Breville Lift & Look Pro BTA720 / BTA730 Questions & Answers
VerifiedMy Breville from new a gift has burnt on one side of toast it is the middle element I am over it being a gift bought on line I’m stuck with it the giver being in Sydney and I’m in Newcastle.
My toaster won’t heat up. How do I open to check electrical components?
If it is under warranty take it back to the retailer you bought it from. Don't forget to bring your receipt. These sort of things aren't meant to be opened up. Have you tried another power point?
i have a Breville toaster model BTA730 that has not allowed me to separate the casing and clean it properly the base seems to be firmly stuck and even though I have removed all the screws as shown on the demo it still stuck very firmly to the casing.
Does anyone else's toaster get super hot on the outside? as in the metal heats up to a ridiculously high temp? I just purchased today, got it home and plugged it in to toast on highest setting to 'burn it in' but I've burnt my finger in thr process on the outside!
I was keen to buy the 4-slice option but based on these reviews I am hesitant as sounds faulty etc. Does anyone know if Breville have fixed the faults since the initial complaints? Is the current product for sale an upgraded model? TIA.
Ours only broke down recently so no fix I’m aware of. Only just out of warranty too. Stay away!!
I wouldn’t. It was frustrating when the push down level stopped working. I just bought an anka brand at K-Mart. It was cheap and works fine on the medium setting (on the high setting the edges burnt a bit). For twenty six bucks you could buy four of these for the price of a Breville. I’m over being ripped off for items built not to last.
My toaster BTA720 2 slice wont stay down. Its just over 1 yr old. Any help?
Has anyone else experienced their Breville Lift & Look Pro buttons lighting up and not working as they should? I’m forced to press multiple buttons just to get it to toast my bread.
I have a Breville toaster bta730 - it’s our second one- it is constantly beeping and pops up seconds after pushing it down- I’ve cleaned out the crumb tray and gently turned it upside down- still no change... any tips?
Just make sure you push it down firmly so that it locks in properly.
If you find this doesn't help if it is in the 12 month warranty see if you can get a new one under warranty.
I decided to clean crumbs from my BTA730 model and tipped it upside down and now it no longer locks in place! Is this a repair job or can I 'fix' myself?
Call Breville, tell them the unit is faulty or take back to store and get a refund. This model is a lemon.
Just bought the BTA730 and it continually pops up when toast is pushed down. Does this on all settings , not impressed with this operation. After reading many reviews on this product , it seems like a lot of other people are having the same problem as me. Any solutions as replacement doesn't seem to be the answer?
I would first get it replaced under warranty, you never know the next one might not be a dud. But if it is then you can explore your consumer rights having taken the first step :)
In the first instance take it back to the place of purchase, I had no issues with exchanging my toaster. Having said that the replacement was even worse. Emailing Breville will just get you a standard reply, "Please be advised our products meet Australian Design Regulations and Breville has stringent quality control procedures in place" My request for another model met with a reply "speak to Myer to see what they can do!", no accountability from Breville at all. I now steer well clear of anything Breville. Had they have been more supportive I would think otherwise.
