Hi. I have a bromic superheat gas heater. It is 2 years old but keeps switching off. May it need a service. If so who do you recommend

Hi there, What is the meaning of FLUELESS? Does it mean it is safe to use indoor and won’t produce Carbon monoxide?
simply flueless means it needs no chimney to vent it so it won't produce carbon monoxide but you must make sure there is sufficient oxygen in the room to feed it like opening a window nearby about 5cm ok furthermore these heaters are fitted with safety valves that will shut the heater off if there is not enough oxygen available or knocked over and if you are worried about carbon monoxide build-up you can buy a carbon monoxide alarm like a fire alarm for around 45 dollars I did and using it will make you feel better knowing your safe too ok
Thanks Rockie.
I have a LPG gas connection in my living room and I was wondering how I can check that this heater is compatible with it. Also, what does installation involve? Thanks!
hi Hima, first of all, is it a natural gas connection or a bottle gas connection the bottles will be big and probably out the back whichever one it is it will fit send me a picture of the gas connection and i will confirm if it will fit manly inside the connection ok
It is a gas connection via the pipeline, not the bottled one. Let me click a picture and add it
Can't really attach a picture here, is there an email id I can send the pics to? Thanks
hi got pictures thanks and yes it will work on this connection but make sure you buy the right one for your gas inlet cause at first you said it was LPG which stands for liquid petroleum gas which is a bottle gas if its natural gas which is piped in from the street that's fine but you cant use an LPG heater on a natural gas line and you cant use natural gas heaters with LPG reason why LPG is a thicker gas there for there heater jets are different in size to natural gas which is thinner if you know what I mean now getting back to the bromic heater they are very good value and works really really well keeps me so warm every night, especially on a cold day like today ow and installation is simple unpack it there is a hose with attached to the heater on the other end there's a coupling all you do is push it into the connection all the way on the floor and turn clockwise until it won't turn anymore it should lock in an easy way to know if its in properly just try to pull on it slightly if its ok your all done light it up and feel the warmth there are two setting one low the other high ow there are instructions in the box too they come in LGP and natural gas as well ow and another tip I bought mine on EBAY where there selling for around $500.00 plus dollars but find a site where they auction them off I got mine for around $300.00 and its like brand new got my sister one too after she had seen mine and loved it shes tickled pink too good luck keep me up to date as how you go ok
Thanks so much Rockie! Yes I meant the Natural Gas one, sorry for the confusion. Ordered mine from MyDeal but it cost me 540 bucks, didn't know about the auction site :( will check it out the next time.
thats not to bad a price for a natural gas heater its seems on ebay they only auction off LPG ones so you payed about the right price. reason for that that is more and more homes have natural gas as where homes with big outdoor gas bottles are becoming less these day hence hard to sell LPG heaters now so auctioning them off trust me they are good value for money you will be happy with it let me know how it goes ok
will do, thanks so much for all the advice :)
your very welcome
hi hima did you get the heater yet

Greetings, have this heater for over 3 years and it's an amazing heater, have checked out the metal frame in the front and want to remove it for cleaning, as nothing is written in the manual about this?
Hi mate can be done but a bit tricky first using just your fingers pull the grill up from the bottom left of the heater till it pops out it may bend a bit but try not to bend it to much once its out the right side will come out pull it all the way out done. Ow and don't use any chemicals to clean it out as this can damage the heater just wipe clean with a wet cloth then dry wipe it put grill back on the same way you removed it done let me know how you go please
Hi There, We don’t recommend removing the grill. For cleaning the best method is to ensure that the grill is completely cool (room temperature) and then follow Rockie’s directions (don’t use chemicals, just use a damp cloth and then a dry cloth).
Kind regards, Bromic Plumbing and Gas
appreciate this, I did try to remove the front grill but didn't seem to want to come out so used a damp cloth with a wooden spoon in one of the gaps in the front grill to clean the bottom silver panel which worked out extremely well. However, we keep in mind Rockie's way to clean for future time.
Is it safe to connect on wall socket. We already have a socket . Do we need a technician.
Hi kiru first is it a lpg heater ? if yes is the wall socket connected to lpg bottles ? outside and are they full if yes to everything you are good to go ok
Hi kiru just another quick point you can't use an lpg gas heater with natural gas and a natural gas heater with lpg gas there not compatable let me know how you go ok
Hi Kiru, If you already have a wall socket in your home, then it is safe for you to connect and disconnect your Supaheat II heater to the wall socket. Rockie’s comments are correct, you need to ensure that the heater you have is correct for the type of gas (LPG or Natural Gas) available. This heater cannot be connected directly to an LPG bottle. bromic supaheat11 natural gas heater sparks but does not ignite, where can I get it repaired here in Melbourne. I live at Somers near Hastings Vic.
hi laine first how old is it and can you tell me your set up ie; is it plugged into a wall socket or a bottle inside also do you have a instruction manual. with this info I may be able to help you get started ok get back to me soon
Hi Rckie, sorry for delay in getting back to you. I purchased my supaheat 11 new 18mths ago. It is connected to a natural gas bayonet in the house. I have checked the gas nipple and given the thermocouple a light clean. All was well for about a dozen uses, then would not light again. Pretty sure it is the Thermocouple.
