I have a Breville Ultimate Oven which has all the features in the BB420 manual, looks exactly the same except for there is no Beeper. As I had purchased my breadmaker via market-online, I just wanted to check whether there is another manual for my breadmaker & whether there is a Beeper. Thank you.

i have BB420, still working perfectly since 2002, but the LCD screen needs to be replaced, i can not see clearly the selection and the arrows , how can i replace it ? the machine it self still working and nothing wrong with it

Hi there, I bought the ultimate break maker series 111 (3) and unfortunately we moved houses and misplaced the dough mixer/s that goes in the tin to spin/mix the dough. How can I get a replacement please? I love it and have only unpacked after 2 years since our move.

Oh the BB420 comes with a special folding blade that eventually seizes if you don't clean it. They are expensive to replace but you can just buy the normal mixing blade and it's cheaper to buy. I use my bread maker all the time as it replaces any woman who can't cook. Pizzas are popular as is the bread and fruit loaf. 2nd favourite appliance,
How does the dried fruit dispenser work? I made fruit loaf and the fruit didn't drop.
The manual says, "The Automatic Fruit and Nut Dispenser will automatically release its contents 8 minutes before the end of the ‘knead 2’ phase, regardless of whether it has been loaded." It also says, "Lift open the lid of the Automatic Fruit and Nut Dispenser. Touch the base of the dispenser to check that it is completely closed before adding a maximum 3/4 cup of dry ingredients. If the base is open, see Troubleshooting." If the fruit is too sticky, it may not drop when the dispenser operates.

I have been given this bread maker from a friend and have just turned it on without realising how long it takes to bake a loaf. I have a doctor’s appointment in a couple of hours so is it okay to leave on for a couple of hours after it’s done? I don’t want it to overheat and be a hazard.
Hi Jeni.. what happens is that the bread will cool and condensate moisture on the bottom .. the bread is chewy and horrible to eat. Best to take out straight away and put on a cooling tray. Mike

Hello, Does anyone know how to stop the collapsing paddle from spinning during the RISE cycle?? In the first rise cycle the bread rose up like a normal loaf should, then as soon as the paddle spun it went flat (pushing all the air out of it) then went flatter and flatter in subsequent rise cycles when the paddle spun. Please help :-)

Thanks and eventually Breville customer service emailed me one, they are really helpful & efficient.
How do I remove the blade to clean it properly?
The instructions for the current model presume that the paddle can be easily removed: external link The paddle in my pre-owned BB420 is so difficult to remove that I am cleaning it in place.
The paddle should wriggle free, pulling up as turning..as per instructions, next time you are successful removing paddle spray a little kitchen non stick spray on paddle rod in the bowl. Otherwise contact Breville they were very helpful.
1/2 fill the pan with hot, soapy water. Wait a little while and you can pull the paddle out easily. You really need to do this because it is too difficult to properly clean around the paddle with it in situ. Cheers.
