My after pressing foot rest button.hand weel not rotating why?
I need to open the plastic cover . Need to know the screw location.
How do you change the light bulb on the GS3700 brother sewing machine ?
Bulb fused. I am in Trivandrum. Where is the service center in Trivandrum?
What is the difference between a 1-step buttonhole & a 4-step buttonhole?
You have to click the dial for each for directions of the hole so a=down b=across ect... where with the 1 step it does it in 1 setting
Thank you.
I aM trying to learn how to use the "automatic" buttonholer, but need more detailed instructions than I can see on the DVD.
Is there a clearer example of how to set the machine up for this process?
I'm sorry, I can't help you with this. I haven't tried the button holer yet. Have you looked on You Tube? There are often tutorials there.
Yes, I've looked on YouTube, but none covers this model machine and everyone differs.
there is a special piece that should be there with the machine when you buy it. It is a long plastic one that is replaced with the usual foot and it has a space where u lay the button and hold it down which automatically adjusts the size of the buttonhole to the size of the button. You put your fabric under the foot in way that you know the buttonhole would be sewed backwards then forwards. very important is when you are ready to sew the buttonhole, pull down the metal piece on the left of the foot and push back then start sewing, otherwise it won't work out.
Hi there i think this video is more than enough if you can translate it helped me so much

is this machine good for quilting?
I'm sorry, I don't know. That information might be available on the product website. Good luck!
I have the Brother GS3700
I've had quite a few issues with it.
It's been threaded correctly but when I'm sewing the thread up top is going along and then all of a sudden it spins really quickly and all all the stitching bunches up at the back on the fabric.
It continues to do this.
I've played around with the tension and it continues to do that same.
Any help would be great.
Regards
Well there's a few things that come to mind. First it could be that the thread is catching somewhere in the eye and then knotting up or the stitch is wrong for the fabric. Try a strong thread such as upholstery thread or the like. Try not to use general purpose, embroidery or generic thread (basically anything you can break with your fingers) as these pill a lot and can cause that to happen. A new needle might help as if the needle is only slightly bent or blunt the bobbin won't feed properly. Try a different needle type and size. I've found that if it's messing up a particular thing then hand wheeling is a quick fix. If none of this works then take it back for a refund or throw it in the bin and get a good one as this is a problem I have as well and it's just because it's a cheap machine. I have seventy year old treadle power singers that work better than this thing. It's not complete garbage but it'll only do basic tasks. Don't expect it to do everything it says on the box. It won't.
