Beyond Bank says in their splurb that they're about 'Exceeding Your Expectations' and 'Going Above & Beyond' for their customers. I tend to disagree; let me explain... acceptable, however once the 15 minutes are up, I'm told yet again that there's a waiting time of 15 minutes, and so on.....after an hour+ of waiting on the phone, I'm still told there's a waiting time of 15 minutes! I think this attitude of Beyond Bank is insensitive (if not cruel) towards their customers.
Further to this complaint, there is a risk on my end when opting to receive a call-back service from Beyond Bank, ie. I have no way of proving the identity of the caller, who proceeds to request every item of security from me, short of what's the contents of my deceased mother's handbag!
Is this caller, who only provides their first-name, a [Content Removed]?
How can one prove the caller is not a [Content Removed] with [Content Removed] intent?

they were notified prior to departure to allow my card use overseas. The service was not quick luckily we had some cash to last the 3 days without card access. Recently I paid for another trip overseas and after declining my transaction 4-5 using my Visa, contacted the hotel to pay direct. Nearly 1 month later and funds out of my account the Hotel hadn't received my payment! All because I paid in Australian dollars and spelt the street address with a not e. I requested the funds be returned and made a formal complaint with AFCA. Totally disgusted with the service monies came back less the astromical service fees. Looking for another bank
Follow-up · Absolutely appalling, after my original review and contact made NOTHING more until I contacted AFCA, BBA ha e shown no remorse for the embarrassing and extremely frustrating position I was put in not to mention the heartbreak this caused my grandchildren. This transaction was a Christmas gift. Will be waiting on AFCA in hope that a amicable outcome is reached At this point I Wouldn't recommend this bank and services to anyone

everything we need. Phone call the next day, we need this, back to branch, 3 times in a week for extra items. Made a complaint over the phone, assured there was only 1 more document needed and could send via Internet Banking secure message, which I did. Now I receive a message saying they can't accept via Secure Message. I was at the branch location yesterday, could have brought it in, but had been told I could use Secure Message. Now document I have obtained (from a Doctor with their stamp) is not good enough. Every time I provide what they ask the goal posts move. I have no confidence left in their ability to manage accounts, and importantly people's money. As soon as I have my father sorted I will be moving my banking after 40 years of membership.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE – Went to beyond bank belconnen today with my disabled elderly father to transfer money. There was 4 staff members and we had to see all 4 of them before someone could help with a simple transcation. This took at least 45minutes. Subsequent online complaints (which take 3 working days minimum to respond) revealed that the problem (which they call an inconvenience to legitimate customers!) is due to their 'security algorithm' which they proudly boast has nothing to do with staff. So if you want to deal with a so called bank that seems to have no stable or viable online system, has staff that have no autonomy and has its operations governed by a mystery algorithm devised by some IT nerd that finds legitimate customer's needs an inconvenience - by all means put your money with them.
