Waste water drawer won't come out – We had same issue with the water waste drawer getting stuck just out of warranty of course. I actually pulled it apart and sanded down the solonoid then put it back together. That was about 3 years ago and since then we have had no issues. This was however not a 5 minute job to dismantle so if you do this it will take a few hours to get to the… Read more

Fantastic Heat Pump dryer – Had bought the Bosch WTY887000AU in Dec. 2014. The current one Bosch sells seems to be almost the same as ours with very similar functions. Being a heat pump as well as evaporative dryer it is ideal for use in areas where it is not possible or difficult to pump hot air outside. What attracted us was the design of this dryer as well as the many… Read more ·  1

settings, including wool, delicates and down feather. The heat pump system makes it cheaper to run. The Bosch dryer had more settings than any of the other dryers in its price class at the time. We were lucky to get the Bosch WYT887000 on special, but would have bought it at its regular price as well. We are really happy with this dryer and can recommend it highly.

Good Dryer - energy efficient – Very happy with this dryer, it's quiet, dries well and doesn't steam up the laundry. My only critiques would be that it has quite a long cycle and for best results you need to use the hottest cycle. Apart from that it's pretty well set and forget. I'd buy again.  Show details ·  1

A slice of Bosch with your Gin&Tonic, sir? – I'd call this dryer a lemon, but that would be doing a disservice to lemons. At least lemons have some uses - in gin&tonic and meringue pie - to name a few. This dryer is only useful as a waste of space, money and energy. As others have reported, sheets, cotton doona covers and other items wrap in a ball within 10-15 minutes and spend their time… Read more

spinning as a wet clump.

If you feed items separately to give them a chance, they take forever to dry. Many drying options simply to do not dry in the allocated time. After 2-3 hours on a cycle, items are still half damp. I've resorted to using the "Easy-Care" (1 hr) then the "Warm 60 min" to get some decent outcome. Even then, after 2 hours items are not always dry and i have to run the Warm 60 cycle again or hang them in front of the heater. It's ridiculous.

Yesterday, for a change, i tried the so-called "Super Quick" cycle, an oxymoron if ever there was one. After 2 hours non-stop spinning, this "42 minute cycle" produced a tiny trickle of water when I emptied the condenser. And yes, the sheet wasn't even close to dry.

My mother-in-law's 15 year old F&P dries in 20-30 minutes and kills this Bosch for performance. Whatever "energy efficiency" claims made by Bosch, I'd love to see some real energy usage data comparing the two. Run this pigs breakfast of a machine for 3-4 hours to actually dry something versus 20-30 minutes and I reckon there'd be no comparison.

Just for balance, I have the front loader companion washing machine, and it's pretty good.

Simply appalling – This product arrived together with a matching washing machine that had wear marks and even water inside the machine - it clearly had been a demonstration model, was second hand, had no user manual, warranty card or information, no packaging. damp, even after running twice. They offered free installation but told us it was too hard and we had to then pay a plumber to install both machines. We have contacted Bosch in Australia and Germany SEVEN times and all they do is say someone will contact us. Their only contact is an email which asks our address and model numbers which we supplied to them at the outset. We have contacted Appliances Online TWICE but they have not responded whatsoever. It is them that supplied the second-hand goods which I believe is illegal. No doubt they will append an invitation to contact them again here but don't be fooled they simply do not respond and do not care. Our advice - avoid Bosch at all costs. Their product quality, performance and customer service are simply appalling. We are now off to Consumer Affairs to report Appliances Online.

Update: And still Bosch and Appliances Online refuse to speak with me. When I call them, they refuse any knowledge of this situation, say that the reference number that Bosch publishes here "MEANS ABSOLOUTELY NOTHING TO ME" and refuse to answer emails, even the ones to their social media address that they also instruct you to contact here. Appliances Online refuse to communicate whatsoever. It seems they are happy for their failings to be daily published here. They just don’t care, act immorally and illegally

nothing wrong with it. The repair guys commented on how many times they had been to our house! The problem would occur for a number of days then might stop for a month - but we basically stopped using as it was so frustrating. Years later we have discovered that someone else we know experienced the same issues with their dryer and theirs was replaced as there is apparently a known fault with the product!! Appalling service - cannot express how disappointing it is to spend this much on a dryer that does not work and receive such appalling service. We are renovating again now and with such poor service we will not be buying Bosch. Very poor form Bosch!

Dryer for regular clothing, not so much for blankets and quick drying – I've had this dryer for just over two years now. Used it regularly for house hold drying needs. The dryer only rotates in one direction causing your blankets to become entangled and not dry… Read more

correctly in the middle of the tight wad. To get nice dry clothing you need to set it manually every time to extra dry cardboard status. This means it can take up to 2 hours to do a load. You are unable to turn off the finish alarm trill at the end of the drying cycle as a setting. The overall design of the machine feels like cheap plastic. The lint catcher has two catchers which doesn't prevent all the lint from going through into the condenser opening. I put this down to a poorly designed lint catcher as lint finds its way past both catchers through the joins of the plastic.

On the positives the machine is quiet, cheaper to run then a traditional dryer and when working does a good job of drying clothing.

However, as of a yesterday (1 month past 2 year warranty) the machine is now unusable. The condensation draw which collects the water from the drying process is now stuck in the machine and will not budge further then 1 cm out of the machine. This leaves this machine unusable. As this machine cost a small fortune it is in my best interests to get it fixed. I will wait and see what the cost will be to repair it and what is causing the stuck draw. If anyone knows what's going on please advice me. The rest of the machine still works and runs.

Poor value for money - very disappointed – I have had this dryer for almost 4 years. It has had very little use in that time as i live in WA where we don't get much rain and there are only two of us in the house. and each time i re-start it has the same error message.

I rang Bosch - they said they had never heard of thios error message and would send an agent out. I see from a previous review someone else also had this error message!!!!!!

The Bosch agent just took it away saying he will let me know the price of the part it needs but that it wouldn't be cheap. He implied it may not be worth repairing.

I paid $2300 including an extended warranty and have hardly used it - not good enough Bosch

I called Bosch regarding the arrival of the spare part, and said my local repairer might have it on friday afternoon (17th of July) or on monday (20 July 2015).

Up to now Tuessday (21 July) Bosch repairer hasn't received the required spare part yet.

Bosch reputation is being ruined by bad service and lack of spare parts availability locally. It’s been a month without a dryer during winter, still waiting to be repaired!

about $150 off the power bill in one quarter, maybe even more. You never really can say that its any one thing with certainty. During the course of my 'house training' I ruined a couple of expensive items of clothing. Now I can put everything and anything in and know that it will come out perfect everytime. And contrary to what i have read here, much faster than our old conventional dryer. myadvise to the people that are having problems is to use the program that suits the load. I also changed the drying level preset to +1. Don't just use cotton program for everything. I like the idea of self cleaning condenser, my mum has one that u have to clean and its difficult and time consuming to do.As far as noise goes it rruns pretty quiet, Our clothes are staying newer for longer and most importantly when they come out the haven't shrinked a size or two like our old one, I also don't find it tangles anything. Our old one auto reversed and things got a lot more tangled than the bosch. Regarding the negative comments I have read, ifwhat is hhappening to some people was happening to me, I would be pretty annoyed. Bosch's customer service is widely known to be pretty average (something they definatly need to address with how strict our Australian consumer laws are, I'm sure in most cases here they are in breach but people just don't follow through and put the hard word on) , but they do make a good product. Ide would even go as far as saying the best. The other thing to consider most people are happy to get on here and have complain, but less likely to make the effort to say how good something is. I am converted and highly recomend to anyone in the market for a high end heat pump dryer. If your in the market for a washing machine, check out the IDOS 8KG. The make a perfect set. I now do all the washing, maybe that was her plan all along :) energy efficiency, solid build quality, quiet, gentle on clothes, programs, self cleaning condenser, Nothing, if anything knowing how bad bosch customer service is. read your rights you would be amazed how much they favour the consumer!

always did the trick. I've owned it for about 5 months now, and it's used every week. The LED lights inside help you to see any missed garments at the bottom of the large drum. The lights come on whenever you open the door, and for a few minutes after you've closed the door. It's quieter than my last tumble dryer, but still isn't entirely quiet.

The user manual could be a little more helpful, but is not impossible to follow.

It's easy to dry various types of garments, there are plenty of options, it's just sometimes it takes a little patience to work out the best setting/duration.

Emptying the water reservoir is easy, as is cleaning the double lint filters. I am thoroughly impressed with this appliance, and recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a dryer. It doesn't 'cook' the clothes, and seems to look after the garments much better than a tumble dryer. The double lint filter is very easy to access and clean. The machine is not plumbed so is perfect for apartment living A little pricey compared to other condensers on the market

Again like others I almost didn't purchase based on negative reviews of people still having 'wet/damp' clothes etc. perhaps they didn't persist using it enough. Because All I can say is I'm so glad I went with my gut & purchased it ... I LOVE it!!!

Yes, it takes a few uses to work out the settings but once you do it's AMAZING!!! No 'burnt' twisted scrunched washing, less ironing & does most fabrics. (I've even dried the kids joggers in it)

First thing I did was to photocopy & laminate the manual (settings guide page) I keep this in my laundry cupboard to reference to for when I have unusual items to dry.

Next just keep playing with the different settings to work out how to dry your most common washes then save it to the memory.(It has 2 x memory buttons)

I could talk on for days, my husband thinks I should be selling these with the amount of features I love. NO lint fluff blown out into laundry, does NOT condense your laundry to a damp room, A Light inside, LESS crinkles & Energy Efficient A+++++ A little expensive (shop around I ended up saving $700+)
