as expected mostly
good dryer if straight out of the washer into the dryer, so so if you want to finish off from the line.
does not handle at home dry cleaning sheets very well.

We have only had this heat pump dryer for a couple of weeks, however to date I am so much happier with this model compared to our previous condenser which never dried clothes.
I tend to change the dryness levels to cupboard dry plus which dries clothes.
With sheets, I give them a shake approximately half way through a drying cycle and found dryer balls help to stop the sheets from rolling up into a ball.

Dries towels & Shirts fine but.....
Dries towels & Shirts fine but when it comes to sheets and quilts the dryer/pump rolls the items up in a ball, every 10 minutes you need to open the door un ravel the item re load it and on we go, this is so ridiculous.

I have used this dryer three times over two days since it was delivered. The first load was dryish but unlike my old Fisher Paykel wasn't hot to touch.
I was concerned reading that some people had mentioned they had drying issues, I feared I was experiencing the same. I was drying jeans, a few shirts and a few towels on the mixed load cycle (cupboard setting), just the jeans seemed cold (dryish but cold).
I noticed that when I tried to start a 40mins cycle it would only run for about 5 mins and would turn off thinking it was dry. I think the ...

Pretty Good Dryer
I was a bit concerned initially buying this dryer as there were numerous bad reviews. But saw this dryer at a good price (Appliances Online) and pulled the trigger.
My previous dryer was a 20 year old Hoover. So far after 2 weeks this dryer has been great, have used it everyday and haven't had any issues with items being damp or it taking extensive time to dry items as reported in other reviews. Initially it gives a dry time of over 2hrs but this seems to reduce drastically.
The easy iron feature works well in that it rotates the clothes every couple of minutes after the cycle has finished so you don't get creased up clothes if they go cold in the dryer.
Overall it's pretty good dryer.

I have a keen eye for good products. I seen mixed reviews on this product but i bit the bullet as i own aand love the series 8 washing machine. I regret wasting 1600 on a piece of ship. When my clothes dont dry during cold or rainy days, this dryer doesnt help. I can leave one baby overall in there for one hour and still wet. One time i had bed sheets just mostly dry just a little damp and still took 4 hours to fully dry.

I’m in the UK, I share the pain of the negative reviewers, worked fine for 3 years, over last 6 months we have had same problems. Am now switching product allegiance from Up market Bosch to low cost Beko based on great reviews in Which. And yes, an engineer came out, tested it on his computer and looked at me as if I was making it up cos his computer diagnostics said everything was working. He and my husband ganged up on me but now my husband has backed down after doing his own laundry.

Excellent dryer- bad child lock design
Bosch - well done. I love this dryer.
I use it every day. I love that I can plumb it into the drain. I use the the Mix” setting for clothing and ALWAYS have the Easy Iron 60 or 120 on. As it’s a heat pump dryer the easy iron keeps turning the clothing once the cycle is complete making sure they are dry.
Do not over fill the machine. Even though it’s a 9kg things come out too creased if you do.
My dryer sits on top of the washing machine so the bad design of the on off button which doesn’t get locked when the child lock is activated doesn’t cause a problem. But if you are planning on having the dryer low down with little kids - don’t. The child lock is VERY poorly designed.
After a previous review where our machine had never worked (picked up in Sept 2020) and clothes weren’t drying after hours of being inside the machine and smelling musty. I had thought it was normal as we had never had a heat pump dryer before but eventually we got in contact with Bosch who sent out a technician with a part. The part ordered wasn’t the one needed and actually discovered that the machine was only running 25% what it should be - the compressor wasn’t heating up properly. He recommended a replacement to Bosch who promptly informed...that we would be getting the latest model as they no longer made our one. It finally arrived today and we have already done 3 loads of washing in it and the clothes have come out completely dry! We are over the moon with this product now and are so glad we contacted Bosch. Will be buying again in the future! Our model says /09 which I assume refers to 9kg capacity.

Do Not buy
I simply cannot believe how bosch can be allowed to sell such a dodgy, worthless, expensive piece of garbage. Clothes don't dry, the sheets end up wet and tightly rolled up in a ball. It takes for ever for the lightest of clothes to dry. I ended up speaking to a lady in head office for Australia, and get this! I kid. You not,.she claims.that the clothes will come out damp!! And assures me they will dry !!! How pathetic..and what a cop out..she was meant to organise a refund as promised. But still waiting for her to sort it out...what a joke and ...a waste of money ..please if you have a family this dryer will not suit .Bosch your the most worst company I've ever experienced. I will continue to let people know what your all about with your crappy customer service. You guys are the LOWEST!

Excellent until it breaks
The dryer was working very well, without issue. But two weeks ago the dryer displayed an error and stopped working. (It’s not even 8 months old.) We immediately reported to Bosch via Appliances Online. We have had a call from the third party technician, but they are still waiting for parts and the latest estimate is that it will be a further two weeks. That will make it about a month of waiting for what appears to be a known problem in this very expensive machine (since they know what parts to order).

Waste of money
Leaving clothes staying damp . We have to do it 2-3 times to make sure it dry . Not happy with it used before. Fisher & paykel condenser much better. I wish I can return it back .

Waste Of Money
I agree with most of these reviews. I bought the washing machine and dryer as a pair. The washing machine is complicated but washes well. My first encounter with the dryer ended up getting replaced - the first time I used it the drum made an awful sound like there were coins stuck in it. Bosch organised a technician to come out (third party, not them) who cancelled on the day. I ended up getting a new one. That whole experience was frustrating and time consuming. But the dryer.... seriously! Not only it is hard to work out all the options and ...buttons, but IT DOES NOT DRY THE CLOTHES! They are damp and even when I use the 20 min warm cycle they still do not come out dry. I will definitely be contacting Bosch and seeing how I can get a refund or a different machine.

Perfect for apartment living and our bathroom/laundry set up
I've always been a bit reluctant about using a dryer in Australia and do so mostly when we can't make use of the balcony in our apartment due to wet weather or high humidity.
The reason we purchased this dryer was because we have a pending arrival and expect a lot of washing and drying to take place in the first 6-12 months, which I'm doubtful will dry quick enough on a balcony in cooler months. And we've now had this dryer for a week, and even with the weather as warm as it has been in Sydney, it's been an absolute delight to have and use.
...It's a highly functional dryer, does what it should and with a myriad of drying options I feel so spoilt. It's beautifully designed, sturdy and stacks beautifully on top of the matching Bosch front loader we also purchased. Our clothes, sheets and towels come out beautifully fluffy and soft (much better than they did when using the communal unit block dryer - yuck!) and I'm really looking forward to giving this dryer a good run for its money once bub arrives. Very happy with this purchase (and so is hubby - he wants to use all the time!) and it's the perfect additional to our combined bathroom and laundry space in our apartment. It's especially fantastic as traditional dryers need ventilation outside. Heat pump dryers such as this one don't need a heat vent which is wonderful for us!

Very energy efficient, but work the settings to avoid wet laundry
We bought this dryer a few months ago. It is a marriage saver: the wife is happy not to have to hang most clothes out, and the husband is happy that the energy consumption is so low as to sometimes be undetectable.
A few notes:
- At 9kg, you would expect it could do a 9kg load of washing. Alas, that only works for one or two scenarios as most of the settings are designed for volumes much lower than 9kg. We tend to wash clothes in our 5kg top loader and then transfer most of them (some clothes are unsuitable for dryers) into the Bosch dryer an...

Questions & Answers
What is exact bottom depth of the dryer, please?
Is it possible that stack it on top of 3cm smaller washer?
when i stacked my itI used the intended stacking kit but it did appear to be a bit short (the washer) I put it on anyway the weight bears onto the washer fine and they is no evidance of an issue so I'd guess you are fine but don't worry to much about the dims of the washer or dryer its the feet that matter and where the fall that is important. (IMO)
Hi, can this dryer be stacked onto the 8kg front loader WAW28460AU. If so which stacking kit should be used?
Hi Sandeep V,
Thank you for your question. Yes our Series 8 dryer can be stacked on top of our 8kg front loader WAW28460AU. The stacking kit needs to be compatible to the dryer, therefore we would recommend our 'Stacking kit
