the time I also purchased additional cover for another 3 years on top of the manufacturers warranty. Little did I know how cr#p a service they would provide when it comes to trying to get a fix or replacement. I assumed they be seamless like other competitors Good Guys? NOPE!
On 19 April I emailed asking how to have my Sebo looked at because it wasn't working. It's literally only 2 years and 2 months old since I purchased it. The only fast service I got during this saga was the claim was lodged the same day. I then chased it up and on 21 April I was told I could chase it up with warranty company, see photo.
By the 23 April, I'm still having to deal with the warranty company where they've sent me instructions to mail the machine to them but it can't exceed over 105cm. I call them and ask how is it possible to send a vacuum machine in a package of only that dimension? I'm told to that Bing Lee should have sorted this out. I go back to Bing Lee. I ring and leave a message - the woman tells me they'll call me back. No call back by next day. So I emailed saying I'm driving the machine over for them to deal with. I don't care at this stage whether they think it's their responsibility or not. They can send it as per the warranty company instructions.
I get the machine to them on 24 April. I asked to speak to the manager in person, I tell him about how I'm not happy with their lack of service (end to end handling of this given I purchased the Backup Plan). He smiles and listens and tells me they'll look after things now.
I then hear nothing until 12 May from The Warranty Group (TWG). At that stage I'd never even heard of them. I thought their email was spam until I realised the claim number was the same as what Marks Electronics had listed. The communication said the claim assessment is complete and has been sent back to Bing Lee.
I wait 2 days. Nothing. So I again ring and chase Bing Lee. They've never seen the email, so I forward it to them asking what it means.
That was 2 days ago, I'm still dealing with not having a vacuum cleaner despite the Backup Plan.
Not once has BingLee offered me a replacement machine whilst I am unable to have mine. This is actually stated in their Backup Plan under LOAN PRODUCT. Not once have they been proactive in this process that has involved 2 other warranty / insurance companies (Marks Electronics Support in VIC; then The Warranty Group TWG) that I've had to deal with. Even now, I'm told I now have to deal with TWG because they won't credit back the funds it cost me to purchase this machine and they can't replace it as they no longer stock Sebo.
When stating that this is ridiculous and I want it escalated to higher level of mgmt to make a sound customer focused solution, I got offered an email address. Not happy with that, I demand I speak to a Manager. I get Ken who gets on the phone. He was also as abrupt and unapologetic about their lack of customer care - he would ONLY give me a Gift Card or a Credit because Bing Lee Carlingford can't replace the machine as I request or give me back my money onto my account. Their policy doesn't allow it! Policy is there to guide not to be the absolute. Who makes decisions in that place?!
Why would I want to buy anything expensive from them ever again when they can't even deal with me on the first purchases this is about?
So other customers ... think TWICE about buying anything from Bing Lee Carlingford and their ridiculously delivered Backup Plan. It's a load of @@$$%%% and the way they treat customers is one of the worst I've seen for high end white goods. I certainly won't be looking at returning.
Why did none of the staff tell me from the store at the time of purchase with the Backup Plan that they wouldn't be able to honour their backup plan if I wanted the same brand of vacuum cleaner? That there would be difficulties that they couldn't honour the intention behind a Backup Plan.
I am currently still without a vacuum cleaner almost a month on AND having to deal with TWG trying to get them to return me my money.

defective and unsanitary product, Bing Lee relied on a generic service report from LG that blamed "harsh chemicals." This is an absolute joke. The external "Start" button is bubbling and peeling off detergent doesn't touch the outside of the machine! It is clear Bing Lee would rather hide behind manufacturer paperwork than uphold the "Acceptable Quality" guarantee under Australian Consumer Law. I even had to take this to a tribunal, and they used this generic report to block a refund for a machine that is literally falling apart. If you buy from Bing Lee, don't expect any "family business" service if your product is a lemon. They will take your money and then leave you with a health hazard. Avoid. Pros: None. Cons: Zero support for faulty products, hides behind manufacturer excuses, poor customer care.

because it is expected to be only needed for the next year or so. But still, it's a great dishwasher. We instructed Bing Lee to ensure the dishwasher be brought up the steps as our house is a fair climb to the second level kitchen and needs a cart. We also requested that the old dishwasher be removed. This was fine with sales and no extra charge was made. I expected the worst however, and of course being Bing Lee the driver refused to take the new machine from the ground level up the steps. He also refused to take away the old one, even though the Delivery Instruction sheet clearly stated this to be done. My partner phoned the driver who made up some excuse and said he'd be back in the next few days. Nonsense of course. So my partner telephoned the store in Carlingford and spoke to the sales person who was quite disappointed by this scenario. So he and a worker drove over to our house within the hour (Pymble) and brought the new unit upstairs and took away the old machine.
So a great experience from Bing Lee Carlingford. We will be using this particular branch from now on regardless if we ever purchase a large machine that is not handled directly by the brand, which actually is unlikely due to the horrible experience with the official Bing Lee carriers. Bing Lee asked for reference number from Manufacturer. Called the manufacturer Philips and asked them. And they apologised for all the trouble i had.
And guess what there was no reference number requirement. Philips replacing as the product is in Warrantly and its faulty Motor and loose screw , which they already know.
More than support, its basic commication sense and behaviour to communicate with customers, and they definitely lack this skill.
Never going back to Bing Lee.

After a month of countless emails and phone calls with both Bing Lee and LG, LG finally issued a case number for a refund to be processed through Bing Lee. However, Bing Lee’s store team and customer care team kept passing responsibility between each other for days.
Eventually, Bing Lee’s customer care team (not the store) offered me a replacement unit or store credit. I declined, requesting a full refund to my bank account instead, as I no longer wish to deal with Bing Lee. They confirmed in writing that the refund would be processed within 3–5 business days.
On the fifth business day, I followed up, only to be told the cash refund would take another 7 business days. Two days after, I received a phone call saying part of the refund would be issued as partially gift card due to “miscommunication” between Bing Lee teams — which is useless to me since I will never shop at Bing Lee again.
This entire experience shows chaotic management, poor communication, and a complete lack of accountability across the Bing Lee organisation. It’s extremely disappointing and reflects very poorly on their customer service and brand integrity.
I will be filing a formal complaint with the ACCC, and will take this $201 loss as a reminder never to shop at Bing Lee again.

After finally buying the oven I had to ask when we could pick it up or get it delivered only for her to tell us that it would take 6 weeks. I regret not getting a refund at this point. We picked up the oven and hired an electrician to install it and the oven wasn’t working. It’s a fan forced oven and the fan wasn’t moving. We were told that it would take a week for someone to come and look at it and fix it. It’s absurd to fix a brand new, unused oven so we asked for a replacement instead. We were told we’d have to get someone to disconnect it and then we’d have to bring it in store and pick up a new one. We’ve had to pay the electrician again to remove the oven and dealing with the store has been very frustrating as they don’t seem to appreciate that we are out of pocket for a faulty product! I was so frustrated by this process that I asked for a refund instead of a replacement and now I have to wait until the oven is at the warehouse and then up to 5 days afterwards in order to get my refund which is ridiculous. The refund process should be much more streamlined - waiting so long for over $1000 to be refunded has placed a lot of stress on my finances as I still need to buy a new oven and I am very unhappy with Bing Lee and how this situation has been handled. Delivery left TV on the street – Bing Lee are a bunch of crooks. Friday 15 Nov, I had a TV delivery to Rhodes, brought from Burwood the day before, and the delivery guys refused to go through the basement delivery entrance. They basically left the TV on the street by the multi-stories apartment entrance. I had to beg random strangers to help to get it into my home. I would never buy from Bing Lee again, they are unprofessional scums.
