Bosch Solar Wizard Electric Boosted Solar Questions & Answers
Verifiedthere is a small amount of water leaking from the small valve/connector next to the electrical connection plate. This was a bit loose so I have tightened it up. Also there is no electric booster connection as we use gas. Should the electric connection cover be hot?
Is it possible to remove the frost free valves and still run the system?
I believe so but am not a technician so don't quote me. We still get a lot of condensation in the panels but all seems to be working atm.
Hi Samuel, thanks for your question. The frost valves fitted to the Bosch Solar Wizard system are there to protect the solar panels from frost damage. Bosch does not recommend removal of these valve as they are a safety device. We suggest that you get in touch with us at 1300 30 70 37 any time between 7:30AM and 6PM (AEDT) on a weekday if you have any further questions.
This system is 4 years old it has nearly completely rusted out when we contacted the supplier I asked them should it be under cover in other words should there be a roof over it they said no but I'm sure it should have a cover over it if it's only lasted 4 years and it's rusted out
I’ve have the same issue with a 4yr old Solar Wizard 400l hot water tank. Don’t worry about getting and straight answers from Bosch. They will do and say anything not to honour their warranty. Dealing with Bosch is like pulling your own teeth out
Hi Mike, thanks for your question. Please be advised that the Solar Wizard tank has a parts and labour warranty of three years and five years on the tank part only. As per our warranty conditions and based on the time since your unit’s installation, if there is an issue with the tank part itself, Bosch may cover the tank under warranty but labour is charged to the owner. We would recommend you send a few photos of your unit to hotwater.query@au.bosch.com. Please include your full name, suburb, date of purchase, and contact details.
