Excellent! – LOVE THIS MACHINE! It looks great. Steams milk fantastically. Consistent and no issues until 7 years down the track. Will definitely buy the new model when getting the next one. The only issue is that some of the black paint chipped off early on, and there was some rust in the opening for the water. but that's all superficial! didn't affect the quality. Show details
best I have had so far1 – The fourth coffee machine I bought for home and I love it. It is suitable for someone with some experience of manual steaming milk. The best thing about it is I can steam and make expresso shorts at the same time. So I dont' let my expresso or my milk wait. Also milk steaming is quite powerful and quite fast. It really turn the milk and make… Read more
nice milk foam. So I can make very beautiful latte art. Some users said the material is easy to break but so far my one is good for two years now. Need more time to reach stand by mode though. wont be too convenient if you only make one cup of coffee each time.
Efficient, effective and easy to use for cafe quality espresso at home – Had been waiting for this machine to be on sale and picked it up in the post Christmas sales. Works very well. I get consistent cafe quality espresso using it with the BCG820 grinder that goes with it. I like the timer function for the pour, very handy. The milk frothing function is fast and effective. Much faster than other espresso machines I… Read more
have used previously. I am a hobby home 'barista' (making espresso coffee at home for the last 13 years), this is my 4th machine with a commercial group head. So far so good. I intend to use filtered water though, rather than paying for new filters in the tank every 3 months. I have never had issues with this approach previously, with machines lasting well over the years
Worked great but has now failed!! Again – Like most people, this machine worked great for the first 18 months. After that it failed and had to have a group head replaced. Now, we have no pressure and it's leaking lots of water into the tray. Lucky I paid for an extended warranty. It's enough for me to consider other machines now - come on Breville, pick up your game.
Pretty good once the design fault was fixed – My machine didn't work at all to start with - no pressure ,slow flow rate giving me less than 10ml of really nasty tasting coffee with no creme. After a month I gave up trying to work out what I was doing wrong and had it serviced while still under warranty. I was told there was an internal problem with the valve that lets through the water - a… Read more
design fault. It makes a decent cup of coffee now but after reading all the other reviews I hope it doesn't break down again.
BS stands Bull Sh*t – I'm not sure if it makes good coffee, it's never worked as advertised. Breville can't / won't fix it, they have had it for over 3 months. Their after sales service is about as pleasant as an itchy bumhole. Save your money, stay clear of this and every other Breville product. Looks Good (it's only function) Spits hot coffee EVERYWHERE! Needs constant repair. Poor build quality. Extremely poor after sales service
