection date and they would have to contact a more superior employee. Apparently this would take a while so they took my number and said that they will call back in 1-2days. Waited a week and no call back, so I called again and was told the exact same thing by a different operator. But this time with a promise that I will get a call back because this person said he always calls back. Another week wait and he never contacted me. Then out of no where I had received the router in the mail but still no connection date.... So had to call again and wait and finally got some.kind of answer sent as an email which should have been sent about a week after I originally paid for the plan. Then having to wait about 10 weeks from when I paid till the day I was connected.
Was connected though, I haven't had any issues. Fingers crossed.
Mobile plans are fantastic and cheap – I have converted 2 family mobiles over to Bendigo Bank Telco and we are very happy. The Optus network works well in the country and city. The plans are very affordable at $9.95 pm and $14.95 pm which includes data. I cannot understand why I was paying $60 pm with Telstra. Have a look at the Bendigo Bank plans and save some money. It does take a… Read more
while to get your sim, but the porting is immediate and I was not without a network.
PS: When you contact Bendigo Bank direct, you are speaking to someone in Australian.

zero stars if that was possible – -Sneaky -take advantage of the customer if you don't check thoroughly and keep track of your bill - they will overcharge you at the drop of a hat, at any chance they can. Causing you to have to call them up and have them through a lengthy process change the bill. -service is bad - activate data safety net before you have even finished your… Read more
data, this causes you to be charged $10 extra immediately, whether you want to or not. There is no way to opt out of this
-there is no way to check how much data you have used as apparently according to them, "Your own data checker is wrong' and only their one is correct.
- dont reply to emails and then charge you for not knowing certain things (even when you took initiative to enquire into it)
Ripped Off! – I have had the same issue as most people here...I will never be caught again! They never sent me a copy of my contract or anything in writing other than the invoices. This person summed up my issues perfectly! "Expensive, hidden costs, no warning on usage, limited information in your account, no app. our data tracker is always showing less data… Read more
use than what they are stating. We have gone over with every bill so charged more!!! This has never happened before with any other provider."
Only positive thing I have to say is that the customer support people are very nice and they are Australian.
Early termination fees rip off – Overall the plans are ok, but I was not notified going over my limits until after I had already done so. I know it takes up to 48hours but it took longer than that for me 2 months in a row.. customer support are nice at least but I couldn't put up the late notifications so I left to find I was still being charged 2 months later and the early termination fees are through the roof!

Sneaky, untrustworthy – Never trust a bank! I joined Bendigo Bank telco, but suddenly "Bendigo Telco" took over. They have nothing to do with the bank, but it was Bendigo Bank that signed me up. Reprehensible behaviour on both counts; the Bank and this Telco. Unlike other providers they give no warning if you are close to your 1Gb limit on data. I am plagued by 1 minute… Read more
message bank calls (which cost) each at a minute long. If you value peace of mind and your trust in human nature - steer well clear. There is nothing to recommend this mob!
"Absolutely Awful Company !!!" – when they were "Bendigo Bank Telco" they were awesome, but as soon as it changed over to being "Bendigo Telco" they became very frustrating and they really don't seem to care about their customers, it takes literally hours to get to talk to anyone, i'd been calling since 8:30am, so after being on hold for over an hour I left my number for them to… Read more
give me a callback, 2 weeks later they rang back. I have now changed companies but not without a lot of problems I had my internet and mobile with them, when I changed my internet, I gave them about 5-6 weeks notice and booked the cancellation from the 1st March received an account from them for Feb which I paid and thought that was the last one we'd get, then in April I received another account from them, after battling to get through to them I sent them an email stating my problem and about a week later received an email saying "Oh just disregard the bill" we do have the cancellation date as being the 1st March. not much of an apology from them. I am currently trying to cancel my mobile with them with the same sort of problems, if you are with them MAKE SURE that they have CLOSED your account after you have changed from them. " A VERY STRESSFUL COMPANY TO BE WITH"
This mob are terrible. Take your business elsewhere! – Terrible terrible terrible. Had trouble with their nbn service/connection. Couldn't care less. Just wanted the money. Next was a terrible mobile bill that had been caused by the nbn issue. Again they couldn't care less. Just wanted the money. No one at the call centre cared. Just give us the money. Can not emphasize enough. Don't go there. There are better deals and better service out there.
Worst service provider- I am paying money for additional data fees without using it every month – Hi all, I joined this company on September 17 on $14.5 monthly with 2 GB data. But every month, they have additional data, even I am not using it. I told over the phone and email that I am not using this much data (1GB in a day). They couldn’t give me satisfactory answer and charged me the data fees. Last 3 days, they are adding every day 1… Read more
GB addition data(total 3 GB ) even I am not using it at all.
They will not have a clear answer and I have to pay this illegal money.

Disappointed – Don't know where to begin. I signed up to bendigo bank telco in August 2017, i didn't hear back from them til October 2017 (3 months after) not even an email from them for updates. By December 2017, 2 weeks before xmas they hit me with a $330 NBN connection fee. Considering we already had an active phone line and was already on the NBN before we… Read more
changed to them and they wanted proof so i emailed them the proof. A week went by and i didn't hear back from them, so i gave them a call. Apparently they didn't receive my email. So it was just a run around. A week after that they called me to say they were waving the fees cause from the voice record conversation, the operator didn't explain the fees etc to me properly? So whatever. Its now Feb 2018 (Friday) i got home from work and noticed i didn't have internet so i called them up, they told me it might be a fault and it may take 7+ hours to fix and that someone will be in touch. And its now Saturday they are closed for the weekend and i gotta wait til Monday. No one has called me, even though they were opened on Saturday from 9am-12pm. A weekend without internet does suck considering I'm still paying for internet i cant use. Very disappointed with this company i will be going back to telstra and pay more instead of what bendigo bank is offering.
Terrible – So disappointed with this telco. Was supposed to be free connection but after a few months got a $330 bill for connection to an address without an existing phone, thing is we did have an existing phone line with active phone number, I rang them (which was an ordeal in itself) and they agreed to waive the fee, but three months later they have… Read more
billed me again for the same connection fee. In any case the service is very poor, slow, slow, slow, drops out all the time, basically unusable during busy periods most days. Will be changing
Cheap route to Optus network – Been using Bendigo for more than a month and found the coverage fine after all it is an Optus network. The bills are timely as a post paid and the accounts management is fine. I cannot fault them and represent excellent value for money. My only concern is that their data usage warnings are late and sometimes after the event and on one occasion… Read more
ran up a $50 data bill when using my phone as a hotspot for the laptop (which updated Windows). Still there is no penalty and the data costs a reasonable $10/Gb. So Bendigo as others have complained, improve your data alert service. Otherwise you are like Optus, excellent.
bendigo mobile phone – signed on mobile they said will be 3-5 days for sim to arrive took 2 weeks. prepaid worst ever. when im out internet is almost none existence waste of money will cancel this rubbish
Worse internet provider i have ever used! Leaving early and have to pay even more as breaking contra – Expensive, hidden costs, no warning on usage, limited information in your account, no app. our data tracker is always showing less data use than what they are stating. We have gone over with every bill so charged more!!! This has never happened before with any other provider.
Happy with service – I get just mobile with Bendigo Bank and so far there hasn't been any problems with the serivce. It is good value. If you go over your data limit you only have to pay $10.
Can’t go passed it – Network is amazing plan really cheap I’m definitely going to tell people about this.awesome guys.Help centre really easy to contact
May be cheap but will cost you a whole lot more once you sign up – They do not have their own app for you to keep track of your Mobil data, and the online website only show you the two days old data usage. They said that they going to send you a message once you have used 50%, and then at 85%, and then 100%. The only one we got is at 50% then their so called safety net automatically charge us $10 for extra one… Read more
gig. last it charge us on the last day of the month. And they said that’s part of the contract you cannot switch it off.. Not very happy but if want to break the contract I have to paid $55 for each numbers I have with them. Customer service just said it bluntly that if you are not happy then paid up and get out.
Don't go there – I joined up with them in November 2017 with a smart bundle of home phone and Internet. I still can't make nationwide or mobile calls on my home phone. Not only that, the Internet is slow as buggery, it cuts out a lot and doesn't cover my whole house like my last one did. They told me I had to buy a repeater. I have contacted them numerous times… Read more
and it's still not working. They said they will send a technician out but I have not seen or heard from one yet. They don't actually have a technician number or a complaint number. I am on hold as I am typing this review. I will be leaving this telco after only 2 months.
April 2nd 2018 Update: Data safety net issues
For the past 3 months I have been going over my 10 gigs of data up to 4 times in a month, that's an extra $40 per month on top of the $34 peer month. Only issue is that I hardly leave the house and my phone is always connected to my home WiFi.

Customer service is non-existent, and if it's after 4pm on a Friday, nothing you can do till MONDAY! – 14 days of no NBN. I asked them to get the tech to check the box at the end of our units, as it's happened to others, and that's where the problem is. Did they check it? NO. Reset my modem after 8 days - via the phone of course. No, that wasn't the problem. Please check the nbn box. Yea, we'll get someone to call you. Day after day, no call. Tried… Read more
calling them, and the staff were all on the phone - please wait. Sent umpteen requests per Messenger. I've had 4 phone calls from them saying they'll send out the tech, and they never did. Do not use this TELCO for your NBN. You'll regret it, and I'm sorry I didn't see this site before signing up. Now let's see if they give me back all the money I've paid for a phone line that was already there [$398].
Poor Customer Service – I am not impressed with the customer service. I was told by the Contact Center Manager that no point complaining to the Ombudsman as they will write to her about the complaint and nothing can be done. This is related to I signing up for a second service with a phone and got declined with no reasons. All I am told was they have the rights to not… Read more
approved the application. Clearly they do not care ago the customer experience when someone took the effort to complaint about the experience. They only good at price point and nothing else.
Worst Experience Ever – As long term (nearly 30 years) Bendigo Bank customers we signed up with bb telco for the nbn but no one at their end told us about the New Development Fee $ 300 PLUS GST we have been charged for even though the phone lines have been in the house for 15 years, when contacted they said it was in the email they sent??? etc and ask for everything in writing (or find another ISP) as for support have plenty of coffee with you cause it will be a long wait TIME for another isp and another bank.
This is terrible – This service is a big scam. Just after I got reminder from Bendigo about 85% usage of my data I switched off it and didn't use Bendigo data at all for 24 hrs. But now I got message saying that they activated safety net for data for $10. It shouldn't have happened as I never used any data after 85% usage. This is theft and I do not want to use this service ever again.
Wonderful service – I bought samsung galaxy s8 from Bendigo Bank Telco. The phone was delivered within a week and I am very happy with their service. Besides, this Telco is very reasonably priced. Don't be afraid to give them a try, their service has improved drastically. Customer service was great. Specially thanks to Meg, who was very helpful when I spoke to her. Show reply
Absolutely appalling – The amount of time it takes to get connected with BB is extraordinarily long. They claim it is because of the volume of demand from new customers. I thought this was a good sign. It is not. What is really shows is that they are interested only in signing you up. After that, you are on your own. After waiting weeks to get connected, I… Read more
discovered that my nbn connection was slower than any ADSL connection I have ever had. I doubt this is because of the nbn because I had nbn at my previous place and, whilst not spectacular, it was fine. According to online internet test speed checks, my speed was as low as 0.69Mbps which is 17 times slower than what I signed up for.
I phoned BB a couple of weeks ago to report this but they were not open. Their phone service invites you to leave a message so that they can get back to you. This is also a lie. They never called.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and I am frequently getting outages. Last night I had no internet connection at all, although the lights on the modem were all lit up.
Today I get home and the modem is dead. No internet again. I am trying to call. I have been on hold for 15 minutes listening to a recorded message telling me that their response times have been further delayed by responses to another great offer. I will be cancelling if they ever answer.
The BB deal seemed too good to be true. It is.
Deceptive Marketing and Inept billing. Rock Bottom Customer dis-service – Signed up with these fraudsters as already a BB customer and shareholder. Am considering closing accounts on the strength of my experience so far. For 2 months after NBN connection they did not bill, but I was still paying for my existing service. When I queried, the CSR assured me that I wouldnt be billed for that period as already paying via… Read more
another provider. Then I got their bill, not only did they hit me up for the previous months there was a $330 FTTN connection fee which is apparently if no existing active phone connection. In my case there was definitely a working phone line before BBT turned up. This little gem is buried deep in their critical Information Summary which is only accessed via a small link. When I finally got hold of them after an hour on hold, They shifted the blame onto me by saying It was my responsibility to arrange disconnection of existing service. At no time prior to activation did they advise this.
Do not sign up they are deceptive, misleading and inept. Will shift blame onto the customer and NBN for their own failings to properly inform.

Worst Telco in Australia – On Friday last week our internet with bendigo bank disconnected, so I rang customer support hoping to get the internet reconnected for the weekend but was greeted by an automated machine telling me to call within business hours. OnSaturday I had work and was unable to ring customer service till lunch time during my break, when I rang the telco… Read more
again I was told to ring within business hours, so I looked up bendigo banks business hours and realised that I wouldn't be able to call till Monday. Apparently bendigo banks 'customer service' team don't exist on weekends. So while the internet was out all weekend I had to take a trip to the local McDonald's as I am a student and needed internet to study. Not only is this ridiculous but I am paying for a service which bendigo bank can't supply. On Monday I tried to call customer support back to get internet connected so I could find another provider but as I work 7-6 had to call while I was at work. I was told that I needed to be near the modem for them to do anything about reconnecting the internet and was told to call before 8. I called at 7 and was told to call back during business hours (daylight savings hours). When I got home I got an email from BBT and received a bill over for $350 with no other information then being told it was excess charges. I'm currently on an unlimited plan with an existing line! How is this possible when I am supposed to be paying $70 a month. I will be calling bendgio bank tomorrow to cancel my plan. We wanted to support an Aussie technical support call centre but that's difficult to do when they are never available. Do yourself a favour and don't choose this telco !!!
Never again with major regrets – I'm on the 1gb smart plan and since the start they have been unreliable and terrible. They took almost a month for the sim to come and an additional week to set it up! The data wasn’t even working so i had to pay for a month without even using anything. They have charged me double (on two separate cycles) for no absolute reason with no text or… Read more
