Hi Michael, I presume you are referring to your MagIQtouch controller? If you have a Wired controller, you may need to check that the cable is plugged firmly into the back of the controller. If it's a wireless controller, please try replacing the batteries. There is some troubleshooting on page 33 of the MagIQtouch controller manual which can be found here external link  Did you have the system recently installed? if so, I would recommend contacting the installer as there could be a fault with the system or an issue with the installation that needs to be rectified. Alternatively, if you've had your system for a few years, I suggest contacting your nearest Braemar service agent or Seeley International service on 1300 195 091 to book in a technician. There is a setting to change the limit

i dont think there is on the tq420. Do you know how to get to the setting?

Look for maximum fan speed... if you don't know the code to change it, google the answer... its the one thats locked by default. I recommend not touching any of the settings though, as I beleive this is where a lot of people go wrong... Also not using accredited installers, the again, I may just be lucky with the units I have, so far... 2017 onwards for the TQ420, about 6 months for the TQM520.

I was actually told by an installer that many people have issues with the TQ320 more than any of the others. All of the people I know that has the braemar heaters haven't had any issues... you know what they say, the ones with a lot of issues will post more than the ones who aren't having issues... personally, no issues for me or others I know to date... I don't know anyone with a TQ320... Only TQ420 and above.

Hi; I have been told that the position of the thermostat is very important.

Have not used program mode. Set my fan speed manually. My problem has been a circuit boards needing to be replaced once a year. Rubbish product.

Hi Peter, I don’t know much about heating system but I was also recommended by the company about this product but was discouraged from installer and he was encouraging me to install the old system (3 star). He told me that it is the new technology and big headache and complicated. I found the product big head ache and waste of money. Every year it has a problem. I am curious if the unit last it’s warranty. It is two weeks I don’t have any heating. I don’t recommend the product as well warranty service.

Hi, we have had our Seeley MagicTouch unit installed last week and are encountering the same problem. Did you manage to find a solution?

Not a solution, but a work around. We changed the year to 2009. It so happens that the dates and the days of the week are the same. It clearly is a software bug. We also tried changing the year to 2026 and it reverted to 2006.

Hello Gary. Depends on the exact model you have but in general there are two ways to do this. One is to activate the child lock on the remote control - but that doesn't stop someone changing it on the unit itself. Alternately you can do it at the unit and this is described on page 3 of the installation manual where it says (again depending on the exact model you have ) - Press and hold the UP button for 3 seconds. The "child lock" indicator will glow orange to show that the controls are locked. When the "child lock" is active all functions other than OFF are locked. If the heater is turned off while "child lock" is active, it cannot be turned back on until you exit "child lock". To exit "child lock" press and hold the DOWN button again for 3 seconds - the orange "child lock" indicator will go out. ~ Craig

I was told 10 because puts pressure on the fan and can cause problems. Minimum I was advised was 8. Hope this helps

U can but your gas consumption will increase a lot cause ot has to work harder and longer to achieve the temp. u set. I tried this and learned the hard way
