Just keeps going downhill these days
I've been with this bank for at least 25 years or more, but since it became Beyond Bank, it's sort of changed and not for the better. Today I discovered that it cannot even accurately record the correct date of the last transaction for one of my payees, but shows as the date of the last payment, a date that doesn't appear on the full list of ALL transactions. And I discovered this when I went looking for a scheduled transfer I set up last week, but I could find no scheduled transfer listing on the site, and although the SCHEDULE PAYMENT option ...is clearly shown, there isn't any facility for us to actually VIEW such scheduled payments. That, apparently, is only available for BPay payments, not transfers. So I call the bank to find out what is going on - both with scheduling payments, and the inaccurate transaction records. After holding on for 10 minutes or more, I got a chap called Renee. Two minutes into the conversation, he just hung up on me. Do you think I am feeling disposed to ring again, and hang on for another 10 minutes or more? Nah. I'm sort of fast reaching the conclusion that Beyond Bank is no longer worth the effort.

Had a very good experience dealing with this bank. Great Car loan rate of Interest and very clear in terms of terms and conditions and constraints.. Loan was done smoothly without any issues and settlement of the loan was done same day. Dealer was shocked to see that payment being made same day within minutes.. Highly recommended. Security and customer service is a joke
I transferred a small amount to verify Osko would work for a transaction, and then tried to do the full amount. BB blocked my account and I had to wait until the next business day to get access again, which can be a long wait for a weekend. If they are going to do this, offer after hours support or offer some means to verify the transaction, possibly from another device, but a full lockout with no explanation !?
Took me 3 attempts to contact customer support on said business day to resolve the issue after long winded phone support and call backs.

Signed up with this company, you cant login. You'll follow all their cues around trying to reset your password because the one they gave you wont work, and you cant even do that.

Car Loan Ordeal - Big Regrets
After lodging a car loan through Beyond Bank, it is instant regrets. We were initially attracted to their low interest rate of 5.49% p.a (5.73% comparison), however, that is obviously all talk and no action - we had all of the documents ready from the dealership, deposit paid, and we knew to be in a good standing financially, hence why we booked the car in prior to getting finance. We were quite happy with the initial setup of the loan to obtain a pre-approval, although that's when things started getting worse and the whole deal went down the d...rain. After waiting days to hear back from the "assessors", we were greeted with further conditions to the pre-approval. After running through the nitty-gritty details and verifying the conditions on our end, it was yet again sent to the assessors who again took almost a whole week to get back to us - this is starting to seriously drag out as long as it possibly can. They come back with further conditions such as employment checks, despite providing all of our bank statements, ATO documents, all of our personal ID (Medicare, License). After this whole ordeal, we were advised that despite being advised our application was strong multiple times, during the initiation of the application up until mid-way - where things just turned for the worst and we were advised that our application was not looking good. With all these impossible conditions, it seriously makes lending impossible through this company. Whether you have a clear savings record, clean credit history, healthy upfront deposit (35%), they still do not care and can only see the benefit it will bring to the company. After spending over a week back and forth (over 35 emails and multiple phone calls), we ended up having to cancel our application and decided to not move forward as we receive further conditions which literally gave us no chance what so ever - quite ridiculous if you ask me. We initially had a good experience with the application as well as our assigned agent, however, it turned bad and the agent started to get very passive-aggressive with me as he possibly had wasted time on this and maybe doesn't get a kick back/commission now that the loan hasn't gone through? Who knows, it's frustrating for us all, especially when we're going around in circles like a headless chook. We ended up getting finance elsewhere, all of the documents were submitted at one go, assessed and approved all within 24 hours - we are now up to the final stages, and 48 hours later, it looks like our loan has been approved. Despite having all of my documents ready for Beyond Bank, we got no where in over a week (7 business days + Sat + Sun), instead we ran around in circles. I definitely would not consider this bank in the future whether it be as a lender or as my financial institution. Waste of time, effort and definitely a waste of mental capacity.
Unfortunately my bank couldn't offer a competitive package for a car loan. After several weeks of researching I ended up going with Beyondbank. 1.5 years later and I've paid it all off. From start to finish my experience has been a painless process. Pleasant and professional!
THE BEST BANK I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH !!!
I came across Beyond Bank about 4 years ago when I was looking for an SMSF property loan. At the time they were one of the few banks that still offered SMSF products. The transaction went smoothly and I always dealt directly with a dedicated customer service officer.
A couple of years later when I was looking to refinance some other loans I went initially to some of the bigger banks. I did not get anywhere with them, they were just transacting and not attentive to my financial needs.
I then thought I'd reach out to Beyond Bank. Honestly, I wo...uld rarely find myself complementing a bank but through every single transaction and ongoing communications with Beyond Bank, they have ALWAYS been professional, understanding and helpful. I actually feel that they care about my financial success. I HIGHLY recommend them. I know they don't have branches in the big metro areas so perhaps they may not be suitable if you need a branch, but I don't think I've been inside a bank branch in years - I do everything online. If you are after a bank that cares and listens, I recommend you give Beyond Bank a go.
Great personalised service not available through the big banks
I dealt with a person on the phone for a car loan and all I can say is the rates were fantastic and the person went above and beyond to ensure I had the car within a matter of days. Awesome and easy to use online banking system as well.
Always receive great service
Went from one of the big banks to Beyond Bank two years ago and have been very happy with both service and rates. Customer phone service is always efficient and helpful.
