I bought my Dragon Cyclone Pro and have been really happy with it. The team took the time to answer my questions and made sure I understood how everything worked before I left. The scooter has been reliable and comfortable to ride since then. Overall, it was a great purchase and a positive experience.

Bike scooter city in Brisbane had held on to my sons order for almost months because they think hes fraud. Just because his order is getting sent to his friends house we're he is replacing what he broke on her scooter, he paid online $136 and for almost 2 months and endless emails they asked for his id and selfie of him and the friend, asking if… Read more

they know eachother even though my son has send in the bank transaction if the purchas and the invoice and everything. Funny thing is no one will let me speak to a manager lol and no one in that shop answers their phones and are not willing to take a call or make a call, rather go back and forth through email. Its beyond ridiculous what yous have done to my son and sadly my 16 year old son works 2 days a week and all his hard working money went on to that purchase which he had to save for to buy and you can't even do youe job right and send the dam product he paid for.. this makes my blood boil so much....

Purchased 3 Dragon Scooters prior to Christmas. Dragon Slayer deck cracked where mounted to handle bar. Advised Bike Scooter City of details including where my son had ridden it and asked whether it would be covered under warranty, advised to send back for assessment. That process took forever as you cannot contact them via phone as they never… Read more

answer, just goes to a message bank and they do not ring you back more often than not. Paid the freight to send it back, took them approx 3.5 weeks to access and then they sent us a quote for repair, after backwards and forwarding emails asking them why it was not covered under warranty they sent us a photo of the deck. We advised that yes this was the reason we sent it there for repair and asked why it had occurred, could not answer. Finally came back to us and old us it was not covered as our son had ridden it on grass in our yard and claimed this was Offroad and as per their terms we had voided warranty. We told them that we did not accept the quote and we would repair the Scooter ourselves, had to purchase the parts and they charged us $110 for an assessment fee. Biggest waist of time and money. Extremely poor Customer Service, will not buy from them again.

I rarely leave reviews, but after 5+ weeks dealing with Bike Scooter City, people need to know exactly what this experience has been like. I purchased parts for my 2024 Dragon Predator Gen 3 scooter and clearly provided the model details before ordering. Despite that, they sent incorrect parts from the start — including controllers with… Read more

completely different wiring and an incompatible display.

What followed was an exhausting, never-ending cycle. I was repeatedly asked for photos and videos, which I provided multiple times, only to be asked for the exact same things again days later. Every response was “waiting for the team” or “we’ll check with the technician,” followed by long delays and no actual outcome.

From the very beginning, they avoided taking any accountability. At no point did they acknowledge sending the wrong parts or offer a clear solution. There was always an excuse — either needing more evidence, waiting on someone else, or shifting the issue elsewhere.

They even initially expected me to pay for return shipping — despite the fact they sent the wrong parts. That alone says everything about how they handle mistakes.

I made multiple attempts to speak with a manager or supervisor. I was asked several times for my phone number, which I provided repeatedly, and was told I would receive a call back — but to this day, I have never actually spoken to anyone from their team.

The only phone contact I had was through their hotline, which appears to be handled by an international call centre. Communication was extremely difficult, I had to repeat myself multiple times, and I was promised a call-back within 10–15 minutes that never happened.

Eventually, they sent “replacement” parts — which again were not correct for my scooter. The controllers appear to be for a different model, and while they partially power the scooter, the system is still not functioning properly. The display is incompatible — I cannot access settings, and only limited functions work. I asked multiple times for a manual or guidance and was completely ignored.

Instead of resolving the issue, they began shifting blame, even suggesting the scooter itself may be faulty — despite the fact it was originally purchased through them and worked prior to installing their parts.

Throughout this entire process, every step has involved delays, deflection, and going in circles. They continuously ask for more information instead of actually fixing the problem.

This has cost me:

- Over 5 weeks without my main transport to work - Ongoing public transport expenses - Hours of my time during work taking photos, videos, and replying to emails - Constant frustration dealing with a process that never moves forward

I’ve now had to escalate this through Consumer Affairs and a bank chargeback just to try and get my money back.

If you’re considering buying from this business, be aware — if something goes wrong, you may be left chasing them for weeks with no resolution, no accountability, and no support.

This has easily been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.

I ordered an expensive 42v Segway charger from Bike Scooter City and received a cheap aftermarket charger. I requested a refund because the item wasn't as described and was told that I would be charged restocking fees for a "change of mind" return. I had an extensive email exchange with someone called Mark where I received unhelpful replies like… Read more

"Please re-read the description. We have indicated - Suitable for - SEGWAY e-scooter with 36v systems" as if this is meant to indicate the item is aftermarket. In fact, the only mention of the word aftermarket in the product description was "The use of aftermarket chargers, or incorrect voltage rating will damage your e-scooter battery and will cause fires and explosions" which strongly implies the product is not aftermarket.

I eventually looked at the product reviews and discovered that Bike Scooter City had received the exact same complaint two years ago, so they had been aware of the issue for a long time. Furthermore, Bike Scooter City was running a sponsored Google ad titled “42V Original Segway Charger” with a photo of an original Segway charger. I told Mark about the misleading advertisement and, again, did not receive any assistance.

In summary, at first I was a disappointed that I paid for an original part and got a cheap aftermarket part. However, it became apparent that Bike Scooter City was knowingly engaging in misleading sales tactics and had been made aware of this two years ago.

What a great service. My Dragon Cruiser rides great. I had a few assembly issues, but they sorted everything out quickly when I called and I'm loving riding it now. I’ll definitely keep purchasing again for my kid once he’s at the right age to ride.

I’d been stalking e-scooters for months trying to figure out which one wouldn’t fall apart after two weeks, and I finally ordered from BSC. Zero regrets. Shipping was quick and everything arrived secure and neatly packed. Setting it up was easy, and the quality? Chef’s kiss. I’ve been finding excuses to leave the house just to ride it.

Paid $260 for a repair that left my scooter worse than before - still no resolution weeks later. Scooter held hostage, no contact from management. I brought my Segway Ninebot Max G2 into BSC (Sumner) for a rear tyre replacement and service. I paid approximately $260, dropped it off on a Thursday, and was told it would be ready to collect on… Read more

Monday.

While it was in their care, I was contacted and told that a cable near the rear tyre had been damaged and that the damage was pre-existing. I strongly disputed this. There was no visible damage in that area when I dropped it off, and there is now clearly visible damage near the repair site. I advised them that if the scooter was operating normally, I would collect it as planned and not authorise the extra ~$150 repair. I was assured it was fine.

It was not fine. Within minutes of getting it home and riding it, the scooter was producing an extremely loud grinding noise comparable to a motorbike and had a dramatic loss of power. It was completely unusable for my daily commute.

I tried calling the repair line and it goes straight to voicemail. I emailed with a video, ignored for days. So just dropped the scooter back in so they could witness the issue themselves, and asked for a clear timeframe. They assured me they would look into it urgently. No response for a week.

Then, after following up again, was told "to fix the cable it will be ~$150". Which is extremely interesting, considering I did not ask for the cable to be repaired, but them to investigate why all of a sudden there is performance issues and grinding noise.

Turns out that this 'damage' could only have happened during their repair, as there was clearly no performance issues or grinding prior.

When I asked to escalate and have a manager contact me about this situation, I was told "let me see what I can do." Nothing happened.

Over the following weeks I made multiple escalation requests, both by email and calls. Not one of them was able to help, and worryingly, the in-store staff had communicated they had no visibility of my email communications at all, meaning nothing I raised through one channel was being seen or acted on through the other. Every request was either ignored, deflected, or met with a response from someone who had no authority to act.

The worst experience has been dealing with [Name Removed], who handles the repair@bikescootercity.com.au inbox. Despite me asking more than three times to have my complaint escalated to a manager, he repeatedly ignored the request entirely and continued responding as if it had not been made. I eventually had to directly call out that he was ignoring my escalation requests and that he was clearly not in a position to help me, before asking him point blank to have his manager read the emails and call me. His entire reply was: "Noted."

My scooter has now been with them for weeks. I paid $260 for a repair that left it in a worse condition than when I brought it in, I have been without my commuter vehicle this entire time, and not a single manager has had the courtesy to call me.

This business has demonstrated a complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic customer care. I would not recommend them to anyone. :(

DO NOT BUY A SCOOTER FROM BSC - YOU WILL REGRET IT For disclosure I am currently undertaking a QCAT case against BSC in regard to the way they have lied and charged me for work that wasn't necessary. ask them to look into it. This was October 2025.

5 weeks later with no communication they sent me a notification that I would be charged $255 to fix it, this included a service fee, new mudguards and a brake service. I thought this was pretty reasonable but surprised that the battery was okay as that was the obvious culprit causing the issues.

When I picked it up and took it home, I was excited to use the scooter again, but it immediately failed again, this time after an even shorter distance (probably 500m)

I took it back to Sumner (40 mins drive) and explained what had happened. The promised to look into it within a week as it had already been 6 weeks since it was first taken in.

I heard nothing until 6 weeks later when I got a message that it was fixed and ready for collection (mentioning if I failed to collect within 7 days, I would be charged $100 a week storage fees).

I was sceptical and emailed their customer services asking whether it was really fixed and whether the battery was ok (BTW they never pick up the phone). I heard nothing back.

Worried about being charged for storage I picked it up, but this time tried it before I went home. It was still broken. I took it back into the store and asked them what was going on. They promised to look at it.

I then got a call from the service technician who was complaining about being tired but that he would look at the battery and get back to me within an hour. There was no phone call back.

They then sent through a service request for $755 to replace the battery, no call, no explanation. This would mean it would have cost $1,100 to fix a 5 year old scooter. There is no way it was worth it.

I asked them to consider knocking off the labour charges to make it a bit more palatable but all I got was vitriol.

They blamed me for rushing them, wanting to jump to the front of the queue and not giving them time to diagnose the fault. And that it was my fault for not realising the battery would have been shot - like I am the service technician who knows anything about batteries.

I finally collected my dead scooter as I was getting nowhere so I opened a case with the OFT, they flat out lied to the compliance officer saying they offered to do the battery for $500 and that I never mentioned the battery was the issue and that 5 years is industry expectations for a scooter battery which it probably is.

The gist of my complaint is that if they had done the service properly in the first place, they would have known it was the battery I would have said no that it is too much to pay for an old scooter and I would have saved all this unnecessary travelling to and from Sumner and wasted time and not to mention $255 on worthless replacement parts for a scooter which is sadly never going to run again.

Ordered a scooter and within a day they reached out for some identification checks due to the payment methods and name it was ordered under being different, when we called the number they were very helpful and told us what we needed. After that the scooter arrived in 2 days on Christmas Eve, very impressed with the shipping even during the Christmas rush. Product works as expected and hasn't had any issues so far.

I purchased a Makuta 10 Plus from Bike Scooter City on 13 November. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. Upon test riding it at collection, there were… Read more

still ongoing issues, which I raised immediately with staff and asked to be properly fixed.

Despite being told the scooter has now been repaired, the issues continue.

The biggest concern is that the scooter is not performing as advertised. The Makuta 10 Plus is advertised as having a range of up to 75km in Eco mode, which was the main reason I purchased it. In reality, I can only achieve around 30kmbefore the battery dies. This is a significant difference and not acceptable.

Under Australian Consumer Law, a product must be as described and fit for purpose. This scooter clearly does not meet those standards, especially given the ongoing issues and the need for repairs almost immediately after purchase.

I am currently seeking a refund or replacement, but I feel it’s important to warn other customers to be cautious and aware of my experience before purchasing.
