I have just recently been given a Brother NS10 sewing machine but it has no bobbin cover and the plastic lid that usually covers the bobbin is missing too. Where can I purchase these parts from?

I am in Canberra.

My fabric isn't feeding through, therefore the thread 'sews' in a knot underneath. Why is this?

Your feed dogs must be down. It was probably set to that for free motion quilting so the feed dogs don't pull the fabric in one direction. Have a look at the manual to see how to raise them again.

This would be a great machine but the thread from the top keeps getting tight and breaking. Does anyone know what the problem would be please?

Your tension is to tight, if not take and get it serviced the timing might be off

Hi. It could be the tension, upper or lower in the bobbin. Youtube instructions on how to clean the bobbin and check tension. Top tension should be at at 4.
