Bosch DWW097A50A Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: DWW097A50AAfter using this hood for 4 years, the inside of the fan Motor is full of oil. I did clean the filters regularly, but the oil from the motor keeps dripping down all the time. Please let me know how to clean the motor.
Hi ProductReviewe(ers), I’m considering this model as a replacement for my barely working old wall-mounted range hood. My questions are about: 1. longevity - how long has yours lasted? 2. installation (plus removal of old item & fixing up wall paint etc) costs - can you remember roughly what you paid? I need to factor into my budget to see if I can afford to replace it. Thank you.

We have a bosch rangehood DWB091E51A which works really well. Our query is in regard to cleaning the filters which because they don't disassemble, is pretty much impossible. Does anyone have any advice on how to resolve this?
Sit them in boiling water and dish detergent for 20mins, swish around then rinse.
I will assume that your filters are removable for cleaning. If so, a friend told that you remove them, soak them in sugar soap solution and then wash with hot water. I have not tried this - my filters can be cleaned concentrated dishwashing liquid and hot water. Cheers
purchased bosch dhl895cau series 8 86cm intergrated rangehood but the little green light near boost option wont go off have cleaned turned power on off can you help?

what problem did you have with the rangehood that was replaced? I am going through a difficult time with it at the moment/ The rangehood does not have much suction. The instruction manual says that it should have 810M3/h suction.
The rangehood that was replaced has a DC motor and was fitted in our one storey house with ducting going through the roof. When we use it, if there are lots of fumes from cooking, we use the P button to do the extraction and then go back to the 1,2 or 3 speed buttons to normal operations. Using this technique, we had had no problems with extraction in a single storey house.
thank you so much for your reply. ours is a different problem i think. bosch sent an technician out almost a week ago, but no further information on what was wrong with it.
