WARNING not fit for purpose – Went to store to purchase a sealy. [Name Removed] served us and talked me into spending more and purchasing a bond & Markham as it would be much better for my back (half price at $3.700). massage and Pilates over the months and all have concluded it’s because of the mattress. I don’t get the pain when sleeping on the floor, my old mattress (now in the guest room), the couch or a fold up bed.

I’ve been in touch with [Name Removed] several times since the purchase but he has been unable to help and won’t accept a return of the mattress. I have tried to sell it at a large discounted price so I can purchase another but have been unable to sell it. I massively regret the purchase and would never shop at Bevmarks again. I’m considering just throwing it out, but really can’t afford to spend that much again to buy a suitable mattress.

to answer all my questions in detail, and to him no question was too silly. Mick was so wonderful, he even took the time to show us bedroom suites, even though we didn’t really know what we wanted/liked. We ended up leaving the store after purchasing our mattress to have a think about the bedroom suite. An hour later we returned to see Mick again as we had made up our minds. He was once again extremely patient, courteous, and friendly. We bought the bedroom suite we fell in love with and Mick was able to organise the delivery and ensure everything would arrive when we needed it. We left the shop feeling very confident about our purchase. I would highly recommend Bev Marks in Northland and especially Mick. I will be sending anyone that asks for a recommendation his way, and will definitely be visiting in the future when we need something to add to our home. Thank you so much Mick!

explained to me that the bed was made up of two parts.

Following delivery, I called the Northland store and spoke to the store manager to rectify the situation. I ws surprised by their indifference and lack of caring and customer service. In fact, the manager told we it was my responsibility to be knowledgeable about the product information relating to the mattress i was purchasing. It was not his or his staffs responsibility to inform me fully about my purchase. I do believe, that a feature such as the mattress is in two parts is important enough to be a key feature that any salesperson would inform a prospective buyer of. Further to this he did not offer any solution and told me i got what I ordered - and that was that. He also refused to give me any other contact people/numbers so i could speak to in Bev Marks as i was not satisfied with this outcome.

After a little time on the internet, I was able to make contact with the Regional manager, Mario, who's responsibility included the Northland store. What a delight. Mario could not have been more customer focused, professional and helpful with my situation. He was able to source the mattress i wanted and told me that it would be delivered in 3 months. True to his word, I received the correct mattress within this time frame and am very happy. Mario's excellent customer service was greatly appreciated.

Advice wasn't great – We purchased a bed frame and new mattress from Bev Marks Preston. We wanted some very minor adjustments to the frame which we were initially told were not possible despite the bed being manufactured (we were told) in Thomastown. almost impossible to make the bed due to the weight. We are fit adults and I can't see how an older person could possible manage this mattress. Making the bed is a workout that results in bruised hands. Would have appreciated the staff flagging the mattress weight to us when we made our choice. Overall, customer service was minimal. Other stores provided better service but unfortunately not the bed frame we wanted.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE – I ordered a bed in November 2020 and was promised delivery by Xmas. This was not delivered until February 2021. Bev Marks blamed the supplier and were very apathetic and weren't interested in following up delay. frustration, I finally dealt directly with supplier who looked at the bed and were shocked how the bed was installed stated that they always have problems with Bev Marks.

Bev Marks Northland after sales service was very poor and I would not visit this store every again.

The worst delivery service ever! – They called us on Thursday to tell the mattress would be arriving next day. Friday morning call us again, seeing the mattress was not place on the truck to be delivered, then apparently fixed the issue. Call us again after 1 h and confirm they have multiple people with same surname so warehouse didn't check full order with the name attached..... dipping from other retailers which was a huge concern. We were recommended the Renaissance for durability and support. The whole spring system was explained to us and made lots of sense. We went on to ask about pillows and we even purchased the best pillows from him. We couldn't be happier with our purchase, experience and service.
